Thank you very much. Hare Krishna. Hare Krishna.
The Bhagavatam and the prayers that are given to the Gopis on Krishna’s release in the book. This is a very beautiful prayer. The Devata will pray.
Now repeat this verse. So there is three verses. This is Srimad Bhagavatam 7.3.6. Repeat the verse.
Sathya Pratham Sathya Param Tri Sathya Repeat the verse. Sathya Pratham. May God always fulfil your promise.
May God always protect your devotees. So you have now arrived, protector. Sathya Pratham Sathya Param.
You are the highest teacher. You are the transcendental teacher. This is Sathya Pratham.
You are true in all the phases of time. Whatever is true in this material world. That you are the body.
You are the root of that. And you have entered into this material world. And that’s why this material world has seen you.
This is Sathya Pratham. Among all the two things in this world. You are the supreme truth.
You are the truest truth. This is Sathya Pratham. This is Sathya Pratham.
And whatever appeals to you in life. That has the truth. Because you have invested your potency.
Sathya Pratham Sathya Param Tri Sathya Sathya Pratham. You have found the way of Sathya. You have Sathya Param.
You have found the way of Sathya. I surrender unto you. Sathya Sya Yonin Nitham Sya Sathya Sathya Sya Yonin Nitham Sya Sathya Sathya Sya Sathya Mrita Sathya Netram Sathya Sya Sathya Mrita Sathya Netram Satyatmakam tvam sharanam prapanna Satya pratham satya param tri satyam Satyasya yonin vihikam cha satye Satyasya satyam vitha satya netram Satyatmakam tvam sharanam prapanna Satyasya satyam vitha satya netram Satyatmakam tvam sharanam prapanna Satyasya satyam vitha satya netram Satyatmakam tvam See in our lives, our whole life is based on faith in God.
Now the human being is made such a way that he lives for the future. We remember the past, we live in the future, we live in the present, but we live for the future. The nature of life is such that at best it is a good life.
At worst it can be devastating, but at best life never lives up to our expectations. At best it is a good life. And that’s why we live with hope for the future.
That the future will be something better. Maybe that lies from a devious science which we have studied. Human beings have a hope that in the future, in the past or in the future I’ll get a good job.
And then I’ll get it. Indians have a hope, I’ll go to America and then I’ll become happy. So the Bible defines faith as the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Very interesting definition. The substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. The evidence of things not seen.
For example, how do we know the God exists? It’s an argument, you can use some logical meaning. That can also be countered. The Bible does not accept it.
But faith is evidence. Evidence of things not seen. Very interesting definition.
Faith actually applies to both sciences and cultures. Even naturalistic people will follow a culture based on their faith and hope about the future. They have some faith that I’ll have a good career, I’ll do a good job, I’ll have a good life.
All those things. And they hope for that. And this faith and hope comes from the promises made by others.
So how is it that young Indians hope to go to America and have faith that they’ll go to America and they’ll become happy? That is from what they have heard from others. And the promises that others have made. So… Maybe their relatives told them to go to America and they’ll be happy.
Maybe there is a structure. And there is also a spiritual enjoyment. So they believe.
There is a promise made by somebody. They believe. So… You see, in this way, the basic principles of spiritual life that faith and hope on the side of the follower and promise on the side of God.
These two components are universal everywhere. There is material life, there is faith and hope in the heart of the materialist and there is promise given by some other materialist. And therefore, the basic ingredients of life are always the same.
Whether a person is promising material life or spiritual life. But… Krishna makes a promise, he makes a promise, he keeps it. The absolute truth makes a statement and statement is an absolute truth.
The absolute truth makes a promise and promise is absolute. So that will not change. So when Krishna promises us, This book has a particular verse 2.5, 2.5… 70% of this verse comes earlier, 9.34 and Krishna repeats it again in 18.65 but in 18.65 Krishna’s heart is full flooded with love and compassion for Arjuna where he is reassuring Arjuna.
In 9.34 he says I will do these four things and when you are engaged in this prayer you come to me. But there in 18.65 Krishna says Satyam te truly has become us and Pratyajani comes elsewhere in the Gita from there Pratyajani means declare. Oh Arjuna, I declare you.
Pratyajani. What do I declare to you? You are very beautiful. For us, there is a choice.
Whether we believe in Arjuna or we believe in Krishna. And that is a choice for everyone. It is not that faith and hope and promise giving is something which we can only do.
We can only choose. But, as I said, material life, at best it is disability. That’s why the vratna that people make to learn the first is disability.
They make good and they work towards completion. Actually, material life, the biggest promise making activity is done by the academics. They are a total promise making industry.
In fact, in the western countries, surveys have been done and they have found that actually apart from their work time, people spend their time in two way activities. The time apart from their work is called the leisure time. The leisure time they spend in two way activities.
