Thanks for elaborately replying to the comments. When we juxtapose these two seemingly varying view points, what emerges is that the spiritual mentor, guide or counsellor of any person who has come into spiritual life should be able to gauge the inclinations of the person and accordingly guide him/her so that progressively one reaches the highest stage of renunciation which is based on complete attachment to Krishna’s service and not out of frustration or lethargy. It should be Yuktya Vairagya and not Phalgu Vairagya.
Sadly we lack such mature mentors/guides in our community. Nonetheless not making this as an excuse we should do whatever is in our area of influence so that we ourselves become such mature guides and thereafter train others also to become good devotees and so on and so forth. “Jeev Jago….Bhagvad Gita samjho aur samjhayo” can be our guiding principle and motto.
