As Radha was the aunt of Krishna, isn’t their relationship illicit?
ISKCON forbids illicit relationship/sex. Radha was Krishna’s maternal aunt ( ie: Mami ). Is this not illicit relationship? And he had sexual relationship with her. Krishna is married to Rukmani the daughter of King Rukmangad. Radha was married to Krishnas uncle. Krishna who abandons his lawfully wedded wife Rukmini and seduces Radha wife of another man and lives with her in sin without remorse. Here you cannot say just because Krishna is the supreme being he is justified doing this. In-fact if he is so all knowing he could have made Radha like maybe sister of Krishnas uncles wife atleast he would have been saved the blasphemous act of having sex with her maternal aunt.

Whoever this is..a humble request..just as a layman who isn’t educated in the field of science cannot comment on it so is spiritual science..even when we’re not qualified to speak on certain subjects we want to stick our neck out..I sincerely and humbly urge the gentleman to first understand Krishna before he comments so that he can be saved from the blasphemous act of blaspheming Krishna..this truly reflects the perverted intelligence of this age..#shameful
This is an illuminating answer. People erroneously call Radha as Krishna’s aunt, a fallacy. Nowhere in the Puranas is that mentioned. People should refrain from making such comments without sufficient knowledge of the Puranas.
Question received by email from Yogesh Purohit Pr:
Prabhu, I hear your reply to the question As Radha was the aunt of Krishna, isn’t their relationship illicit?and I have following question in that matter. Kindly forgive my ignorance. In your reply, it is mentioned that Radha was married to Abhimanyu and Abhimanyu is Krishna HIMSELF.
My heart was not able to accept the Abhimanyu was Krishna HIMSELF, because if he indeed IS then why did he have to be died in Cakravyuh, since Krishna knows everything, Abhimanyu would have known how to get out of Cakravyuh too. Is there scriptural reference of this fact?
Thanks for the question; this “Abhimanyu” is not the son of Arjuna, he is a gopa (cowherd boy) in Vrindavan. Abhimanyu was a common name in ancient times and thus two entirely different persons had the same name.
all glories to sri guru and sri gauranga
abhimanyu is shadow of krsna. nobody else except krishna can posses srimati radhika . she is the pleasure potency of lord and love personified. if krishna has a form this is because of srimati radhika. srimati radhika is the source of all potencies . we gaudiya vaishnavs especially worship srimati radhika as our propriter . abhimanyu never touched srimati radhika and offered obiesance to her as she was the property of krishna.gaudiya vaishnavs desire to be maidservants of srimati radhika. krsna and srimati radhika sre inseprable . hare krishna
Hare Krishna Prabhuji
To understand about the position of Abhimanyu ,one can refer to the Chamatkara chandrika written by Vishvanatha chakravarti thakura .
Abhimanyu is described as the son of jatila ,her sister named kutila ,their family lives in yavat gram( 2 miles from nand gram).
His character is described as follows :
“The foolish and dull-witted cowherd boy, who by Yoga-maya’s illusion, appears to be the husband of Shrimati Radharani; but in reality, never touches Her or has any factual relationship.”
Also ,while describing the character of Srimati radharani ,it is described as follows:
“She is marrried to Abhimanyu by the divine illusory arrangement of Yoga-maya ”
Now these explanations of the Abhimanyu as given by Vishvanatha chakravarti thakura ,clearly shows that ,it is by divine illusory arrangements of yoga maya ,they both were married . But factually ,Abhimanyu never touched her ,nor he did he had any kind of relationship of that of the wife and husband .
