“I often answer on various online forums like quora, indiadivine etc. I see that , there are many misconceptions spread amongst Hindus. The general understanding of entire hinduism seems to be tilted towards impersonal philosophy or what we can specifically call as “Neo-vedanta”. Making symbolism about puranas, proclaiming oneness of trinity, etc. are some of the misconceptions. People have their strong prejudice for such understanding about hinduism. So, if some devoted vaishnava make some clarification may be like lord vishnu is supreme god,or all puranic stories are real, etc. Then, he is branded as a part of heretic sect. He will be least upvoted by the audience. But on the other hand, if some impersonalist proclaims about some unknown paramatma and equate all the deities to be same form of brahman, then they are very much liked in audience circles.they will have maximum upvotes and likes. This Neo-vedantist are given the tag of being liberal and secular. So by these, we can actually understand the mood of the general hindus. They have tilted more or less towards Neo-vedanta mixed with impersonalism. Countering such misconceptions is a great challenge. Though in kali yuga, we can’t expect everyone to become vaishnavas, but still we can try our level best.

Yes, it’s a formidable challenge. Again, we all need to choose the battles that we feel inspired to fight.
