Do women have no varna?

Hare Krishna Question Do women have no varna? I have heard that the varna ashram system is mainly for men and women have no varna at all except by default having the varna of their husbands or protectors Answer No women do have their varna in fact in the first chapter of the Bhagavad Gita itself Krishna talks about varna sankara and he says that this unwanted progeny that happens because of the mixing between the genders of mixing of castes now mixing of castes means there are two different castes we cannot if there is one thing which is white and another is colorless and you don't have mixing, there is white and there is blue and then there is mixing or there is red and blue and there is mixing, so when the mixing of varnas is happening that means men have a varna and women have a varna so now what this means is that actually women do have their varna, now is it that the women have directly automatically the varna of their parents from birth, not necessarily we see swayambhu manhu when he is a kshatriya but then he gets his daughter married to kardam muni and that's because she has a brahminical disposition and she is best suited to have a brahmana husband so it's not necessary that a woman will have the varna of her protector automatically whoever that may be and another point to understand is that not just from directly scriptural references but also from the basic philosophical points, now we understand that the same soul is going through 8.4 million species and the soul comes to the human form, the human form is human male and human female both human form is an opportunity for self realization and when there is an opportunity for self realization there is the varna ashram for that purpose to facilitate that spiritual quest, so actually the soul may be the male or female body but the soul has a particular inclination by which it can connect with god whether it is kshatriya, brahmana, vaisya shudra inclination but it does have an inclination and that's what will be the varna and we see this actually in our day to day experience also, there are women who may be, there are different women who have different skills and it's not that the women are completely skillless nor is it that they automatically have the same skills as their as the males with whom they are connected may have, so the idea that women have no varna is actually a misunderstanding of both the direct scriptural statements as well as the basic philosophy of Krishna consciousness, thank you Hare Krishna.
