Hare Krishna So today I will discuss how we can overcome doubts. How to overcome doubts. I will take an example from Ramayana and based on that I will give three main points and we will discuss them.
After taking one point, I can ask you some questions. We will discuss three things. In Ramayana, Lord Ramachandra's main companion is a monkey.
Monkey and Ramachandra meet for the first time in the forest. When Sita Devi is kidnapped, Ramachandra goes to Chitrakoot, then to Dandakarani, then to South India. Ramachandra comes to Kishkindha.
When Ramachandra comes to Kishkindha, there is a small group of monkeys watching him. Who is the leader of these monkeys at that time? Who? Sugri Sugri is the leader of these monkeys. Sugri is sitting on a hill at that time.
Sugri looks from there and asks, who is this? When Sugri looks from there, he thinks it is Rishi. When someone is in the forest, whatever situation we are in, we get accustomed to the sounds of that situation. When we get familiar with that, we don't get confused.
Right now, you are trying to listen to this speech. There are many sounds. Some kids are playing in the background, some people are talking.
Traffic is going on nearby. When we get used to these sounds, we don't get distracted. But suddenly, we hear the sound of a big machine.
What is this? A big car is going, a plane is going. What is happening? When we see something extraordinary in our situation, we get distracted. There were different kinds of animals in the forest.
There are different kinds of sounds of animals. All that was natural there. But when Sugri saw that there was a different sound, he got alert.
Who is this? What is this? And when Sugri saw that two humans are walking here, he got confused. What are humans doing here? Why have they come here? And when they came here, he noticed that they look strange. Why do they look strange? Because their attire is similar to that of Rishis.
But at the same time, they have bows in their hands. A Rishi is a Brahmin, a Sanyasi, etc. But a bow is a warrior.
So, what is this? When we observe the world, we make categories in our mind. We divide our experience and then do the right thing. Let's say we meet a new person.
When we see his face, we say, where is he from? He is from Bombay, Bengal, America. And then we decide how to talk to him, in which language. So, we try to divide what we see into categories.
So, let's say there is a person with a white face. We say, he is American. We should talk to him in English.
But, when I came to the temple 20-25 years ago, I saw an American face. And then I saw that American face in Dhoti Kurta. What is this? How did this happen? Dhoti Kurta is an Indian country.
The face is American. Americans wear different kinds of clothes. So, when we divide our experience into categories, but when something does not fit in our categories, we ask questions.
What is this? Why is it like this? Similarly, Sugriv has a question in his mind. Who is this? He looks like a Rishi, but his bow is like that of a Kshatriya. So, we have to be careful.
And then, because Sugriv at that time was in great fear of one person. Who was that person? Bali. There was a misunderstanding between Sugriv and Bali.
Because of that, Bali was ready to kill Sugriv. He was ready to kill Sugriv. And Sugriv was trying to stay away from him.
So, what was happening to Sugriv? Whatever he saw, that was a reflection of that fear. Who is this person? Bali must have sent him to kill Sugriv. He even had a bow.
And he was afraid. So, what happens? When we do anything in our life, when we see something, we see it according to our experiences. It is not that we see this person, and we see that person.
It is not like that. Our previous experiences affect our vision in a way. And because of this, every person sees the same thing.
But those ten people don't see the same thing. Every person sees different things. Because our vision, our mental division, and our previous experiences affect our vision.
So, now, if we see Lord Ramachandra, we will feel very fortunate. It is a matter of great happiness. We see that Shabari, in a way, Bali was a warrior.
He had the ability to protect himself. But when Shabari saw Lord Ramachandra, she felt great happiness. Because her thoughts were different.
Her heart's desires were different. So, whatever we see, we don't see it with our eyes. What we see with our eyes, is according to our thoughts, and especially our previous experiences.
So, in the same way, if we come to the temple of God, and meet the devotees of God, then according to our previous experiences, we see that person, that thing, and the temple as well. A month ago, I came from America. I was in America for 3-4 months.
I was doing publicity there. So, in America, there are some provinces, which are called Bible Belt. Bible Belt means that Christians do a lot of publicity there.
