Do vaishyas have to do brahminical occupation to come to goodness for practicing bhakti?

It is said that one should come to the mode of goodness to steadily practice bhakti. But, does coming to mode of goodness mean that everyone should become a brahmana and there should be no ksatriyas, vaisyas and sudras?
