In Narasimha Leela, I will talk about what Narasimhadev himself says in this Leela. In the seventh skandha of Shrimad Bhagwatam, Narasimhadev’s Leela is described. Actually, most of the Leelas are about Prahlad’s life, his teachings, his deeds.
And when Narasimhadev appears, when Narasimhadev kills Hiranyakashipu, after that Prahlad offers prayers to Narasimhadev. These are very famous prayers. But what does Narasimhadev himself say? This is very interesting to understand.
Narasimhadev says three shlokas in the ninth chapter of the seventh skandha. And in the tenth chapter, he says about 7-8 shlokas. So, we will talk about what Prahlad calls Narasimhadev.
And we will try to understand Narasimhadev’s feelings. When a person says something, in reality, not only does he say it with his mouth, but he also expresses what is in his heart. Sometimes a person tries to hide what is in his heart.
But especially when we talk to people we love, when we talk to them, then our words express what is in our heart. So, now we will discuss one shloka of Narasimhadev in the ninth chapter. We will discuss the rest of the shlokas in the time we have.
This is the 52nd shloka of the ninth chapter of the seventh skandha. Shri Bhagwan Vacha Prahrad Bhadra Bhadram Te Tito Ham Te Surottama Varam Vrishni Varam Vrishni Siva Vapi Uttam Kama Puroshnya Ham Runam So, Prahrad Bhadra Bhadram Te Prahrad, I wish you all the best. Bhadra means you have a very sweet nature.
You are very gentle. So, I wish you all the best. Tito Ham Te Asurottama I am very happy with you.
Varam Vrishni Siva Vapi Uttam Asurottama means you are the best among the demons. And whatever you want, Vrishni Siva Vapi Uttam So, you can ask me, whatever you want. Uttam means here, it is not just a desire.
It is a thought determined by intellect. For example, what is your opinion? We say, what is your opinion? Opinion means, what is your desire? Opinion means, what have you decided by thinking? You tell me, what is your determination? Kama Puroshnya Ham Runam So, Kama Purosh is a very beautiful word. Now, there is Mayapur.
Mayapur, there are different meanings of Mayapur, which Acharya has told. One meaning is, Yogmaya Pur, Pur of Maya Devi. Pur means place.
So, Kama Pur means, who is God? He is the one who fulfils our desires. Asmya Ham Runam I fulfil people’s desires. So, in this shloka, in every line, God is telling something important.
That, O Prahlad, I am your well-wisher. He is telling in the first shloka. In the second line, in the first line, in the second line, he is telling that, O Prahlad, I am very pleased with you.
And you ask for a husband now. And not just asking for a husband, he is giving assurance that, I am the one who fulfils the desires. I am the one who fulfils the desires.
Kama Purosh Niham Runam So, now, this prayer, this word that God is saying, in what situation is he speaking, we will understand this. And then, we will understand the importance of these words. Now, in Bhagwat, in Bhagwat, there is a message, which we see many times, that, in this world, with everyone, there are bad things.
If we talk to any person, you know your relatives, you know other devotees, you know all of us, that, everybody’s history has a tragedy in it. If we ask about any person’s history, then, there is some misfortune in their life. In this world, no one’s life is always happy.
In some people’s life, misfortune is still going on. So, this is an ordinary question, which comes to any thinker, that, why are there bad things in this world? And especially, why are there bad things with good people in this world? And, if there are religious people on it, then, why does God let such things happen? Three questions. Why are there bad things in this world? Why are there bad things with good people? And third, why does God let such bad things happen with good people? So, Bhagwat, especially Bhagwat, Ramayana and Mahabharata, answer such questions in a similar way.
But, what do they actually do? They change the question. They don’t answer the question, that, why do bad things happen to good people? They change the question, and present the answer of the question, that, when bad things happen to good people, what do good people do? Why do bad things happen to good people? At the level of spiritual knowledge, our scriptures don’t answer this question. Sometimes, they do.
But, what do they actually do? What do they do through their ancestors, through the lives of people? When bad things happen to good people, then, how do good people work? So, what do good people do? This is the answer, given by the scriptures. And, there are many examples. If we see, Parikshit Maharaj, who is the chief listener of Bhagwat, what happened to his life? He had a small mistake in his life, that, he insulted a sage, and that was also a small insult, but for that, what happened? He was sentenced to death.
He was sentenced to death, in seven days. This is a very big curse, not only a big curse, but also a big injustice. To give such a big curse, So, whenever something bad happens to us, we feel, why did this happen? Why did this happen? Why did this happen? We keep thinking about it.
So, what is Shukdev Goswami doing in Bhagwat? He is telling, to Parikshit Maharaj, that, in the history of this world, injustice has happened many times. And, with many people, there has been a bigger injustice than you. And, one example of that is, Prahlad.
Now, we call him Prahlad Maharaj, but, in the entire play, Prahlad Maharaj is a child. So, Prahlad is actually a prince. He is a prince.