The whole of America is not so influenced by Christianity, but there are some provinces. So, the Christians who do publicity there, they do it so forcefully. Not forcefully, but forcefully.
They do it forcefully, so that people get tired of it. So, I was there with a person. People write different slogans on the bumper of their car.
So, on one of the car's slogans, they wrote, Oh God, please save me from your preachers. Oh God, please save me from your preachers. Now, God saves us through his preachers.
We get divine knowledge through the preachers. And then, we progress through them. But, if we meet a preacher who does it so forcefully, someone says, you won't do this, you will go to hell.
How does it look like? I don't want to talk to him. So, when a person meets a preacher, according to his previous experience, he sees, who is this person? How is he doing it? What is he saying? When we meet someone, sometimes, some people talk to us nicely, some people don't talk to us nicely. So, we think, why is he talking like this? So, is there a mistake in me? Maybe there is a mistake in us, but sometimes, there won't be a mistake in us.
But, what is it? By seeing us, something is happening in their mind. So, Lord Ramchandra tries to hit someone with his bow. But, what is it? There is a doubt in Sugriva's mind.
So, what happens is, when we experience something, when we see something, the emotions that come to our mind, they don't just come from that thing, they also come from our previous experiences. That's why, when we are seeing something, our past experiences will shape our present perceptions. But, they shouldn't restrict our present perceptions.
Our past will affect all of us now. But, we shouldn't respect our past. We are products of our past.
But, we don't have to be the prisoners of our past. We are going to be affected by our past. But, if someone experiences something bad, some people come to the temple, and some people don't talk to them nicely.
There are thousands of people in the temple. Some people don't talk to them nicely. I will never go to the temple.
No, it's not like that. Because of one experience, we don't have to restrict ourselves forever. We will definitely be affected by our past experiences.
But, we don't have to be restricted by our past experiences. What happened to Sugriva here? Because his past experience was like this, when he saw Lord Rama, he started to have doubts. Why is this happening? Who is he? So, this was the first point.
Our doubts are not only because of that situation. They are also because of our mental state. They are also because of our past experiences.
Does anyone have a question on this? Any questions? Sorry? What happened? Okay. It's a big question. Okay.
Why did Lord Rama have doubts on Sita? Lord Rama never had doubts on Sita. If Lord Rama had doubts on Sita, then, even after sending Sita away from him, when he had to do Yajna, then, he kept Sita's idol with him. So, when one has to do Yajna, sometimes, one feels very pure.
If he felt that Sita is impure, then, he could have brought someone else. He could have married some other princess. He could have brought some other queen.
But, he did not marry anyone else. And, he kept Sita's idol with him. That's why, Lord Ramachandra never had doubts on Sita.
The situation was, I have written a book on Ramayan. I will tell you about it later. But, I have discussed it in detail.
Why did Lord Ramachandra send Sita away from him? One thing is, he did not send Sita on exile. When Lord Ramachandra went on exile, there was nothing far from Ayodhya, in the forest. When he sent Sita, he was in his own kingdom, in Valmiki's Ashram.
So, in a way, he was in the forest, but not in exile. He was in his own kingdom. So, why did he do that? It is important for us to understand that situation and that culture.
A king has to show the ideal of attachment. In this materialistic world, everyone gets attached easily. So, everyone considers a king to be an ideal.
That's why, in Bhagavatam, Mahabharata, Ramayan, the kings, when they grow old, they take a leave. They go to the forest, or take retirement and do spiritual work. So, I am giving an example that, we should show in spite of having so many materialistic things.
So, it was necessary to show detachment to Lord Ramchandra. So, what happened at that time? Some people spread such rumours that, because Sita was living in Lanka, that's why she became impure. So, Lord Ramchandra had no doubt about this.
And, due to the fire test, all doubts were cleared. But, these rumours spread like fire. A while ago, I was in America.
There is a city called Paradise in California. Its name is Paradise. Paradise means heaven.
But, that paradise has become hell. Such a big forest fire came there. The whole town was burnt to ashes.