The first is watching TV. Come back from a hard day’s work and sit with your TV box and become an idiot. Now, they think that the TV will relax them from the stress and the tension of life.
And it may or may not. Most of the time, the TV, television programmes show very fabulous levels of enjoyment and comfort and luxury which triggers their material desires. On top of that, in between those series and programmes also, there are commercials.
So basically, what is a commercial? What is an advertisement? An advertisement basically tells you, your watch is wrong. Your spectacles are wrong. Your shoes are wrong.
Your dress is wrong. Your mobile is wrong. Your car is wrong.
Your hairstyle is wrong. Yeah, I mean. So, propaganda is so powerful.
America and European Union. Now, the cosmetic surgery industry. The cosmetic surgery industry is a 33 billion dollar industry.
33 billion dollars are enough to feed all the hungry people all over the world. And what is this? This is not even cosmetic industry. This is cosmetic surgery industry.
Cosmetic surgery means what? You know, this too black, make it red. You know, this too big, make it small. You know, your cheeks are too much going inside, bring them out.
Cheeks are going too much out, bring them in. Actually, the propaganda is so powerful that even people who are good looking will also want to do some sort of… Some sort of… Change. Because the propaganda is so strong.
See, advertising runs only when people feel the need for that object. Because most of the things that are advertised are not actually necessary. They are not necessities.
They are luxuries. You know, they are free. And this propaganda is so powerful that you just sit in a television, watch.
And then you get up from the chair and they go and shop. Shop, shop, shop. They go and shop.
Nowadays, supermarkets have come up everywhere in India. And supermarkets are very convenient to the naive mind. Actually, I can just go in one place and purchase everything.
But supermarkets are scientifically designed to exploit people. You know, in very subtle ways. But the simplest way of understanding this is normally, if we go to a general store or a grocery shop, we have a list with us.
And we tell, okay, this is what I want. And please give it to me. But when you supermarket, you walk through.
And you walk through it… This is Vishayan Kumar. They are bombarding all sides of the sales office. And on top of that, they also provide a trolley.
If you can’t carry it, don’t worry. This will drag you for it. Free trolley.
What happens? Everything is there for contemplation. In a normal store, things are behind. You can’t see everything.
Only what is there in the front can be seen. But here, when we walk through it, free wages and subjects. And then, they captivate the mind.
And people end up purchasing twice, thrice, ten times more than what they want to purchase. And if they don’t take enough money, that’s no problem nowadays because you have credit cards. And even if you don’t have money, you don’t even have a bank account.
Still, no problem. You can give loans also. So, in the past, if at all people would take loans, they would be for the absolute necessities of life.
Like education, or somebody is mentally sick, but he has to be saved. Nowadays, people take loans for everything. People cross luxuries.
And they only purchase these things. And actually, it’s a cycle. So, when you purchase a lot of things, these things won’t come free.
So then, they have to go and work hard. And when they work hard, they get more tired. When they get more tired, they come back and watch TV more.
And when they watch TV more, they see more advertisements. And then, they will go and shop more. So, this is a cycle.
Work, watch, shop. WWS It’s World Wide Stupidity. So, people get so terribly caught in this whole vicious cycle that they completely lose it.
And the real problem is that they think they are very happy. And they think they are progressing. They are advancing.
There was a French thinker who said, the problem with the world is that the foolish are confident and the wise are doubtful. So, So, as devotees, when we hear Krishna’s pranams, Krishna says that, she has become my devotee. You go back to Godhead.
That’s all. These materialists even have no doubts actually. They have 100% faith.
1000% faith. Complete faith, I tell you. Actually, we just get the resources for self-realisation.
So, when we see this, this Bhaktivedanta Goswami says, that an idealistic devotee is so hard, always there is an idealist in her devotion. But, it’s not a principle of working hard. Whatever it is, what is making you work hard? It is the space of faith and hope and promise.
So, we have this space. And now it is for us to develop faith in Krishna. In the truth of Krishna’s words, we need to have hope that actually we are doing good.
Which is, it’s actually our original intention. So, when Krishna comes to this world, he comes to handle it with the real spiritual will of God. So that we become attracted to Him.
Lord Krishna appeared in this world, and now he describes that there are three external purposes and two internal purposes. The first external purpose was that, in this area, the Lord removed burden from the devotees. Please relieve the burden.
The second purpose was that the Lord wanted to attract the self-satisfied sages to His lotus feet. He wanted to make the Ramavali and His devotees. And, He wanted to give His devotees the highest pastimes so that they could hear and relish.
In Indrani, in the 8th chapter of the 1st Canto, there is a poem written. She also describes several of these external purposes. You can go to 8.135. The last purpose, He says, is this.
