Does Krishna accept service done passionately?
So if we work in temple and we are working in a passionate mode, so is that pleasing to Krishna still? Yes. You know service to Krishna is not something which is like a digital logic, one or zero. It is analog.
There are degrees in which we serve Krishna and most of us say when we preach, we also have some motive that people should appreciate me, people should think I am very clever. Now we can't wish away that motive. By purification that motive will go away.
But if I decide that only when that motive goes away, at that time I will start speaking about Krishna. But I will never be able to speak about Krishna throughout my life. So what I do is, whatever motives I have, I still start serving Krishna and gradually I try to purify my motives.
Similarly with any service that we do, actually we cannot have pure consciousness right now. See, pure consciousness is not the precondition for service. Pure consciousness is the result of service.
So I have to serve so that I will develop pure consciousness. And even if I have Rajasik, even if I have lower levels of consciousness, it doesn't matter. I just work right now and by working, I become purified.
And of course, if we are becoming too offensive, too obnoxious, then we have to be a little careful. You know, if say I have to do a service and for doing that service I just, I just knock on other, I just trample other people, I just knock other people aside, other devotees are becoming sensitive, that's not good. But we don't have, first we do service and gradually think about purifying our consciousness.
And as far as Krishna accepting service, Krishna accepts, but there are levels of acceptance. The more it is done with affectionate mood, the more Krishna accepts joyful. Krishna always accepts.
And we do get purified by any kind of service that we do. But the more selfless, the more pure the consciousness is, the more pleasing it is to Krishna. But otherwise also, any way we are connected to Krishna, it is pleasing to him.