Nothing was left in it. So, when a fire comes, some of the fires are such that, if you don't pay attention to it, it extinguishes itself. Some of the fires are so big that it is difficult to extinguish it.
So, when such rumours spread, which rumour should we oppose? Which rumour should we ignore? And, according to which rumour should we act? We can understand it only in that situation. There is no standard response for it. So, if Ramchandra, who was spreading this rumour, was acting against him, then people used to say that how attached you are.
A while ago, you were living with Sita. And, now, there is an accusation So, you are acting against the accusers. So, he could never do such a thing.
And, he also saw that it is the duty of a husband to protect his wife. And, it is the duty of a king to set an example for his subjects. So, both these duties were pulling him in two different directions.
So, what should he do? So, he decided to do both the duties, but in a different way. So, he sent Sita away to his own kingdom. Because she was in his kingdom, he was safe.
But, because she was not with him, people could not accuse him. And, every incident has its reasons in different ways. So, in Shastras, Madhacharya tells and in Palmikramani, it is told that when there was an Asura, there are different types of Asuras, who try to get different kinds of wealth.
So, this Asura thought he was very clever. So, he asked for a vow that as long as Lakshmi Narayan is with me, I will not be able to die. So, now, all the Asuras started spreading.
So, he thought, as long as Lakshmi Narayan is with me, I will not be able to die. So, Prabhushri Ramchandra did such a miracle that Ram and Sita got separated. And, when they got separated, Indra attacked that Asura.
Madhacharya tells this in Mahabharata. And, that Asura was still very powerful. So, there was a long war.
And, when that Asura was killed, then only, Prabhushri Ramchandra called Sita back to him. Do you know, what happened later? After the war with Lava and Kush, he met Sita again. So, he called her back.
So, this happened not because of doubt. It did not happen just because of rumours. He did this on the basis of his duty at that time.
And, there are different types of things that happen. So, this was the reason why he did this. So, we will discuss further here.
When Sugriva saw him, he asked, who is he? First, he got scared. And, when he gets scared, he has two responses. Fight and flight.
When he gets scared, if he is younger than us, beat him. Or, if he is older than us, run away. So, there are three qualities of nature.
Do you know? Sattva, Rajas and Tamas. Thank you. So, the response in Rajas is fight.
When a person is in Rajaguna, if there is any problem, any danger, hit him. Destroy him. When we are in Tamas, the response is flight.
Run away. So, when we are capable, in Rajas, we overestimate ourselves. We consider ourselves more capable than we are.
I will beat him. And, when we are in Tamas, we consider ourselves less capable than we are. So, there is no proper response in Rajas and Tamas.
So, as soon as Sugriya saw him, he thought, who is he? Maybe he has come to kill me. So, I will kill him. I will kill him.
But, who is he? He could not run away because that was the only place where he was safe from Wali. Wali got a curse from a Rishi that you cannot come to this area. So, Wali could not come.
So, Sugriya was afraid that Wali would send someone. So, Wali had no choice but to run away from there. So, should I attack him? Should I attack him or not? He was thinking.
Then what happened? Jambavan was with Sugriya. Hanuman was also there. So, Jambavan said, Jambavan was experienced.
Jambavan was with Sugriya. But, Sugriya was always afraid of Wali. Jambavan was not afraid of him.
What happens is we get one experience in our life. We get one kind of experience. And because of that experience we see all our things in the same way.
But, those who are more experienced than us know that there are different kinds of people in the world. There are different kinds of experiences. They know.
So, based on one thing, based on one experience, based on one experience, we should see our whole life in the same way. So, Jambavan was very experienced with Wali Sugriya. So, Jambavan said, First, you should know who he is.
Don't talk about attacking him. Ok. So, he said, he called Hanuman.
He said to Hanuman, you go and examine yourself. So, when he went to examine himself, he said, first, you should go in your natural form. You are a monkey, but become a Brahmin.
And go in the form of a Brahmin. This is actually Hanuman's wisdom. Buddhimatam arishtam.
Hanuman's virtue is Buddhimatam arishtam. So, with that thought, he went there. So, he thought, first, I will not tell who I am.
