Can different family members take diksha from different spiritual teachers?
What is Diksha? Can I call myself as a Dikshadhari of Lord Krishna? If so, then is it similar to Diksha like Anupul Chandra Diksha? Can two different Dikshadharis live together? Please explain. Diksha essentially is a process for Shiksha. Shiksha is instruction, transmission of knowledge.
And Diksha is formalization of the process for transmission of knowledge. That means the disciple chooses a Guru and the Guru accepts the disciple. From this person I will learn, the disciple decides.
I will take the responsibility of teaching this person. So in this way, the relationship is formalized. The purpose of the relationship is what? There are two parts to Diksha.
One is divine knowledge is given. And secondly, because of that spiritual knowledge, all the sins in a person, they start going away. So can we say that we are initiated by Krishna? Yes, Krishna is ultimately the Guru of everyone.
Krishna is the ultimate spiritual master of everyone. At the same time, Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita recommends that we should go to a living spiritual master. And learn from that spiritual master.
He says to learn that knowledge, go to a spiritual master who has seen the truth and learn the truth from him. So that is the idea of a spiritual master. Now right now we are just going to introduce Krishna Consciousness.
As you keep practicing spiritual life more and more, then you will learn more about it. And then you will learn about those who are spiritual masters, those who give Diksha. And then if you feel inspired, you can take Diksha from them.
Now can two Diksha-dharis live together? Is this referring to two different people who have taken from two Dikshas? Say living together, two brothers or husband-wife. Are you talking about one person having taken two Dikshas? This question is not clear. Two? Yeah, it's not.
If you take Diksha, it's not that… Diksha is not Sannyas. It's not that if somebody takes Diksha, the person has to renounce the world. No.
A person can take Diksha and a person can live in a family also. So now it may be that in the family, one person will take Diksha, then another person will take Diksha, then another will take Diksha. It's not that there is anything wrong in that.
Because different people have different inclusions and different faiths they have. So accordingly they may feel inspired. So then you have to arrive at a mutual agreement by which they can live harmoniously without too much conflict or without too much injury.
But it's not that because one member in the family is initiated in one way, that means everybody else has to be initiated in that way only or everybody else cannot be initiated in different ways. All of us are individuals and all of us have to serve Krishna individually. Developing our relationship in a way that we feel inspired by through Diksha from an inspiring spiritual master.
