Commenting guidelines
Guidelines for commenting on the site
We want to hear from you and are eager to receive your comments; they are integral to the educational purpose of the site. They promote further deliberation and discussion on the topics presented on the site. Moreover, they also help us understand how our services are of use to you as well as how our services need to be improved.
At the same time, as this is a public forum, we have, on the request of several visitors of the site, decided to moderate all comments before posting. Generally your comments will be approved within a few hours of being posted and will thereafter appear on the site.
We request you to keep in mind the following points while writing your comments:
- Please make sure that your comments to a post are relevant to the content of that post. If you have questions or clarifications unrelated to any specific post, you are welcome to state those on the “ask me” page on the blue pane on the left sidebar on the home-page.
- While commenting, please avoid words that are abusive or derisive, as well as remarks that may foster bigotry or may seem slanderous or defamatory.
- If your comments involve questions or objections about the points mentioned in an article, we will generally post those comments along with the answers. As posting these answers – either in textual or audio format – may require some time, kindly bear with us if your comments don’t appear soon after being posted.
The above guidelines apply retrospectively to comments posted in the past which have been removed from the site permanently if they were written in an inappropriate tone or temporarily if they raised questions that needed to be answered.