He is Prahlad. So, Prahlad is a five-year-old child. Now, a five-year-old child, what, what sin can he commit, so that, someone does injustice to him, someone commits atrocities to him, and someone even tries to kill him.
So, now, such was the life of Prahlad. And, after such a life, Narasimhadev appeared, and Narasimhadev was very angry. He killed Hiranyakashi, after a war.
And then, he was not at peace at all, because of someone else’s prayers. At that time, Prahlad was a small child, and Narasimhadev was very angry. But, he calmed him down with his prayers.
He not only calmed him down, but also made him happy. So, what does peace mean? It is a negative emotion, anger. Anger leads to peace.
But, happiness means, beyond peace, there is happiness. He became very happy. So, in this way, through Prahlad’s words, Narasimhadev’s emotions, have been completely transformed.
He became very happy. So, first of all, if we want to understand a person’s strength, how can we understand his strength? In one way, we can see how strong he is, his muscles, how strong his limbs are. In that way, we can understand how powerful he is.
But, more importantly, we have to understand how a powerful person appears in front of him. If there is a big wrestler, but he goes in front of a bigger wrestler, or he goes in front of a politician, or he goes in front of someone who has a gun. So, the wrestler may also get scared.
So, if we want to understand a person’s strength, how can we understand? We can understand it by understanding how he appears in front of a dangerous person. So, let us see what Prahlad was like. First of all, Narasimhadev, Hiranyakashipu, was very fearless in front of Hiranyakashipu.
He was not afraid at all. And, if this is not enough, then what did he do after that? He, now, even in front of Narasimhadev, he appeared very fearless. He introduced himself.
It is said that Narasimhadev was so angry that even Lakshmidevi was not ready And, in such a situation, when Prahlad went in front of him, what did Prahlad do completely fearlessly? He offered his prayers fearlessly. So, this is a very significant thing. So, here, there is a powerpoint.
I will use the powerpoint as a blackboard. And, I will type something in English as I am speaking. And, I will explain it in Hindi.
And, after explaining each shloka, we will take a break for 2 minutes. If you have any question, you can ask. And, we will come back.
So, now, we are seeing here, this is the power of a person. How can we understand it? Now, we are discussing on the basis of So, here, the intention of discussion is that how can we calculate the power of a person. So, first of all, how well built they are.
Because, they are very powerful. So, now, if you see here, Prahlad is 9 years old. He is 5 years younger than Prahlad.
So, he is not very powerful. Let’s see. See, how they stand up to cruel people.
Yes. So, the cruel person, how does he stand up Sometimes, there is a small person, a big cruel person, he stands up to him without any fear. We can see this from his strength, from his courage.
Along with this, there is a person who is cruel and there is a person who is angry. What does cruel mean? He acts cruelly from inside. He acts unjustly.
But, there is a person who just got angry. He is not angry. He is not cruel.
But, he is angry. So, how does Prahlad in front of Hiranyakashipu? How does he stand up in front of Narasimhadev? Devatas are not ready to stand up in front of Hiranyakashipu. And Narasimhadev is so angry that he is not ready to pray.
If you see, the prayers of Prahlad and the prayers of other Devatas, what are the prayers of other Devatas? There are one or two shlokas. The prayers of Prahlad are more than 40 shlokas. So, what does it mean? If a person is very angry, we say one sentence, two sentences.
And if his anger is not calming down, we are afraid that his anger will increase. So, I don’t want to be a victim of his anger. So, what happens? When a person is angry, Prahlad stands in front of him and says more than 40 shlokas.
And not only does he stand in front of him, he says, see, see how they calm angry people. Now, a person is very angry and stands in front of him and says that that person calms down completely. He calms down and gets happy.
He says, do you have a miraculous power? How did you do this? How did you calm someone down like this? So, Prahlad is showing his power. And how do we know that God has calmed down? In one way, we can see how a person is talking. We can see from that how angry his face is.
But God himself is telling I am happy with you. So, this is also a kind of a miraculous transformation. A person is very angry and that person has calmed down.
So, this is the power of Prahlad which is being shown in this shloka. But not only his power is here. What is with him? Now, Prahlad is a small five-year-old boy.
Narasimhadev, who is the supreme God, is sitting on the throne of Hiranyakashipu, the king of the world. He is sitting on that throne. And Prahlad is calming him down.
And what is Narasimhadev saying? He is saying, May there be auspiciousness for you. for you. for you.
So, what is God saying here? O Prahlad, in your life, till now, you have faced many problems, many challenges, many challenges. You have faced a lot of injustice. But, I give you this blessing that may there be auspiciousness for you.
O Prahlad, may there be auspiciousness in your life. Prahlad Bhadra Bhadram Te. So, today, on the day of Narasimhadev’s birth, we will go to see Narasimhadev.
So, we can also hope that someday, through our service, through our life, through our service, may we please God in such a way that may God say to us, Bhadra Bhadram Te. Like he is saying to Prahlad, Prahlad Bhadra Bhadram Te. Like God is pleased with him, may he be blessed.
