What is the destination of those who take devatas’ prasad?

In 3.14 purport, what is the destination of those who partake of some devata’s prasadam (food offered to a devata), say, on regular basis? Won’t devata’s prasadam diminish one’s sinful reactions or at least add some pious credits?