So, he went there and started talking. He came down from the mountain. And then, he appeared Ram and Lakshmi.
on this path. And they appeared in front of him. Now, there was a Brahmin culture there.
As soon as he saw that they are in the form of Brahmin, Ram and Lakshmi stopped there. And, the Brahmin greeted them. They greeted each other.
And then, they started talking. And then, the conversation started. When we see each other, we see each other in four ways.
We see each other in four ways. What are the four things? First is, how that person looks, what that person speaks, how that person speaks, and what that person does. How does he look? How does he speak? What does he speak? And what does he do? Now, in your life, if you meet a new person, you see what kind of clothes he is wearing.
That is the first impression. When he starts talking, how does he talk? You see, he talks in English. He looks educated.
He talks in Hindi. Some people cannot even utter a single sentence without abusing. It happens that you wonder what kind of person he is.
What does he speak? How does he speak? We get our impression from both of them. And then, what does he do? You work here. This is your business.
So, when we meet each other, we measure each other And see, first of all, how does he look? But what he speaks, has a lot of influence on his speech. What does he speak and how does he speak? Chanakya Pandit says that if a king wants to conquer the world, the more he should use his sword, the more he should use his tongue. Because no matter how brave a king is, he cannot fight all the armies.
A king has to inspire his army. And how does he inspire? With his speech. So, this tongue is very important.
And all of us learn to speak. When we are young, when we are 1-2 years old, our parents teach us how to speak. But then, we only learn the language.
Learning the language and learning to speak are different. Everyone learns the language. But learning to speak is very important.
And what does it mean to learn to speak? Some people already have the power that when they speak, they are very fluent. When they speak, it feels like the river Ganga is flowing from their mouth. So, that fluency may not come in everyone.
But how we speak and what we speak, we can determine by ourselves. When we read the scriptures, when we read the scriptures, when we do satsang, then what we speak becomes more fluent. That is why, in Bhagavad Gita, Bhagavan says that we also do penance.
He says, speak in such a way that others' minds are not disturbed. speak in such a way that others' minds are not disturbed. Speak in such a way that others' minds are not disturbed.
Speak in such a way that others' minds are not disturbed. I am telling you this about the Advaani because when Ram, Lakshman and Hanuman met, Sugriva had doubts but Hanuman was not aware about who he was. So, what happens? If someone has a doubt, they don't give information.
If someone knocks on our door and asks, who are you? Why are you asking? What do you want to achieve by giving us information? So what is it? Whenever we want to get some information, first of all we should reduce the doubt. So this is what Hanumanji does. Since the time he comes there, Hanumanji is so intelligent that he not only takes the form of a Brahmin, but he is also the wisdom of a Brahmin.
As soon as he starts speaking, his speech is so sweet, his speech is so good, that even Lord Rama says, that after listening to this speech, I feel so peaceful, I feel so happy. There are some people, who speak in such a way, that they feel like running away from there. There are two types of people.
Some people, when they come, they bring happiness. And some people, when they leave, they bring happiness. There are some people, when they leave, they feel like a bomb will explode.
They don't know what they will say and what will explode. There are some people, who speak so sweetly, that when we listen to them, we feel so peaceful. So when Rishi Ramchandra listens in this way, then when two people are meeting a new person, then what happens? They talk to each other and we talk to each other in a little less speech.
So when Lord Hanuman speaks, then Rishi Ramchandra says to Lakshman, that this person, who is the son of the Lord, he looks so wise, that after listening to his speech, I am so happy. So Lakshman, introduce me to him. So here, we have to do something with anyone.
So first of all, we have to tell them what we have to do. We have to get information. We have to make them do something.
Whatever it is, we have to try to make our speech sweet. Here, in Bhagavad Gita, this is called Tapasya. Why is it Tapasya? Because, all of us have Rajas, Tamas.
All of us have anger, greed. So what happens because of that? If someone gets angry, if he gets very angry, then he will raise his hand and hit someone. So, ordinary people, who are a little cultured, they will not raise their hands.