May God say the same to us. So, in reality, this is not just a historical event. When God has blessed Prahlad with a blessing, but in reality, this is not just a historical incident.
This is not just a historical event, but a reflection of what should happen in our heart. This is an example, an example of what should happen in our heart. We can hope that it should happen in our heart.
God is in our heart. Sarvasya Chaham Hrudisannivishtho God is in everyone’s heart. So, may God say to us, Prahlad, Prahlad Bhadra Bhadram Te.
And then, what is the second thing he is saying? Preetoham, I am pleased with you. This is a reflection of God’s power. But what is he saying in that? Asurottama Asurottama means that you are the best among the demons.
Now, normally, we do not consider Prahlad as a demon. Prahlad is a great devotee. But he was born in an asura clan.
And in Bhagavad Gita, God says in his tenth chapter, there is a chapter called Vibhuti Yoga. Then he says, Daityanam Prahladas Jasmi I am Prahlad among the demons. Now, what is the meaning of this? Normally, demons are cruel.
They are not devotees. But Prahlad is the best among all those demons You are the best among all those demons because your character is so great. Your devotion is so divine that in reality, you are the best.
Now, this shloka is told by Acharyagan. Here, Prabhupadaji says in Bhagavad Gita that he is Asurottama. But some Acharyas say that he is not Asurottama.
If we remove the letter A from there, it becomes Surottama. Now, this Surottama is very special because in reality, Prahlad is not Asur, he is an Asur. But Prahlad’s devotion, Prahlad’s ability is greater than the deities.
That is why he is called Surottama. So, we can call him Asurottama or Surottama. So, sometimes, in Bhagavatam’s shlokas, there can be a difference between these two words.
But, in both the words, God and his devotees are being praised. And, Bhattapurna says that now, you can ask for whatever you want. I am ready to give you a wife.
You ask for a wife, I will give you a wife. So, now, not only God is saying that I am ready, but I will give you a wife. There is a saying in English, put your money where your mouth is.
Don’t talk big. Put your power, your wealth there. So, God is saying that I am happy with you, but not so happy that whatever you ask for, I will give it to you.
So, this is the first shloka which God is saying to Prahlad. What is this shloka? Shree Bhagavan Vach Prahrad Bhadra Prahrad Bhadram Pritoham Vrishabhimatam Kamapuros Mehamdranam Hey Prahlad, I am very happy with you. I am ready to fulfil your wish.
I am excited. So, what do you want? You please ask for a wife. So, does anyone have any question? Do you have any question? On the basis of this shloka? So, now, God is telling in this way Hey Prahlad, I am very happy with you.
You ask for anything. And God We go to the next shloka. What does God say now? In the next shloka Maam Apreenat Ayushyamaan Darshanam Durlabham Dhrishthamam Napunarjantham Atmanam Taptham Arhati And he says Prahlad, you don’t need to ask for your salvation, for your relief.
You leave this material world. Maam Apreenat Ayushyamaan that in reality in reality God is blessing him Hey Prahlad, you live a long life. You live a long life.
Maam Apreenat Darshanam Durlabham In this material world my darshan is very weak. And if someone gets my darshan Dhrishthamam Napunarjantham that if my my darshan Maam Apreenat even if you live a long life it is not easy to get my darshan. But in Darshanam Durlabham if you get darshan Dhrishthamam Napunarjantham Atmanam Taptham Arhati If you get darshan in this way then Napunarjantham For such a living being Atmanam Taptham Arhati His soul will not be hot.
What does it mean This is important. God is saying that you cannot get my darshan easily. But if you get darshan then your soul will never be hot.
So when and why does the soul get hot? The soul can be ignited by two things in this material world. Normally, we say that if something catches fire, it is ignited. But here we are not talking about our physical fire.
We are talking about the inner fire that scorches, that hurts, that burns. So, there are two kinds of fire. One is distress and the other is the fire of our lusts.
Why did this happen to me? Why did this happen to me? Why didn’t I get this? Why did he get this? Why didn’t it happen to me? This is one kind of fire. Sometimes we feel jealous. Once I was talking to a devotee.
He was very sad. He was jealous of another devotee. I said to him, you are such a progressive devotee.
You have so much experience. You have so much knowledge. Why are you jealous of another devotee? He said, I am not jealous.
I am just sad that he is getting good things and I am not getting good things. I told him, this is the definition of jealousy. What is the definition of jealousy? When you feel that others are getting good things and you are not.
We are all burning in this world. We are all burning in this world. How can we get rid of this burning? Because we feel that if we get sick, this sickness will go away.
The suffering of the soul will go away. The COVID-19 pandemic has devastated the world. It is still a very severe disease in India.
It has been in Mayapur for a long time. We feel that if it goes away, how good it will be. Yes, if it goes away, it will be good in a way.
But in reality, if this fire goes away, another fire will come. So we definitely want this pain to go away. But we have to understand that in reality, in this world, one pain will go away and another pain will come.
