Evil Has No Independent Power Yet It Is Incredibly Powerful. Gita 07.14
Hare Krishna Evil has no independent power yet it is incredibly powerful in the news we sometimes hear some people do horrible things unmentionable things such actions may make us wonder where such evil come from are some people innately evil or are they impelled to evil by some external satanic being Gita Wisdom explains the origin of evil first it asserts that that there is no external evil being who is independently powerful and out to destroy us and nor are we nor is any living being intrinsically or incorrigibly evil all living beings are parts of God God is all good we all are also good provided we stay connected with him unfortunately we sometimes misuse our free will to turn away from him and seek base pleasures in the world and my repeated indulgence some people my repeated indulgence in such ungodly pleasures some people goes so far down that track that they end up doing heinous things and don't even feel bad about doing those things thus because of this huge overlay of evil around them they seem intrinsically evil thankfully they aren't there is of course an outer energy external energy which allures and aids and abets them in their descent to evil and that is the illusory energy Maya however she is different from Satan because she is not she is not independent of God nor does she work in defiance of God she is God's own energy she is like an examiner engaged to test our use of free will she demonstrates to us the dreadful consequences of misusing our free will and thereby directs us to again turn towards God and if we do so then she loses her grip on us by knowing that evil can be incredibly powerful we can be cautious about not nonchalantly pandering to petty pleasures that may lead us down to greater evils and by knowing that evil is not independently powerful has no independent power we needn't lose hope thinking that we can never improve because we are pitted against a power far bigger than ours and we are all alone and lost no if we strive to improve then God himself can help us reclaim our potential for purity thank you.