In His life, He describes that one kata of this verse, one verse of this verse, He says, Minimum words, maximum wisdom. What is that? He says, And, what is that ignorance? Ignorance is not that we won’t know who is in the cricket match, who will win the world cup, or what will be the stock prices. Ignorance is, we think these are the ways to happen and we are not sure whether they will make us happy.
Whether they will work out or not. But, even if they work out, we will not be happy. So, ignorance is that we don’t know how to handle it.
And, the default nature of the material world is that it reacts to diseases. Because there is ignorance, there is karma. And, because of karma, there is troubles, future, which one learns as well.
Abhidhya, Karma, and Abhimanyu. And, he says, In this bhava, every day is suffering. And, what is the way out? The way out is, The Lord comes to this world and He performs on two constants which reveal to us the real way to happiness.
And, when we do shravan of that, actually, the facility to do shravan can be provided by others first. He can come to God and others can see and He can help. Shravan is something which devotees can help us do.
But, smaran is something which we have no access to. So, the Anand Mahatma lecture says that, giving association is Krishna’s greatest discipline. And, taking association is one of the greatest disciplines.
So, giving association is Krishna’s greatest discipline. So, I can give you as many questions as I want. But, He cannot make us do so.
Taking that association is not His discipline. Therefore, when we talk about association we go to the truth. Yes, every single devotee who comes, we can take their association.
But, in following it, we should influence their association. Influence their association means what? Association means to inspire spiritual pleasure to fulfil our spiritual desires. So, then they are inspired to do their best.
So, Shravan inspired Anand Mahatma to initiate the Krishna life. Some people say that may be God will come for this. To revive the process of devotional service involving hearing and hearing.
So, that is the last reason that Shravan said conclusively, concluding reason. So, that is the second reason that Shravan said. To give His devotees the opportunity to perform multiple, to hear and relish multiple pastimes which He performs.
So, He wants to perform the pastimes and then He will give them the holy relish. And through that He also attracts the impersonals. So, to relieve the burden of the earth, to attract the impersonals and to give His devotees pastimes to relish.
And then, Shravan describes that when Bhoomi Devi went to Gurudwara Vishnu and to Brahma and all of them went to Gurudwara Vishnu, at that point, that time, Bhoomi Sahadev had two internal desires of Krishna. He said, Krishna wanted to fulfil the desires of Krishna and Nanda. Krishna and Nanda are also from the spiritual world.
But there are expansions which existed in the earlier times. And they wanted Krishna as their son. So, Lord Krishna fulfilled that and He also wanted to experience Shridharas in Lakhya Bhava in this material world.
So, it was their purpose to receive Krishna. So, they wanted to fulfil the desires of Nanda Maharshi and Ramayana is what? They wanted to see Haasan Maharshi appearance and Krishna’s growth which they can’t see in this material world. And, they also wanted to reach Lakhya Bhava.
Shridharas Lakhya Bhava. Shridharas Madhuras. So, that was the purpose of Krishna’s birth.
Krishna performed one of the pastimes that He did in all His associates. Every morning, Krishna just faces Kumarich. He gave this bowl to Krishna.
He was interested in how to take care of him. Shridharas Maharshi said, Krishna, how did you become so small? Krishna said, Krishna, how did you You are so tender. How did you possibly go to the forest? How are you lucky for this? There are so many people who can do that for you.
Don’t they have a shortage of people to take care? Shridharas Maharshi would hear this and start jumping. I have been dreaming about going to the forest for so long. What is this household? There are no birds here.
There is no grass here. There is no minerals here. There are no flowers.
