Why do we counter-push against lower modes and not against goodness?
From Sushant Kulkarni P
When our modes of nature (our body, mind) impel us to fulfill sensual desires, we try to counter-push the modes. But, when the same modes impel us to act in a, say, brahminical way we don’t counter-push the modes to try to act in some other way, say, ksatriya’s way. So, why is it that in one case we suppress the modes’s instincts and in the other case we go along with the modes?

could you please explain the difference between the goodness and transcendental goodness.srila prabhupada often differentiates between this, what exactly is transcendental and material goodness. is simply being materially good, not enough for progress in the life.
