By hearing about a particular rasa say Madhurya rasa in Gaudiya Vaishnavism, we will become attracted to it But if our svarupa is in a different rasa what will happen?

By hearing our attraction to a particular service or a particular rasa will develop, just as it happened with Rukmini Devi. So, in Gaudiya Vaishnavism, we hear about the Madurai rasa. So, will we get attracted to that? But if our sarupa is different, then what will happen? Firstly, we see that the past times of Lord Chaitanya demonstrate that hearing will not suppress one’s original nature.
We have two examples. Anupam and Murari Gupta. Anupam was the brother of Sulupan Sanatana Goswami.
What were their earlier names? Santosh and Amar. So, they were already devotees of Krishna and they were telling worship Krishna. The rasa of Krishna is far, far higher.
And then, he said, no, I can’t do it. And then later on, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu also appreciates that. And Chaitanya Mahaprabhu meets them later and says, Anupam is so devoted to the Lord.
Same with Murari Gupta. Murari Gupta is even ready to commit suicide. He says, Lord Chaitanya, I cannot disobey you.
But at the same time, my heart cannot move from Lord Rama’s worship. So, therefore, in contrast, we also see that Venkata Bhatta and his family, they heard about the glories of Lord Krishna and they were silly Vaishnavas. But they became attracted to Krishna.
From Vishnu worship they came to Krishna worship. So, according to our Swarupa, our attraction will develop. As we mentioned earlier, that basically, retachment from matter and attachment to God is the fundamental characteristics of even Shantars.
So, when we do our particular sadhana, we focus on developing that foundational point. We develop this. Attachment from matter and attachment to Krishna.
And beyond that, after we have developed that, then, according to our Swarupa, things will develop. Right now, we shouldn’t worry too much about it. When we are caught in the fetter of matter, we don’t have to worry about matters far beyond matter.