They will not raise their hands and hit anyone. If you hit someone, they will say, what kind of hooliganism is this? But people who will never hit anyone with their hands, they can easily hit with their words. When we don't pay attention then we can hit with our words in such a way that the person's heart breaks.
So, we have to keep the words balanced. By using words, violence can happen. And such violence happens when someone hits someone So, the person's bones break.
So, if the bones break, there is a lot of violence. If the heart breaks, then it is very difficult So, if the heart breaks, it is very difficult to connect the heart. So, how we speak is very important.
In our family, with other devotees, with new people, the more we can make the doubts less. So, like Hanumanji like Hanumanji when he went to Ramchandra, he attracted him So, this was the second point. We all have to bring a discipline in the use of our tongue so that our speech can be sweet.
Does anyone have any questions? Yes Ok, good question. We all speak according to our qualities. So, there are some people whose qualities are such that they can't speak even if we want to speak sweetly.
So, what can we do? Good question. In our life, we can divide into three things. The thing that I can change now, the thing that I can change with some effort, and the thing that I can't change.
So, what happens? In everyone's life, there are some things that we can't change. But sometimes, the thing that we can't change, we take it and say that I can't change anything. But it's not like that.
There are some people who will come in front of you and say, excuse me. Move aside. Now, this person has to go ahead.
But a person can speak very politely, can speak sweetly, but can also speak rudely. So, what do we have to do? What we all have to do is to change. So, we have to see what kind of change I can make.
So, there can definitely be such things. Some people speak sweetly naturally. Some people don't speak sweetly naturally.
But there is one extreme that I have to change everything. And there is another extreme that I have to change everything. And there is another extreme that I can't change anything.
So, we can see what kind of change I can make. What kind of change I can make means that even if I get angry, I won't say anything at that time. I won't say anything when I get angry.
When I get angry, I can't say anything. But I can decide that I won't say anything at that time. At least, for one or two hours, whatever has happened, I will talk about it later.
I won't get angry. So, what can we do? I gave an example. I gave an example.
I can't wait for a day. Before I say anything, I will say Hare Krishna Mahamantra I will try to calm myself down. I will talk about it later.
So, we have to start with what we can do in our situation. In Greek mythology, there is a story in Greece. There was a warrior who was in a battle.
In that battle, he brought a big bull. So, when he brought the bull, everyone was surprised. Wow! What a wrestler! He lifted the whole bull.
How could anyone lift it? So, what was his story? When the bull was a calf, he used to lift it daily. At that time, there were dumbbells. So, for his exercise, he used to lift the bull.
And he decided to lift the bull 10 times daily. So, he kept lifting it daily. Gradually, the weight of the bull increased.
If he tried to lift a big bull, he couldn't lift it. But because he used to lift the bull, he decided to lift it daily. So, the bull grew bigger and he lifted the bull.
When the bull was a calf, Similarly, we should do as much as we can. So, even if we get angry and say something bad, say 1 sentence, say 1 sentence, say 10 sentences, we should stop as soon as we can. We should start as much as we can.
So, if this is the whole problem, I can change this. I can change this now. I may never be able to change this.
And it will take some effort. So, how? We should start with this. We should start with If we start with this, we have to lift a calf.
No matter how powerful someone is, he won't be able to lift a mountain. Only God can do that. Or Lord Hanuman can do that.
But no one can do that. But sometimes we see the department which we can't change. We see that and say, I can't do anything.
So, how is that? It is like lifting a mountain. But the transformation we can do is like lifting a calf. So, we can start from here and gradually increase ourselves.
So, whatever we can do in our situation, we can start from that. And gradually we can develop from that. Thank you.
Is there any other question? I will take the last point. After that, if there are any other questions, you can see. After this, when Lord Hanuman told us who He is.
He said, I am the truth of Sugriv. When Lord Hanuman saw that Lord Ram and Lakshman were there. Lakshman introduced that He is the prince of Ayodhya.
And when He told that we are in search of Sugriv and we want to make a pact with Sugriv. As soon as Lord Hanuman heard that, he was very happy. And Lord Hanuman said, Oh, wow! This is my Lord.