There are no fruits, there are no monkeys For me, a forest is still a beautiful place I’ll just go there She couldn’t refuse Krishna At the same time, she couldn’t allow Krishna Actually, you don’t have to worry about me Because Valraam will come Valraam is the older brother So, he’ll take it Or if you do say so Then, how now, Samvati Lakshmi? So, from the next day onwards Now, I decorated him We gave a lot of special stick A red stick for him And then, I allocated some of his house Some of his houses of Kalamudra in the crowd area I allocated some of their cars And Krishna very happily decided to go to the forest So, Krishna had gone to the forest And that day, Sudama and Anandam Had a lot of questions I want to play freely Why are they coming with me now? So, she said Yeah, you go back I’m okay For today, I’ll come with you But tomorrow, you can go alone No, no, no. Everyday, you say like this only Some of us stayed in the forest So, Krishna would wait And she would turn and go And again, she would turn And she would come again And again, she said You go, I’ll go alone She would turn and go And then, she saw Krishna’s father Krishna’s father was not going alone We only started going Krishna waited and waited And disappeared to the forest And as he disappeared He went again to the forest And throughout the day He was always in the shadow of Anandam Everybody and all the Vajrasis All the young devotees They would be on the terrace They could not come out of the house So, they would just watch From the top of their heads And they would wait And then they would understand Why Krishna was not there And Krishna would say You know You go out of the forest And when you go out of the forest You will see a beautiful place And at that time You will see a beautiful place A beautiful place In the form of Darshanam When you come back At that time, you will see a beautiful place Covered with a beautiful rock When you come back When Krishna comes back At that time Gopi is Krishna’s form He is like a potion of nectar Potion of concentrated nectar In Gopi’s eyes The Vajrasis’ eyes become like a cup And the cup The cup that drank in the beauty of Krishna And in the beauty of Krishna’s eyes The cup is leaking It is a box of Krishna Who is this Krishna creator? Who is creating his eyes which bleak? From the tender longing When Krishna came back And And the Gopas in the forest are dreading When the door will open And they call And they wait And now they are waiting Who is the successor of Krishna? They get so angry with Krishna They are going to burn up the store Why are you so angry? And the Vajrasis will look down And wonder Why are you staying so long? Burn up! So everybody is so angry Everybody is like Krishna conscious Anchoring to Krishna Before Krishna comes back And Gopas, you will see a huge festival Because Krishna is the God’s master Because he wants to make sure Every single one of the cows comes back So all the cows come first And because they come They remove the stones So when they see the stones They are like Krishna is coming Krishna is coming Expectations in their heart Are so bursting from their head Krishna, when is he going to come? And then as the cows come forward The dust clouds start settling And they see the cows And all the Gopas And then Balaram is there Balaram is very eager to come back home And because Balaram is the older brother Krishna is always very shy in Balaram’s presence So that’s why When Balaram goes Krishna deliberately slows down Acting as if he is tired And he slows down so that Actually he can be home While the Gopis work I am trying to get it When Krishna is in Balaram’s presence He can’t do that So he He lets Balaram go And he talks slowly And then Gopi is taking darshan of Krishna And Krishna is hiding his glasses He Also He holds The head of the Gopis And then On his side, Balaram is Krishna hides one more But Balaram and Balaram’s mother Mother says Krishna I have seen you doing many wonderful things Killing the demons But I have not seen anything as wonderful as this She says When you go away See that all the Gopis Their bodies glitch away Like a flower Which is Getting old and glitches away But the moment you come back You are like a bee That goes there She says see how happy they have become She says I have not seen anything as wonderful as this Krishna is beyond hearing anything from anyone else Krishna is lost In relishing Love So actually the Gopis When they are holding Krishna All the love of their heart They are offering to the Gopis And Krishna is receiving their love And all the Gopis are there in love They have a tower in their houses And all the Gopis are coming Krishna comes with everyone of them And he responds And then he goes home And all the Gopis are watching Everybody has come Where is Krishna? Why is he taking so much time? When Krishna comes All the Gopis are there And everybody embraces Krishna He kisses his head And Krishna is all the time waiting Krishna goes to some ancient place So the first few days Whenever they would come They would pick up their sons And send them But afterwards The sons would not like it We are not babies anymore You don’t pick up We can walk And then They would walk along with him And embrace him and walk along with him And then Krishna might arrange for them Krishna goes up Krishna is a small child As he waits there He applies oil to him And then He offers him the latest sweets Which is personally good And then As he grew up one day She would take Krishna to bed So as Krishna grew up One day Actually Krishna is grown So he should Allocate a separate room for him The children are small They have their parents out there So Krishna should Allocate a separate room Right Already he is going out that day And at that time also he will not be with them She will be tormented Krishna is so small Yesterday Yesterday he was drinking my breast milk How can he be moved on He will never smile His memory is failing him Because Krishna has grown up She is grown And In future he has to become a king So he should have his own palace He should have his own palace And you know my My heart did not allow it But still she would have refused So then Then I allocated Krishna a separate room And he was given A big extension to his palace bed And Actually when Krishna got to sleep His bed was So soft and white As if it was the moon In a flat bed Which died The moon has passed So He said this is This