What is the Vedic perspective on the book “Secret”?

The book, ‘Secret’ by Rhonda Byrne, explains the law of attraction. In short it says that our thoughts change to reality, that is if we want something we get it. Now i wanted to ask that what is the vedic understanding of this theory. Does it agree with it?

lord krishna says “whatever appears to be separate from me ,know that to be the illusory energy of mine ”
this instruction to a certain extent applies in the above case too ,where some people consider power of mind and our thoughts to be complete in and of itself .but the law of attraction ,as is marketed as being some big secret ,it’s just trying to prove the omnipotence of human will over god’s will . and to exercise such things ,god has given us a chance in this material world ,so that we can gradually understand the futility of our desires to lord over the material nature . and if we do the same mistake again ,then there remains no chance for us to go back home, back to godhead .
thus the first thing that we should ask on such matters is that ,what is the god’s role in law of attraction . if this law of attraction talks about dovetailing our human will with god’s will ,then yes they are right ,but other way round ,we are in illusion ,know this for certain . and positively speaking , rather than trying to use this law of attraction as some kind of formula to attract money and cars ,as they usually talk about ,we should try to attract krishna ,so that all our desires will be directed to the right place and those desires will also be fulfilled . that is the big secret ,which often many motivational speakers try to avoid .