Lord Ram is my supreme lord. And Sugriv is my king. Both of them are trying to find Sugriv.
This is a very big thing. With great joy, He revealed Himself. And He revealed Himself and said, I am the truth of Sugriv.
And I can take you to Sugriv. So, where is He? Lord Ram was very happy. And then, when Lord Hanuman was on the mountain, He said, we all will climb the mountain.
No need. I will take you. At that time, what happens to Lord Hanuman? Many times, Lord Hanuman is so powerful, but His body He forgets in which form.
For example, when He goes to Lanka, He goes in a small form. Because He does not doubt. He goes in a small form.
And when Sita tells Him, that Ravan has threatened that if I don't become his, he will kill me. He will eat me as a breakfast. So, only one month is left for that.
So, Lord Hanuman says, this is a very dangerous thing. Do like this. You sit on my shoulders.
I will take you from here. Sita says, you are a monkey. Your body is like a monkey.
How can you lift me? So, Lord Hanuman is very powerful. Now, if you ask a powerful person, can you lift me? What do you mean? I can lift you easily. You should ask him, please lift me.
If you say, you can lift me, it means that you are challenging his power. So, Lord Hanuman starts enlarging his body. Sita looks at him like this.
He becomes a huge lion. So, he says to Sita, this body is enough to lift you. So, Sita starts laughing.
So, Lord Hanuman says, I will lift you. He is surprised. How can you lift me? Immediately, Lord Hanuman enlarges his body.
So, when a devotee comes in front of God, when a devotee comes in front of God, only then does he come in a humble state. When we come in front of a devotee, we don't want to show off. I have so much money.
I have so many contacts. We come in a humble state. But, if it is necessary for service, if we want to show off our power, then we must show it off.
If we want to serve, if we want to serve, if we want to serve God, we can climb a mountain. Or, Lord Hanuman can jump and lift us. So, if we want to serve, then we enlarge our body.
then we enlarge our body. So, he enlarges his body and says, then he bows down and says, you sit here. And when he sits, then, Lord Hanuman is a devotee.
So, he needs the support of So, when Lord Hanuman sits on his shoulders, he gets an excuse to touch his feet. he gets an excuse to touch his feet. So, he holds his feet and goes up.
And when he goes up, then what happens? Lord Hanuman, then, Sugri is watching from above. What is happening? Because, when this conversation is over, Sugri is watching from above. Then, when they all come back up, Sugri says, Lord Hanuman is bringing them back.
So, there will be no danger. But then, Lord Hanuman introduces them. Then Lord Hanuman introduces Sugri to Ram Lakshman.
Ram Lakshman is introduced. And then, when he introduces them, then he sees that both are in a similar situation. Both are in a similar situation.
Sugri is also living in exile from his kingdom. And Ram is also living in exile from his kingdom. Sugri has also taken away his wife.
Ram has also taken away Ravan's wife. So, there is a lot of similarity. And then, there is an alliance between both.
And when there is an alliance between both, then Lord Hanuman sets a fire. And then, he formalizes Lord Ram says, I will give you your kingdom back. And you help me to find Sita.
In the same way, we all have different fears and doubts. So, Lord Hanuman is a symbol of a Guru. So, Lord Hanuman unites Sugri and Ram.
In the same way, our Gurus are not one Guru. There are many Gurus. There is a Diksha Guru, but there are different types of Diksha Gurus.
There is a famous Shloka of Bhagavad Gita. The word used in that Shloka is not very good. It is not good.
So, we all learn from different Gurus. There is a Diksha Guru, but there are different types of Gurus. We learn from all of them.
And all of them take us to Lord Hanuman on the basis of Hanumanji. Or they bring Lord Hanuman to us. There are two types.
One type is when devotees come to our house, meet us on the way, they bring Lord Hanuman to us. And when devotees ask us to come to the temple, they bring us to Lord Hanuman. They bring us to Lord Hanuman.