So, we know the Prasanna Shloka. Taptam also comes in Gopi Geet. Tavakathamritam Tapt Jeevanam Kavibhiriditam Kalmashapham Shravanamangalam Shreemadatatam Bhuvigunantiye Bhuridha Janaha So, what is told in Gopi Geet? A very beautiful upma has been given here.
If there is a fire, we extinguish fire by water. Now, when there is a fire, if we get water, we get a lot of relief. If the fire is on our body, the body is burning, then we definitely need water to extinguish the fire.
But even if there is heat like fire around us, even if we get water to drink, we get relief from that too. But here he is saying that what happens in devotion? What happens in devotion? Devotion extinguishes fire by nectar. Not only are we extinguishing fire with water here, but he is extinguishing fire with nectar.
What is this nectar? This is the nectar of Krishna Katha. Tavakathamritam And in reality, this is not just the nectar of Katha. Many times we listen to Katha, and sometimes we feel that there is no Katha in the nectar.
What is happening? So why is it happening? Because if our heart is not in the right consciousness, then through Katha, God is not being expressed in our heart. So what is this nectar? This is not just a word. When God is manifested through words, then that is nectar.
But a nectar of Krishna’s presence manifested through his words. When God manifests through Krishna Katha, then we get relief from fire. So God is telling us, O Prahlad, I know that you have suffered a lot in your life.
And this burning, Atmanam Taptam, this burning, that burning has now come to an end. Why has it come to an end? Because you have got my darshan. It is not so easy.
Darshanam Durlabhamme It is not easy to get my darshan. But you have got this darshan. And because you have got this darshan, because you have got this darshan, the Atmanam Taptam, the Atma that had come in your life, the Atma that had come in Prahlad’s life, in reality, his own father was trying to kill him.
Now in the Shastras, it is told that there are different types of sorrows. And we see, the fire of distress. If we see the fire of distress, then there can be different types of sorrows.
One is, the fire of extreme heat, of hot weather. It is very hot. If someone is in the desert, then he suffers.
What is this? In a way, we can say, this is Adi Daivik Dukh. But what happens with it? There can be sorrow from within. The fire of unfulfilled desire.
The desire for work. God says, Kaamaanalam. Prahlad also says, Kaamaanalam.
What is this? This is spiritual distress. But, in a way, the biggest distress is, the people around us, if they betray us. There can be different types of sorrows.
But, the distress of betrayal, that is, Adi Bhautik Dukh. And it is very difficult to bear this. We have a deep relationship with someone.
We trust someone. And then, we have trusted someone, and they go against it. It means, we tell them, a very deep thing about our life.
We tell them, that we are relieving the burden of our heart. But, the next day, we post it on Facebook. We tell the whole world about it.
I told you, don’t tell anyone. I told you, don’t tell anyone. But, they tell the whole world.
Sometimes people say, can you keep a secret? When they are asking like this, what are they saying? They are asking, can you keep a secret? They are showing, that they themselves are not able to keep a secret. That’s why they are telling. When they are saying, can you keep a secret? What does it mean? Actually, I can’t keep a secret, so I will tell it to you.
But, you keep a secret. I am not able to do this, but you do this. It is not like that.
So, in a way, in a way, just telling a secret is a betrayal. It is a betrayal. But, what is a bigger betrayal than that? That a person is going to protect us, and that person attacks us.
So, it is very difficult to tolerate that. So, in a way, the father, he naturally protects his son. And that father, what has he done? That father has tried many times to kill his son.
And Prahlad has tolerated all this. In reality, if such a torture is done on someone, then it is very difficult to tolerate that person. In today’s society, especially in western society, what happens is that nowadays families do not live together.
And there is a lot of fight in the family. Sometimes the family breaks up due to divorce etc. And the lives of small children are filled with a lot of pain.
And when such children grow up, whatever they have seen and heard in their childhood, there are fights in the house, there is an explosion in the house, they get very hurt when they see that. In reality, there is a lifelong wound on their emotional head. But nothing like this has happened to Prahlad.
His father has tried to kill him in his own house. But Prahlad was not affected by that at all. Why? Because he was blessed by God.
God is saying that now you have got my darshan, Now there will be no jealousy in your life. Because I have appeared in your life. I didn’t get what I wanted.
That’s why I’m feeling sad. But there may be many people who didn’t get what they wanted. But they don’t feel so sad.
For example, today is Narsingh Chaturthi. We fast the whole day and then we have a feast in the evening. And when there is a big feast, we may have heard that there is a special item today.
That there is Malpua in today’s feast. And we go there. And we are taking prasad in the feast.
And we see that there is no Malpua there. So we start feeling a little sad. So right now, it’s not that there is no Malpua, it’s not for anyone.
It’s not like it’s for us. It’s not for anyone. But what is making others sad? Maybe they didn’t have that desire in their mind.
So the sadness it’s not just because it’s not an external thing. It’s not because there is no Malpua. It’s because I had that desire from inside.
And that desire was intense. The more intense that desire is, the more I feel sad when I don’t get that thing. So that’s why the desire, the lust, it has been described as fire many times.