is like camphor spread out He says all is camphor So it is not a good image Still more spread out Still more spread out But still it is hard and the bed is soft He says I will talk to you in a couple of days Pillow So the pillow is The main servants and the maids And the main servants What they would do is They would make the most expensive silk pillows By doing that Normally we have got The softest flowers And the most Aromatic birds And this stuff The whole pillow So the pillow would be so Captivating fragrance That Krishna would lie down And the fragrance would Completely satisfy his hunger So Krishna would say Are you eating my sensibility Actually I understood that If this is the person I have to imitate It is impossible Better forget it Better try to serve him It is impossible So then Krishna would go out To the forest At that time When it would be hot in summer At that time the trees would bend down And the branches would become Like a natural canopy And this natural canopy would shade the tree And there were no branches The groupies From their homes And they say They are meditating on this Somehow The trees are shading the sun If the trees are not shading the sun and the sun is hot Then the clouds Come just over the sun And they cover the sun They cover the sun so that Krishna would feel the heat And when that happens Then Sunudaya gets annoyed I am not getting that sort of Krishna Sunudaya becomes Hot And he quickly He actually evaporates the cloud That cloud gets evaporated Another cloud is waiting to serve Krishna So I have to stay there Long in the day But Sunudaya doesn’t get impressed So the clouds Are all trying to serve Krishna Clouds are showering down And the sun becomes hot And the clouds shower down small small drops Not many seasons, summer only Actually in Vrindavan I don’t know how to describe In nature there are 6 seasons But in Vrindavan there are 10 seasons Out of 10 seasons What are the 6 seasons There is monsoon Or winter The monsoon, autumn Winter, the rainy season Rainy season means Winter snow is just melting So rainy season, then there is summer And then there is spring So these are the 6 seasons Normally there But he says in Vrindavan there are 3 additional seasons Actually There are 2 seasons Which are spaced of their own season They combine together So that they can give the best of everything to Krishna So summer combines with Spring Monsoon combines with The rainy season Autumn combines with The winter season So like that there are 9 seasons And then the 10th season is Where all the seasons are there together So in different parts of Vrindavan There are different seasons So Which ever flower, which ever fruit Krishna wants They are there Krishna The forest of Vrindavan The forest of Vrindavan Krishna He fulfils all the desires of Krishna He does it in the forest So it is summer And then the clouds are there to serve the host And although The clouds are hot Krishna goes and sits in a boat And there are views Because the boat is filled with many natural springs And streams So the views are very smooth And comforting Very cool And Krishna gets very cool And Krishna goes in the forest At that time Actually when Krishna was still in the forest It was after Krishna Krishna From that time He became His inseparable companion So he used to play in the field He used to have a small child So When he used to sleep fast in the small He couldn’t start going out to the forest So when once he was playing in the mud At that time Before he got his tooth So he was playing in the mud And He was making palaces And then one day he came Krishna Please come to our house And eat some butter Can’t you see I am very busy I don’t have spare time He is busy So just while sleeping He is busy making some Palaces And then in the morning In the night Krishna will come To their house For taking butter Krishna will say do you think I am a beggar I will not come to your house But then he would play still in their house So And then they would come To complain Even if they Their butter is so low quantity that even if they offer I will not take I will go and steal So So Krishna As he gave the proper And then he would play his flute Krishna Krishna Your lips have only tasted Your mother’s breast milk And the food that she has offered How come your lips suddenly able to play the flute so nicely You play this flute And I will apply this to your mouth And Krishna will play the flute for the rest And And Krishna will play the flute At that time Jagannath Actually he would stop flowing Why? Why would he stop flowing? If not he would start flowing Why? Because Jagannath water that was flowing The one that was flowing Ahead It didn’t want to use up the flowing Krishna So it stayed where it was The one that was behind It also wanted to come ahead So What would happen is that Jagannath would flow Flow, flow, flow and then it would overflow And The rocks So In one sense Because Jagannath would stop flowing He would use And the rocks which were there The rocks were actually made The trees The trees grow sap So the sap The trees would come there to stay And the sap was the tears That would come from their eyes So it says Krishna In the experience The trees would cry tears of pain Tears of pain And the deer would cry Tears of pain Because These rains The rains They would become completely frozen The only motion was The tears The tears The tears that existed in Krishna’s feet And the cows They would be drinking their milk The cows would be drinking their milk But their milk would still be there They would not drink their milk They would be drinking their milk Krishna’s feet Every evening The cows would come back at that time The cows would be there The cows would also want to drink their milk And drink their mother’s milk The cows They were eager To go ahead and drink their mother’s milk But on the other side Krishna was behaving So their front legs Would want to go ahead to their mothers And the back legs would want to stay with Krishna And that’s why They would all move very very very slowly Because they didn’t want to leave Krishna’s association Krishna personally would go And Actually when Krishna would touch the cows First Krishna would wet his hand When Krishna had to milk the cows The cows would wet his hand with their milk And then when he would touch The cows udders And then the cows would find Krishna’s touch of their udders More soothing Sweeter than