The keypoint that you made was understanding the difference between aesthetic and analytical viewpoint to know god . Those who are jnana yogis and some others like mayavadis may consider analytical aspect of understanding god is complete in and of itself .and this analytical aspect is considered in upanishads .whereas devotees and books like srimad bhagavatam considers analytical understanding partly ,but more importance is given to understand the significance of aesthetic appeal ,which is dealt in bhakti yoga and rasa sastras. emotions may become barrier for jnanis ,for them bhakti is often a medium to be used to reach something higher than bhakti . whereas for devotees ,aesthetic appeal is the summit , and analysis through intelligence is just serving the medium which ultimately at the highest level doesn’t play an significant role .