So when we have that fire burning inside us, I want this, I want that. And when we get something from outside, that fire stops for a while. But when we don’t get it, then that fire becomes very unbearable for that time.
So why is it called spiritual agony? Because Adhyatma means what comes from our body and mind, that agony is called spiritual. Because this desire is in our mind, this desire is burning in our mind, that’s why it is called spiritual. Okay? Okay, thank you so much.
Thank you. Nice question. Does anyone have any more questions? So now we come to the last shloka.
The one we are discussing today. This is the third shloka. The 54th shloka of the 9th chapter of the 7th skandha.
प्रिणन्ति अथमां धीरा सर्वभावेन साधवः श्रेयस्कामा महाभाग सर्वासाम आशिषां पतिम प्रिणन्ति अथमां धीरा He says, प्रिणन्ति, if someone tries to please me, अथ, like this, धीरा, so now we see that in every shloka, God is praisinging his devotee. In the first shloka, he said, In the last shloka, he said, किस तरह से साधव, here also he is saying साधव, so in every shloka, he is praisinging God, so here he is saying धीर, that those who are brave, like you, what do they do? सर्वभावेन साधवः, those who are sadhus, who behave well, and in every way, they try to please God.
श्रेयस्कामा महाभाग, why do they do this? They know, कामा, कामा बुरा नहीं है, इच्छा बुरी नहीं है, but what kind of wish is not bad? This is not just a historical Leela that happened a long time ago. But it is a Leela that can still happen in our hearts. And today, all of us can pray to Narasimha Chaturdashi that may God manifest in our hearts.
May the Lord manifest in our hearts. His manifestation is not just in temples, but it should happen in our hearts as well. And God says that it will definitely happen.
Just like Prahlad did bhakti, we will also do bhakti. Shreyas Kama Shreyas Kama means Farsighted Desire It is a desire that is desired with foresight. All of us have different types of desires.
Bhakti and other paths have a significant difference. In other paths, like Gyan or Yoga, it is said, What is the reason for Ashahi Dukham? Leave all your desires. It is very difficult to leave desires now.
Because desires are natural in our lives. So it is difficult to leave desires. But what can we do? We can purify our desires.
Not rejecting desire, but redirecting desire. Redirecting. Rejecting means to say no.
But what does redirecting mean? In another direction, we restrict our desires. How can I worship God? How can I serve God? Because God is the one who will give us ultimate welfare. How is God? Krishna’s greatest blessing What is God’s greatest blessing? Is Krishna himself.
God is his greatest blessing. God can give us wealth, health, family. God can give us a lot of things.
But God is the greatest of all things. If God appears in our heart, God awakens in our heart his all-attractive form, his all-attractive quality. When God awakens in our heart, we will be attracted to God.
And we will forget everything. And God’s awakening of desire is the greatest blessing for us. So, in our life, there can be different levels of welfare.
But what is the best blessing to seek? What should we ask from God? Some people ask God to fulfil their desires. Some people ask God to free them from all desires. But not desire, nor desirelessness.
But desire for nothing less than the supremely desirable Lord of our heart. What should we ask? God, fulfil this desire of mine. No, free me from these desires.
These desires are tormenting me. So we don’t ask for the fulfilment of desires. We don’t ask for liberation from desires.
What do we ask from God? God, you become my desire. There should be no desire in my heart other than you. In fact, in the 12th chapter of Bhagavad Gita, in the 9th verse, God says, when we are following the path of devotion, what do we get from it? If we are praying well, listening well, and seeing God, what do we get from it? What do we get? We don’t get blessings.
We get different things. Sometimes we feel very happy when we see God. We should get that.
We can get that too. But the most important thing that we get from the path of devotion is So, maam itchha tum dhananjaya, ki hai Arjun, aapko meri itchha mil jaye, meri itchha matlab bhagwan ke prati hamare itchha agar bad gayi, to wahi hamare jeevan ka param kalyan hai. Main ek udharan ke saath ant karunga abhi, aur sekeh sawaal hoga aam pehle sakte, ki maan lijiye koi bakti bade registan mein hai, aur unke paas koi gadi hai, par wo gadi, wo gadi ke upar registan mein hai, par kya hai, wo gadi mein abhi jo indhan hai, fuel hai, jo petrol hai, khatam ho gaya hai, with fuel, with no fuel in vehicle, to unke liye sabse mahtapurna kya hai, unko paani chahiye, rahat chahiye garbhi se, par vaastam mein paani bhi mil gaya, to paani piye gaye, par paad bhi to paani khatam ho jayega uske baad mein, aur unko dhoop se rahat mil gaye, par kap tak rahat rahi gaye, registan mein dhoop to aa jayega wapas, par agar unko uss samay, unke gadi ke liye fuel mil jayega, agar unko petrol, diesel mil jayega, to kya hoga, wo apni gadi ko registan se bahar liya hakte hai, to, to usse das the fuel for our life, humare jeevan ke liye, jo indhan hai, wo kya hai, is our desire for Krishna, to agar ye bhagwan ke prati, hume ischa mil jayega, humare bhagwan ke prati humare ischa, agar sashakta ho jayegi, to usse se humara param kalyan ho jayega, shreyas kar isi mein hai, to Prahlad ke hruday mein, bhagwan ke prati ischa thi, to na keval kisi, kisi bhay se wo prabhavit huye, jab Hiranyakashipu unka vat karne ka prayas kar rahe the, na kisi pralobhan se wo prabhavit huye, jab Hiranyakashyapu kahe the, tum to mere rajkumar ho, tum agale raja ban jaoge, tum keval meri aaradh na karo, mere saamne pranam karo, kisi se bhi prabhavit nahi huye, apni bhakti mein ekagra rahe, aur abhi uska fal unhe mil raha hai, ki bhagwan unke saamne aagey hai, aur bhagwan unko itne prasann ho gaye, ki tum jo aashirvaat chahiye tumhe mango, aur tumhe mai de dunga, to iss tarah se bhagwan apna hruday prakat kar rahe hai yaha pe.