their cows mouth was And more milk would come out When Krishna would touch And then the cows would come to them And they would just touch these cows And the cows are drinking The cows mouth And the cows stay frozen Every single day Krishna’s association And the world at a time Where all the world stops And they start Giving Krishna’s milk And all the Goatees The sound of Krishna’s flute is like the arrows of Krishna Which go through their ears Into their mouth And whatever Sober it is The cows are Feeling the entire tradition Of Krishna So Krishna would Especially when he would go into the forest And come out of the forest At that time he would play the flute And when he would be in the jungle At that time He would play different games And when it would start raining They would go near the golden roof And they would stay inside the golden roof And play all the games They would come out and play And suddenly Suddenly There was a small voice They were quiet and they went inside the cave And the cowherd would gather a little courage And he would come out And the cowherd would play very cheerfully The cowherd as if The god of rain had become angry He would drive them away And the cowherd He had found that And again The cowherd would come Again inside the cave And next time He would come out with some sticks Sticks made out of Branches and freckles And he would look at the sky And frightened And the cowherd would He would sit like that And the cowherd He would shower down rains and drench them Inside the cave The cowherd would play Various games He would be very deep inside And the cowherd would shout In different sounds And they would hear very closely And they would tell him Who are you? What do you want? What are you saying? They would make different sounds And normally If somebody has given a shelter It is not courteous To speak offensively Or loudly to them But actually the cave would feel blessed Because if the Gopas play such games Krishna would repeatedly come inside the cave And then the rains would turn Into hailstorms And hails would come in The Gopas would run out And catch some hay And bring it back And Gopas would punch him And Gopas would speak And Krishna would smile And receive their loving offerings And then when the rains would stop Then the Gopas would all come out And they would climb on top of the Gopas And then they would say I don’t want to be a part of your creation Because the rains And the Gopas Everything would be ruined And so Vishudhamayi Decorated the shelter beautifully With ornaments And jewels And as soon as they would go outside Of Vishudhamayi Krishna would not like all these Expensive jewels and ornaments So he would remove all of them And the Gopas would decorate him well With all these jewels Dhatu Praval So this is the metal Dhatu Praval Anathaparvesh Manubhaya Tamse This Dhatu Praval Would be naturally And then they would attach To his paws, neck and And they would remove the jewels And the ear rings and they would make They would shape The flowers into ear rings They would shape the flowers into Krishna Of course, flowers on his ears Krishna would make bangles out of the flowers and they would personally show it to Krishna as a gesture of this great happiness. Then Krishna, in the afternoon they would decide to take lunch.
At that time all of them would bring their packets and they would put all their packets so that, you know, among the Gopas, as I said, we have different levels of intimacy. There are Prestha Siddhis, there are Uttama Prestha Siddhis, Paramprestha Siddhis. Then there are Sakhalas.
So Krishna would put, you know, this closest Sakhala would say this to me, in one circle, and the next Sakhala would say the next Sakhala, next Sakhala, next Sakhala, and like that in a circle. There would be seven circles. And these seven circles are the, each of the Gopas would be dressed in a particular way, particular dress they would be in.
These seven circles would actually have the seven colours of the rainbow. So from violet to red. And in between there would be Krishna.
His bluish complexion and his enormous. And all of them would behold Krishna. They would offer their food to Krishna.
And amazingly Krishna, everybody would feel as if Krishna had looked like me, and bold like me, and smiling at me. And they would all release their food together. And of course, before releasing their food, they would release, steal each other’s food.
So Arunam would also go like Santosh. So one time, he got a big collection of rabbits. And hid them inside his Dhriti.
But nobody would see. He already has a pot belly, a big belly coming out. But today, on the Gopas’ notice, his belly has become bigger.
So they wondered, what happened? So then, Gopas said, Madhu Mangal, what have you brought? He did not hear him. His belly appears bigger. They were all giggling, they all knew that they will have some fun.
Suddenly, nothing, nothing. Suddenly, one of them just moved his hand in. There were all laddus in the stomach area.
They were not inside the stomach till now. Madhu Mangal thinks, they go inside, there is no problem. I want to protect them.
Madhu Mangal says, actually, these are all Brahmana’s Takshina. Because I did a yagya, and for that I got Takshina. I did not steal a Brahmana’s property.
He says, you did not steal a Brahmana’s property. Madhu Mangal says, but a Brahmana should not only receive charity, he should also do charity. Madhu Mangal says, yeah, yeah.
I will give charity, but a Brahmana gives charity when he wants to give. So, when I feel hungry, then I will eat, and I will give you the laddus also. Krishna was smiling, Krishna was smiling.
And in Madhura, Siddharth turned towards Krishna. And the Gopala was quietly approaching from behind. And from behind, he went and posed for Madhu Mangal’s eyes.
And then all the Gopalas attacked Madhu Mangal. And they all started taking their laddus. I am Brahmana Takshina, I am Brahmana Takshina.
They took all the laddus. And as every laddu was going, the size of his head was shrinking. His heart was refusing.
He was thinking, my laddu, my laddu. And then, Krishna was silent also. Krishna was not a part of all this.
Madhu Mangal became very angry. Normally, the Gopis do this. At one time, all of them had gone to steal.
So, all of them had gone to steal. The Gopis were there. They were hiding.
They were hiding. And all of the Gopalas were going to steal. They were going to steal.
