In this context Question from Roshan Kumar All the Vedas and Puranas Are written by Ved Vyas Then why do they contract with each other On the creation of the universe? Answer Because they describe Different creations Within different Timescales and time zones That means That Ours Is only one of the many Millions of universes That are described in the Vedic Scriptures And even in the Bhagavatam Itself it is described Prabhupada explains in his purports That the details of creation May vary from universe to universe So we may Find some differences Not just within different Scriptures but even within the Bhagavatam Itself And the important principle to understand Is that Actually it is the supreme lord who Supervises and guides The whole process of creation But it is not that He Ensures that Every time when the creation Takes place The whole process is a rockscopy Of what had happened earlier Just as Krishna’s pastimes Are Also having small But significant variations In the way they manifest in different universes Similarly The creation is also a Srishti Leela It is also a pastime of the lord And this may manifest Differently when Different Universes are being created That means when the Brahma In our universe Is born from Vishnu’s navel And then he performs austerity And then he gets enlightenment And then he starts the process of creation Going through this sequence, that sequence, that sequence But That is not necessarily the only way In all these details The universe and creation can occur So different Vedas and Puranas Don’t necessarily contradict each other They are simply describing The creation of different universes At different times And that’s how we understand That in essence they are Displaying certain Demonstrating certain principles That the creation Happens under The guidance and supervision of the Supreme Being Through the mechanism Of His assistance And this mechanism And the specific assistance involved may vary But the broad principle That God creates through his assistance By his will Is universal in all accounts of creation That’s why we need to When we look at the scriptures We need to focus on essential principles Details are significant but details are not What are all important over there The material realm is characterized By variety and variety includes Also the way in which the creations take place.
