Does the soul of those who die prematurely come back?
So, if somebody dies young because of some disease, then does the soul come back to complete the unfinished work which they have done? Yes, the soul is on a multi-life journey. And we all have certain desires, certain aspirations, certain things which we want to do in our life. And those desires need to be worked out.
And if you have not worked out those desires, then we have to come back again. That applies not just to people who die young. It applies even to people who have lived their full lives and they die in old age.
It's not necessary that just because somebody has grown old, that means their desires have become exhausted. They will still have desires and that they may continue in a future, they will continue future life. So, the soul is basically on a multi-life journey.
And as long as we desire worldly things, material things in this world, then we have to come back to this world. And based on the kind of actions we have done during our life, based on that we get circumstances in the next life. It's like, it's going back to the earlier example of a temporary house.
Now, if I am a tenant in a temporary and a rented house, then based on the kind of earnings that I have made while I was living in that house, I can get a next house. So, our next house will be determined by two things. First is our desire and second is our budget.
So, like that the next body that we get, the soul gets the next body, that is determined by our desires, what we want to do and by our karmic budget, what kind of karma we have done. But just as a person, a wise person doesn't go from one temporary house to another temporary house. They are planning, how can I get a permanent house? How can I get a house, my own house where I can stay? So, like that the wise person desires the eternal.
So, when we connect ourselves with eternal reality, when we learn to love God, then we, when our desire for God becomes more than our desire for the things of this world, then we get transported to eternal realm, then we get an eternal house. And transmigratory journey of the soul, that the business actually gets finished, not just when people die in old age, but when people's desire for God becomes greater than their desire for the world and then they attain the eternal abode of God. So, that is the perfection of our multi-lifetime journey.
