Are there two gods – the god who made us and the god whom we made? (PK answered 1)
Answer Podcast:
.Hare Krishna Question are there two Gods the God that made us and the God that we have made answer that way if you want to analyze why two Gods we can say there are millions and billions of Gods because apart from the God who has made us there are so many different people who have concocted different ideas about God and as per their imagination there can be millions of conceptions about God but the important point is not that many people have concocted different ideas about God but that that God who has made us has also provided us knowledge about himself through the scriptures so through the Bhagavad Gita, through the Bible through the Guran he has given us knowledge about himself and he has also given us a process by which we can know him further we can know him theoretically and especially in the Vedic tradition there is a practice of yoga by which we can experience him as a higher reality so rather than rejecting all knowledge about God which is what this argument amounts to the point is that yes there is knowledge about God given in the scriptures so rather than we concocting our own ideas about God we focus on acquiring knowledge about God from scripture and following the process given in the scripture for raising our consciousness to a higher level by which we can perceive the higher reality just like we can have knowledge in physics about say fundamental particles about electrons, protons and other smaller particles then there is a process that we follow and after following that process we can perceive those particles so we do need to reject the concocted conceptions of God that have come up from people’s minds but that doesn’t mean that we have to reject the quest for God entirely rather we reject the concocted conceptions of God and guide our quest for God along the rails that have been created in scripture of the knowledge and the process for realizing that knowledge.
