Hare Krishna Prabhuji , Thank you so much ,what i could understand is that following the heart and the conscience are different .Following the heart means the deep cherished and innermost driving aspiration ,following the heart in spiritual level may be different and when it comes to practical level following the heart will depend on what is current position of the sould in body mind machine & whatever is natural and most fulfilling for the soul in this disposition is what is following heart &it will vary from person to person depending upon once bodily nature eg. of Bramhanical ,shatriya bodies you said. Conscience has to do with ethical decision making choosing between right or wrong .And soul is the source of energy that makes everything happen ,nonetheless the soul being the conscious decision maker but is affected by many things as you mentioned ,otherwise soul being spiritual should be attracted to Krishna always but it is getting attracted to different things instead. And by going through the purificatory process we will one day get attracted to spiritual things being soul.