And suddenly, the Gopis jumped out. They said, oh, we caught you now. And then all of them just ran to the window.
And they beat you out of the window. They were climbing up and beating you. So, all of them ran.
Now, Madhu Mangal, he is a little peculiar shape. He has a big belly. And he has a thick neck.
And he is a man. He would run so fast. He is a little lame also.
So, all the Gopas ran. And he was the last one. And they were catching and pulling.
And the Gopis were pulling him. They catch at least one person. And they were pulling his legs and pulling him from there.
Now, because he has a big belly, and the belly is the lower side of the body, their weight was more. And they pulled him down. And they pulled him down.
And they were about to take their slaps. And they were about to beat him. But one of them said, hey.
He pulled out a sacred thread. You know. I am a Brahmana.
He said, if you commit a crime to a Brahmana, if you commit a crime, I will curse you. I will curse you. I will curse you that you will get married to a 70-year-old man who has 7 wives already.
And then, they all would become very frightened. He said, if I curse you, then you have to make a phone call. He said, do it.
70-year-old man. And then all the Gopis would go. They said, we will get Ladoos for you.
And they would get Ladoos. And then he ate as many Ladoos as he could. Krishna, you ran away, but I came with Ladoos.
See how clever I am. Whenever the Gopis or anybody else would do like that, if you said, I am a Brahmana, I will curse you. The Gopis couldn’t do that because they were too close to him.
And they didn’t take him seriously as a Brahmana. Then, he could bluff others, but the Gopis didn’t treat him like a Brahmana. Krishna, right in front of your eyes, you are a… You are a Brahmin, Devta.
And a Brahmana’s property has been stolen. Do something. Just buy it.
Actually, we did not need it. We did not use anything. Because he did not live like a Brahmana, they did not treat him like a Brahmana.
He said, what? I lost my Ladoos. He said, no, no, no. Krishna, my blissing flower, I wish for all the Ladoos to appear.
I am going to be so happy. That’s why I am eating all the Ladoos. So, I would do very sweet things to him.
And then, Krishna would play his flute. And all the Gopis would sing and dance. Balramji would dance.
Balramji also has his flute, but he also exported it from India. He exported it at Buffalo Hall. So, at Buffalo Hall, actually, it makes the sound much louder than the flute also.
So, when Balramji would sing, Krishna would dance with his flute. And this way, all the Gopis would sit in the throne, taking care of the cows. Actually, taking care of the cows was just the excuse.
Because the cows, they loved Krishna so much that they would never leave Krishna alone. Even if they had to graze, actually, their hearts would be drawn. Because they wanted grass, and they wanted to be with Krishna also.
They would eat the grass, but at the same time, any time Krishna called, immediately they would come running back. So, for them, taking care of the cows was just the excuse. And, actually, slowly, they would be with Krishna also.
And they would be with him for as long as possible. And so, Krishna’s friends followed him, taking care of him. So, this is what, this is the world we live in.
Just taking care of Krishna. And then, actually, when they re-emerged, once they had found the secret path, they had to first remember this vow. By that time, Prabhupada’s luggage got caught, delayed, he got sort of lost.
He had to wait, and wait, and wait, and wait. And then, by the time he came back, by that time, the Prabhupada lecture was over, Kirtan was over, and Prabhupada’s son also was over. He was still very exasperated.
And, he thought, Prabhupada is going to leave. So, he went back to Prabhupada’s association. So, he went to Prabhupada.
And, Prabhupada sitting in his room, he went and compared the life of Prabhupada. And, Prabhupada signed it. Prabhupada could see that the world is higher.
In this world, there is so much to see. But, when I take you back to the spiritual world, then, there will be no more questioning. Like, in this world, there is nothing to question.
But, when they remember, to see that there is nothing to question, and then, they go back. And, our lives will end. Or, many lives will be lost.
impossible to focus on this. And, it’s not that the problems of life are difficult to deal with. They are possible to deal with if they feel that there is a purpose in life.
If we go on and it’s suffering, and it’s atrocities are all purposes. It’s not to you know, bombs go somewhere, and people die. And, also, some diseases.
So, most people are pure of love. We all are pure of love. We are not just suffering in it.
All of us purpose is suffering. If there is a purpose to life, we build it. We build it.
There is one psychologist. So, there is a psychiatrist. Psychology psychiatrist.
It’s a friend of mine. He wrote a book called Man’s Search for Freedom. And, he became an international predecessor.
So, actually, he was trapped in a Nazi concentration camps. And, it was a difficult There were not enough food to eat. life was very hard.
And, there was no place to go out. There was no place to sit and eat. And, in a place where 10 people could live, 100 people could also get in front of their eyes.
So, there he found actually, he writes a book. So, he writes a book that actually those people who had some purpose for their life. For example, somebody find actually, my son is there.
