Will recitation of Vishnu Sahasranama give the blessing of immoral pleasures without sinful reactions?
From: Amit
In the phala sruti of vishnu sahasranama, Bhishmadev says that those who desire opulent arrangements for sense gratification will attain them. Does this mean that those who want to enjoy meat eating, intoxication and illicit sex will be able to do so without suffering concomitant reactions? Please comment.

One should refer to the ten offenses against chanting the holy names of Lord as mentioned in Padma Purana (Section: Brahma Khanda 25.15–18)
The seventh offense is as follows :
namno balad yasya hi papa-buddhir
na vidyate tasya yamair hi suddih
“To commit sinful activities on the strength of the holy name. ”
Thus it is not the right understanding that , those who want to enjoy meat eating, intoxication and illicit sex will be able to do so without suffering concomitant reactions . it is one of the great offense .
Further ,phala sruti ,may at times talk about getting the benefits of holy name ,by talking about opulent arrangements like long life , all desires will be fulfilled ., getting a good wife and money . but ,by this one should not understand that chanting of the holy names ,is simply a ritualistic karma kanda activity done ,for attaining some material benefits. As the eight offense says
dharma vrata tyaga hutadi sarva
subha kriya samyam api pramadah
” To consider the chanting of holy names as one of the auspicious ritualistic activities which are offered in the Vedas as fruitive activities (Karma kanda). ”
Thus one should shield oneself from this offenses ,in order to quickly achieve the love of god ,and chanting the holy name or for that matter any of the aspects of devotional service ,should not be used as a license to go immoral .