Aur, mai aachna, mai agar koi aap ke jaisi bhakti karta hai, to wo bhi saare dukhon se mukta ho jayega. To hum, hum sab jal rahe hain lagla tarah se, yeh jalan jo hai, hum yada jalta hai to paane daalte hain, par yeh bhagwan jo hai kya hai, wo yeh na kehl paani hai, wo amrut ke roop mein hai, krishna kathaam rutam jo hai.
Par yeh amrut kab aata hai, humare jeevan mein hume anubhav hota hai, jab na kehl hum katha sunte hai, par bhakti bhaav se sunte hai, jisse ki us katha ke doara bhagwan swayam prakath hote hai, aur humara uddhaar karte hai. Aur piti, aakhar yeh shlok tha, usme charcha ke humne, humne dekha kis tarah se, yahaan pe bhagwan keh rahe hai ki na keval Prahlad tumhara kalyan hoga, par tumhare tarah se koi bhakti karega, sarva ka, prahlad ke sarva bhaave na saadhabha, apne bhaavnaon ke saath, to unka bhi main kalyan karunga, unka bhi main uddhaar karunga. To hum Prahlad Maharaj aur Naseer Mahadev ki aadhaan pradhaan ka aaj smaran ghar ke, hum Prahlad Maharaj aur Naseer Mahadev se prarthana ka sakte hai, ki yeh Prabho, kisi din wo bhi humare uddha mein prakath ho jaye, aur jo shreyas kaama, jo sarvottam ichcha hai, kya hai, ki bhagwan ke pati jo ichcha hai humare jeevan mein, humare uddha mein jaagrut kare.
Aur wo ichcha agar hogi, to wo ichcha humare jeevan, hum ek bhauti jagat ke registan mein fase hua hai, wo ichcha humein, is registan se, parpaar lekar bhagwat dhaam tak le jaa sakti hai. Bahut bahut dhanyavaad. Hare Krishna.

PAUSE fight flight or freeze I will run away from here I will get scared and my mouth will close I won’t be able to do anything So whatever you are doing, pause First of all, whatever reaction is coming in your mind First of all, stop So in your mind, some people can speak Some people can speak First of all, calm down And then pause Second is, think Think means Not only how they are speaking How they are talking, what is on their face But in reality Why is anger coming? So usually Anger has three reasons When anger comes The reason is pain Frustration And fear When a person gets angry Why does he get angry? Either he himself is sad Or he himself is scared Or He is not getting anything He is trying to get something But he is not getting So when we understand Why did he get angry Suppose There is a small cat Humans are bigger than cats But if There is a mother cat She has small kids And if a big person comes in front of her And sees her She will try to go away But if there is a wall She can’t go She will show her teeth And anger In reality, she is not angry She is scared So three reasons Fear Frustration And pain Suppose someone is hitting a hammer And someone is hitting a brick The hammer hits the thumb So He will scream And when someone comes in front of him He will scream at him Sometimes He is angry at us But he is not angry at us Maybe He is hurt And we ask him Why are you troubling me What did I do? Maybe we didn’t do anything Maybe because of something else He is in pain And because of pain He is hitting us So we have to think And it is not easy But when he is saying What is he saying Don’t just listen to the words Listen to the feelings Try to understand their feelings If we do this First Pause Pause means If you want to do something You said this to me How can you say this? If you can say this, I can also say this Pause And think Why are you angry? Try to understand And then Pray God says I will give you wisdom And then Fourth Speak softly We know that Coronavirus is infectious What does infectious mean? If I come near you If you have it, I can get it If I have it, you can get it It goes from one person to another Anger is also An infectious disease Anger is An emotion It is An infectious disease And If you are angry I also get angry Even if I don’t express I also get angry But if I Say something What happens? Your anger increases So if someone is infected What should we do? We have to stop it We don’t have to spread it So It is not easy but we can do it Whatever happens I will not raise my voice Speak gently God says He is not saying To make others laugh But speak calmly Don’t speak in a way To make others excited So this shloka To calm down Bhagavad Gita chapter 17 15th shloka He says Speak gently If we do these 4 things In many situations Anger can be Calmed Pause Think Pray Speak softly It is not like Anger can be calmed Everytime Because it depends on other person Prahlad calmed Narasimhadev’s anger But Prahlad Couldn’t calm Hiranyakashyapu’s anger Because Hiranyakashyapu Was a cruel person So it is not like Anger can be calmed But But We live in a society Of good people So People of evil nature Are less But very less So in most of the situations If we do these 4 things Anger can be Does it answer your question? Yes Prahladji Thank you so much Thank you for that wonderful question Hare Krishna Anant, tell us your question Hare Krishna Thank you My question is We have more problems With our desires Like Prahladji was completely free from all Wrong desires But in our case The desires are mainly problem So sometimes we Struggle with evil But it