And, I have to be educated. And, that purpose was to teach him. Or, he is another person, scientist.
He had written one book. he had to write more books. that purpose was to teach him more books.
So, he writes actually, after that purpose gave him life at that time. He started writing this book. This particular book, when he was there.
eventually, when he was discharged, when the war ended and he was being executed. Those who had purpose, they could continue to live. And, those who had a purpose, no purpose, they just didn’t continue to live.
For example, he says, one person had a dream that on December 30th, something like that, of 1944. The war would end and they would be released. And, then on December 30th, suddenly, December 29th, it was extremely hard for him.
The external reason, he died because of some infectious disease. He died because he had lost purpose. But, he died because this work is failed.
So, on December 30th, he was And, we found that he was no longer free. He He doesn’t talk directly about Krishna. He says that among all the things that will give purpose to this life, the greatest is Vishnu.
Because if this is the purpose, Vishnu will give this realisation. In this world there can be tsunamis, there can be disasters, there can be crises, there can be death. But in this purpose, Vishnu gives this realisation.
So that purpose, our purpose is to expect something from Krishna that doesn’t come. And in our purpose also, our purpose is to serve Krishna and bless Krishna. So actually, in the Lek Madhav, the former Mahasaya asks, You know, bless Krishna and bless Krishna.
How is that? So, we have to realise that our realisation is to be poison that came, rather than poison that came from the flurry of the mikoshi, which was by the vapours coming from that poison, that’s what is making me think with boredness. Like, think of the Rev Kazindhara and his unique body. That’s evil.
Isn’t it? But that halal poison, a poison far greater than halal poison, is constantly burning in my mind. Actually, she would have died long ago. It’s an invincible wall.
It seems to be keeping her back. She is suffering, is attracted to Vishnu. But at heart, man, if Krishna comes back and realises that I am not there to serve him, then she cannot tolerate the fact that Krishna does not love her.
And therefore, she is a complete Muslim. So, there won’t be, you know, actually, Ras Neelamani. Actually, Krishna disappears from the focus and ends with Radharani.
So, the external reason is that Radharani became proud. And that’s why Krishna left Radharani also. Radharani did not become proud.
Radharani actually thought, if Krishna is with me, it’s a great joy for me. If Krishna is with me, it means he is not with other gopis. Then how does Krishna feel? Therefore, Krishna makes an excuse by which Radharani says, Krishna, Krishna, Krishna, Krishna.
So, Krishna used to carry me, carry me. Krishna would slow down. The other gopis would catch up with me.
And then, Radharani says, Krishna, please forgive me. Krishna understands Radharani’s anger. But externally, Radharani feels it’s a joy.
Because this is a forest and there is no palanquin to carry you. You please climb on my shoulders. Suddenly, Krishna became devastated.
Tears had come from her eyes. She feels that there are flames of fire which are burning her face. She has a question, Krishna.
Please don’t leave me and go away like this. Otherwise, you know, I will die and you will have to carry me. And you keep causing my death with your love.
So, it will not be Krishna’s fault. It will not be my fault because you became proud. Krishna will stone you.
No, but I did not become proud. I wanted Radharani to also feel the same. That’s why I did this.
I don’t like such behaviour. So, Krishna, please. The other gopis come and they see me in this terrible situation.
See the misery that is in love. Please don’t cause their death. And even if they don’t die, they will condemn you.
They will condemn you for having abandoned me like this in the first. And I don’t see any reason. If they engage, you will get the confidence.
And they can dismiss you. I am so selfless. I am not saying I am suffering.
They see me suffering. The other gopis will suffer. I don’t want them to suffer.
Don’t make me suffer. And if they suffer, they will criticise you. I don’t want that.
Please don’t. So, actually, in the view of selflessness, we are expecting Krishna to do something for me. The purpose of life of a devotee is not that Krishna will receive you.
The purpose of a devotee is like this. How I will receive you. We also have a purpose.
Krishna will do something for me in my life. That will make me suffer. If the purport of our life is, Okay, now you know Krishna.
Then that will make me suffer. So, I am suffering so much. Then a message came from Dwarka.
That, actually, Krishna sent a message. Another message. A regular message.
He sent a message that, Actually, I have to generate Krishna. And that all of you. The only way I can make a difference is, If I am praying, Seeing all that is happening to me.
There is a pain for me. And I am in pain still. So, when the rishis hear this, He says, in separation from Krishna, we suffer.
But in separation from us, Krishna suffers. And he came up with this. Now, let us move on.
He sent this. So much anxiety. Krishna was happy in Vrindavan.
He said, How is Krishna? Suddenly, he is seeing all the conditions. And he wants to come out. So, Krishna is asking him, Now, I am very sweet.
He also teaches the rishis. And, practically, He is serving. He is assisting the rishis.
He is a professor. That is where,
