Don’t see through others; see others through – Gita 16.4
Hare Krishna don't see through others see others through when we interact with others often our fault-finding mind wants to look at others beyond their appearance and to find some fault in them so even if a person is well-behaved even if a person is cultured even if a person is conducting oneself in a proper way still some people want to look through others ok, what is what else inside that is faulty and this fault-finding tendency is something which can alienate people even if people are good our negative attitude will make us behave inappropriately with them and eventually they will detect that and they will also become alienated from us so this constant negative attitude Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita in the 16th chapter, 4th verse says this is an indication of the demoniac qualities nambho darpo vimanascha krodha parushyamevacha ajnanam cha vijatasya partha sampadam asurin so in 16.4 he says demoniac consider this to be a great quality a gift to be able to analyze everyone and look beyond their appearance to think to see what they think is their actual reality and to catch faults in others is what the demoniac delight in however, the same Bhagavad Gita in its previous three verses 16.1 to 3 talks about the qualities of the godly people and there it says apaishunam ahimsa satyamakrodhas tyagah shantir apaishunam so apaishunam is lack of fault-finding in fact, aversion to fault-finding this is what characterizes the godly people all of us have faults and the point is not to catch others with their faults but the point is to help each other in our journey with whatever faults we have we are all souls who are parts of Krishna and we are on a multi-life journey of spiritual evolution so all of us in whatever relationships we have we are meant to complement each other help each other make up for whatever shortcomings we have so don't see through each other see each other through that means everyone of us will face difficulties and when those difficulties come when those obstacles come some of us may slip, some of us may fall so see each other through that means offer a helping hand offer assistance and whatever weaknesses others have help them manage their life in spite of those weaknesses when we develop this attitude of seeing others through then we will find that our own heart as well as our relationships will become much more enriching and fulfilling when we are looking for good in others we will also develop a godly disposition by that and by helping others in a mood of service to Krishna we will actually make our relationships sublime, spiritual and they even if they don't specifically reciprocate by helping us still Krishna will reciprocate and thus when we have difficulties either they or Krishna acting from within our hearts will see us through so don't see through each other see each other through thank you Hare Krishna.
