When a devotee starts practicing bhakti, he calls a war against maya. Therefore, Maya employs new weapons to bring about down fall of a devotee. “Krsna bhuliya jeev bhog vancha kari”, As soon as we forget krsna, we get caught in the clutches of maya. A Neophyte- whos devotion is delicate and the faith is not so strong fall prey to the weapons of maya. Moreover, Kaliyug is the age of deterioration, it degrades us and decrease good qualities in us. A devotee must be alert to tackle the traps of maya. Association of devotees, chanting, reading, hearing katha and visiting dham helps immensely to fight the Rajo guna. There is continuous battle of supremacy between rajo, tamo and satva guna. The more we feed satva guna, the more stronger we get.