is seen that After a certain time, it again comes back So we try again And again it comes back So sometimes in this struggle We feel that God really wants to Help us So how to see in this situation That actually God is helping us Or how to see it Hmm Hmm This is quite In a way, it is a lifelong struggle That we When our Desires We try to be free from them But those desires keep coming back Yes So I will give two examples That when In our life A lot of desires Keep coming back A lot of desires Keep coming back So how can we see that God is helping us So Two examples One is the sea At the shore of the sea Waves will always come Sroto ganas tamaranam bhaja vasudevam Bhagavatam Bhagavatam starts Khisar yad paadhapankajapalashabhilasabhaktya Just like Waves will come at the shore of the sea In the same way In our heart Waves of desires will come So What can we do now In a way, the soul is Tatastha shakti The soul stays at the shore Here is God Here is Maya And our Constitutional position Our natural position We are at the shore But what happens The more we do bhakti Right now Our vision is towards the sea And these waves are coming But the more we do bhakti Our heart From Maya Turns towards God And the more It turns towards God The effect of those desires On us Is less Like The waves Will come But if If we Our land Is weak If we Are not standing firmly The waves will Take us But if we are Standing firmly The waves will take us We can’t expect That the waves Will stop coming The waves will come In the 5th chapter 23rd shloka The waves will keep coming But When we do bhakti We won’t be affected By the waves How will it happen There are two things The waves are coming from outside And from inside An inspiration is coming That i want to do this The waves will keep coming But the more we Focus on God God’s service, God’s remembrance God’s kirtan The effect of the waves Will be less God’s word is used In the 70th shloka नकामकामी नकामकामी The work will come The wish will come But we won’t work on the wish So this is one thing Whatever we want to do We will improve And the second example I will tell you You all know Sometimes people Arm wrestling What is arm wrestling Suppose two people Are fighting One of them drops the other Arm wrestling You all know Suppose Two people are arm wrestling So now One person is very strong And that person Is dropping the other So sometimes We feel He is so strong I am trying to stop him But how long But suppose There is a match In cricket Test match is for 5 days But T20 is for 20 overs So suppose We have a match So this is an arm wrestling It is a match It is a match But it is a match of timing So it is a match of 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 7 minutes 10 minutes So when A wish arises in our mind We feel I won’t be able to bear it But it is not like The wish will last forever The wish comes And we feel I won’t be able to bear it But it will come for some time And it will go So we have to hold This arm We don’t have to hold it forever If we hold it for 2-3 minutes It will go Next time it will come After some days After some weeks But when it comes We will be able to hold it Our self confidence will increase Our strength will increase So when a wish arises We don’t have to think That it will come forever It will come But it won’t last forever So the wishes They come in waves When a wave comes It is very powerful But it goes away So by Understanding If we If we understand How a wish works Then there is no fear And the more we Worship The power of the wish Will decrease So I will conclude with this We need to judge our spiritual advancement Not by The presence of desires But by the presence Of our intention If desires are coming It doesn’t mean I am impure If desires are coming It doesn’t mean God is not blessing me If desires are coming It doesn’t mean I am not doing bhakti When desires Are coming What do we do Do we want to fulfil the desires Do we want to endure the desires Do we want to resist the desires Do we want to keep The desires So don’t Look at your spiritual advancement Based on your desires Look at your spiritual advancement Based on your intentions If we look at the basis of desires We feel I am doing bhakti But if our intention Our What we Think is important What we are trying to do We will see That our Intention to do bhakti is increasing And this way We are on the path of progress Thank you Thank you very much Thank you Any other questions Unmute If you have any questions You can ask I have sent you a request To unmute Thank you Any other questions Piyushpabhu Piyushpabhu Happy Halloween My brother is singing Huh Uh Uh Your network is not working My brother is singing Ok, he will sing I will finish the class Piyushpabhu, any other questions This is actually the struggle of everyone.
This is the situation of everyone. Because the mind is unstable by nature. So, if the mind is unstable, then what should we do for that? Actually, we are told in Bhagavad Gita that If we want to control the mind, then what should we do? One is Abhyas.
