The audience should not cherry pick certain statements and base the whole philosophy on that single statement. We have to see what is the overall message, overall mood and activities of the Krishna Consciousness Movement.
Srila Prabhupada emphasized all the time that we are not this body, so this simply means he disregarded the importance of material advancements… so if we understand that his emphasis was always towards spiritual advancement then we do not need to concern so much about isolated statements, that were made in specific contexts or done for preaching purposes.