So, in this way, if we live in the satsang of devotees, and whatever doubts we have in our mind, whatever fears we have, whatever questions we have, whatever it is, if we clarify it, then how is the existence of God? What is the proof of that? Is the soul really there? Is the whole birth real? What is the rule of karma? We can have different types of questions in our mind. If there is God, then why do bad things happen in the world? Every question has an answer in the scriptures. So, if we ask questions, the more answers we get, the more slowly our doubts get cleared.
And when doubts get cleared, then we come to know that in reality, God and we are of the same nature. God is spiritual, we are spiritual too. What God wants and what we want, is actually the same.
God wants us to be extremely happy. We also want to be happy. So, in reality, we all have a thought that if I get this, I will be happy.
If I get that, I will be happy. So, we all have a thought that if I get this, I will be happy. But in reality, God has a plan.
We have a thought, but our thought is that God has a plan. But both have the same objective that we all have to be happy. God is the creator of all.
He is the caretaker of all. To the extent that we understand God well, by listening to the discourses of the Guru, by listening to the discourses of the Guru, by getting answers to the questions, the more we become clear, the more we have faith in God and it increases. And our faith is a very big power.
We all will have problems in life. And to solve the problems, there are different methods. If someone gets sick, then they need medicine.
If someone needs admission in school, then they need contacts, some money. We can solve different problems with different methods. But, to solve problems, the most basic thing is faith.
If there is no faith, then we cannot solve any problem. If someone gets sick, then there is no faith that the doctor can give medicine and cure the disease. Then he will take the medicine and it will never be cured.
So, it is not that we have faith only in God. We have faith in everything. Now, we all go to our homes, we get relief.
I went out, I will sit comfortably at home. But, we have faith in sitting at home. Why? We have faith that there will be no earthquake.
We have faith that our house will not fall on our heads. So, we have faith in everything. I have a friend, he is a devotee.
He went to Japan to preach. He was giving a lecture. And, during the lecture, there was an earthquake.
And, the roof fell on his head. But, they have made such houses that even if something falls, it does not weigh much. So, nothing happened.
But, he said that it was the most dramatic lecture of his life. He was giving a lecture and all of a sudden, the roof fell. So, in Bhagavad Gita, there is danger at every step.
But, here, even without taking any step, there is danger. Even while sitting, there can be danger. So, when problems and dangers come to all of us, we should have faith in everything.
Whatever is happening, is happening towards God. There are bad things in life. But, no matter how bad it is, God can bring something good out of it.
And, God will definitely bring something good. So, faith is our biggest strength. For Sugriva, if he was not in the jungle, then, perhaps, he would not have met Ram.
Perhaps, he would not have met Ram. Everything that happens may not be good, but everything that happens can be for good. Everything that happens can be for good.
So, this is the essence How, Sugriva was doubtful at first. What is the essence? Sugriva was doubtful at first. Why was he doubtful? Ram was not threatening him.
But, what we see, we do not get our feelings based on what we see. We all try to divide. And, if we do not sit in any section, then, we get confused.
And, if our past experiences are negative, then, we get scared. So, the way people treat us, perhaps, it is not our fault. But, people see us in a negative way, So, if this happens, then, we should not work only based on that.
As per our past experiences, we fight or flight. But, Sugriva was with Jambavan, Hanuman ji. And, because of greeting him, he sent Hanuman ji as a messenger.
And, Hanuman ji with his sweet words, attracted Lord Ram. So, when we meet each other, how people look, what they speak, how they speak, and what they do. Through this, we examine each other.
We decide how a person is. So, we all learn the language. But, learning to speak, is a lifelong effort.
It is a penance that how we speak with sweetness. It is a penance. And, through this, we can make our relations very good.
And then, like Hanuman ji meets Lord Ram and Sugriva, Hanuman ji is like our Guru. Our Guru's questions, doubts, negative thoughts, we solve them and they take us to God. And, when we go to God, when doubts go away, faith increases.
And, faith is the biggest power. If we have faith, we can face all problems and reach God. All bad things will happen in our lives.
It is not that we have to consider bad things as good. Bad things are bad. But, they can be better than bad things.
If we have faith in God and keep serving Him, then we can see what is good from bad. Thank you very much. Hare Krishna.
So, this is my new book. Ramayan.
