Even when cows are cared for, still during reproduction aren’t bulls essentially allowed to rape the cows?
Aren't the cows essentially raped by the bulls in the factory farms isn't the way of producing milk and producing livestock essentially involve rape answer you need to be clear about what we are referring to two three different things there is the process of artificial insemination which can be considered to be euphemism which is used in many factory farms so here basically the cows are tied on what is called as what has been earlier called as rape racks now they are euphemistically referred to as reproduction racks so what these do essentially is the cow is tied helplessly and then the seminal material which is required for reproduction is artificially extracted and kept is taken from the bulls at other times kept separately and then that is injected by human beings into the cow so the cow is tied up helplessly and then penetrated forcibly by human beings who have injection by the human hand with the injection so this is brutal and this model is preferred by factory farms because they don't have to care for bulls because if they are focusing initially at least on milk production then bulls don't give milk and to have bulls becomes expensive so that is rape and we could consider it equivalent to rape because it's forcible penetration while the female is helpless and that's reprehensible that's one more reason why thoughtful sensitive people shouldn't take any part in the factory farm industry now they do this because they simply want to maximize their production and that means they want cows to give milk as quickly as possible and the cows give milk only when they have been pregnant and delivered a calf which is immediately taken away and then as soon as the next biological cycle comes in the cow is impregnated so this is terrible and this is not done in farms where cows are properly taken care of now when the cows are properly taken care of what happens well when the cows are in when the cow is in the heat and there are physical symptoms which indicate the cow is in the heat and that is the time when the bull is released and normally the bull and cows are in separate areas so the bull is released and the bull unites with the cow and that's when impregnation happens so now this is actually essential for the cow also when the cow is in heat that is nature's arrangement when the cow is fertile and it is a biological need if it is not fulfilled then the cow also goes becomes very restless so now during this time is there force generally not because mammals are themselves strong although the bulls are stronger than cows but in general if human beings were not there at all first scenario is where there is artificial insemination which is brutal and violent and which is to be condemned the second is in proper farms where the cow and the bull unite during the time of the heat of the cow in some ways this is just similar to how it happens in nature that's the third scenario first is the artificial insemination second is the goshalas the proper place where cows are taken care of and third is in nature so if the animals were in nature they would negotiate in their own way and generally animals have their own mating rituals and in the animal kingdom is there something like rape generally no it is generally the females will reject the advances of the male if they are not in the heat and if they are in the heat then they will accept so the way the animals in the animal kingdom means in the wild would negotiate their mating process that's how it happens in a somewhat restrained and regulated environment in the goshalas so this is in no way equivalent to rape it is simply the serving the need of the cow in an appropriate way within an overall protected environment so if the cow being the vegans who have the argument that the cow is being raped they are usually referring to the process of artificial insemination does the bull rape a cow you don't consider it like that because the cow is in heat and is it that the cow doesn't want and the cow is resisting generally whatever I have talked with those who are those who are working in cow care the observation is that not at all when the cow is in the heat the cow needs a bull and then there is union happens so if it is the first that is being referred to definitely that is condemned and that shouldn't be done and the second is not it is just a replication within a regulated environment of what is done in nature and that can't be called in any way as rape. Thank you.