That the mind is running. If we want to control that, then we have to practise. Abhyas means not only to keep chanting.
Yes, chanting is important. But suppose we want to shoot an arrow. Arjun was the best in shooting arrows.
He used to aim the arrow exactly at the target. Similarly, we have to practise. The mind is running here and there.
When there is an archer, it’s not like he shoots the arrow at the target for the first time. Sometimes he shoots the arrow at the target. But every time I try to aim at the target and shoot the arrow.
So I try to aim at the target to shoot the arrow. Similarly, every time we chant, we aim at the target and shoot the arrow. It’s important to understand that failure is not the opposite of success.
Failure is the pathway to success. Abhyash and yash are opposites. If I get abhyash, I don’t get yash.
We think they are opposites. But they are not. Failure is the pathway to success.
Abhyash is the pathway to yash. We go from abhyash to yash. If a person says he won’t get the arrow, what’s the use of shooting the arrow? If he thinks like this, he will never get the arrow.
When will he get the arrow when he will try. I was in England when I was preaching. Nowadays, no one fights with an arrow.
But still, they shoot a target with a gun. It’s a sport. It’s a game.
You get big medals. There’s an archer who shoots a gun. He has become a champion in England.
I was talking to him. He was in bhakti. He said he has shot more than 5 crore shots in his life.
After shooting 5 crore shots, if he shoots 20 shots, one of them is his bullseye. He shoots wherever he wants. So, even in his ordinary life, if he has to shoot a target, he has to try this much.
He has to shoot 5 crore times. He has reached that level because he has tried. Don’t think like this.
If the mind is running away, it means there’s a delay in our bhakti. When is that delay? When the mind is running and we let it run. We let it run but we run away with it.
But even if we try, if it’s running, bring it back. If it’s running, bring it back. Our success lies in this effort.
Because what is happening? We are trying to hit the target. If we understand this, failure is not the opposite of success. Failure is the pathway to success.
The mind running is not a delay in our japa. The mind will run and we will try to bring it back. This is the path of success in our japa and bhakti.
If we understand this, we can get peace. Our self-confidence can increase. The second thing is that it’s not just a practise.
Vairagya. Vairagya means that here the things that excite our mind and make it run should be kept away from them. We should try to bring vairagya towards them.
At least during japa. Let’s say we sit to do japa in the morning and someone says that I will keep a plate of maha prasad in front of you. Puri, pakoda, pulao, paneer sabji, sweets.
Look at the plate. Don’t close your eyes. Don’t look there.
Look at the plate and do japa carefully. How is it possible? If we try to look at the maha prasad and do japa, the mind will run towards it. Taking maha prasad is also a service of bhakti.
If god has given you maha prasad, then definitely take it. But not during japa. During japa, not now.
Keep it somewhere else and I will also do japa. Similarly, what is the meaning of vairagya? The things that excite our mind, should be kept away from them. If you want to do japa, then keep your phone away.
If you want to keep your phone nearby, then don’t switch on all the messages. You have to see only when it is necessary. Switch off all other messages.
It is better to do japa in the morning. At that time, there are not so many exciting things. Not only during japa, the things that excite our mind, should be kept away from them.
The mind needs energy to run. Where does that energy come from? The things that excite our mind, gives energy to the mind. If we reduce the mind will also run less.
With practise and vairagya, we can focus our mind towards God. Thank you. Hare Krishna.
Thank you. Hare Krishna. Hare Krishna.
This is the last question. I have to go after this. Thank you.
… … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … And if we are getting services from both, then it is good. But if it is happening that there is a little delay, then if you can adjust your schedule a little, and you can complete the garland that you are doing before offering prayers, then what is it? Because you will get satisfaction even by doing prayers, and the one who is offering prayers to God, he will not feel that this offering is coming in the middle of his prayers. When it is complete, I am offering now.
So if you can adjust your schedule a little, maybe first go to sleep early, wake up early, then you can do both together. But even if both are not done together, then if you keep service, then what is it? The opportunity to offer that offering, that is in the form of your prayer itself. So you can think like this, the God whose name I was taking, I am getting the opportunity to serve that God.
So don’t see them as two opposing activities. See them as two similar activities. These are not two opposite activities, they are one and the same.
For example, I was giving an example of shooting an arrow, so if focussing on God is like shooting an arrow, then chanting means shooting an arrow from one direction, and offering means shooting an arrow from the other direction. We are listening to discourses, that too we are shooting an arrow from the other direction. So sometimes how does it happen? Some people find it easy to shoot an arrow from one direction, it becomes a little difficult to shoot from the other direction.
So some people find it easy in the story, it is not easy in chanting. Most people find it easy in chanting, it is easy in chanting. But chanting, story, offering, it is not like we are shooting an arrow from different directions, we are shooting an arrow from the same direction.
So if we see them as two similar activities, then we won’t feel so opposed, and we can focus on God from all the activities. We can focus our mind on God.
