we have started, the series of 12 Mahajans, in the last one and a half months. Swayambhu, Narada, Shambhu, Kumara, Kapila, Manu. So, Swayambhu, Brahmaji, Narada Muni, and Shambhu, Shivji.
We have discussed these three, earlier. Today, we will discuss, about Kumar, Chitush Kumar. So, these 12 people, they have been called, Mahajans.
They are, ideal people, from whose life, we can learn, how we should work. In Mahabharata, there are two, most famous, Vishnu and Yudhishtira, and Yudhishtira and Yaksha. In Vishnu and Yudhishtira, Yudhishtira is asking questions, and Vishnu is answering.
And in Yudhishtira and Yaksha, Yaksha is asking questions, and Yudhishtira is answering. So, Yaksha, and, in the society of Yudhishtira, Yaksha is asking, to Vishnu and Yudhishtira, which path, should we follow in our life. Yudhishtira and Yaksha answer, Mahajano Yena Vritasya Pantha.
So, this Mahajano Yena Vritasya Pantha, is mentioned only in Bhagavatam, and also in Mahabharata. And this, is such a famous shloka, that it is like a subhashita. That, the great personalities of the past, from their life, we can understand, how we should live our life.
Which path, should we follow. Jyotish Kumar, from his life, we learn, how a person, attains bhakti. So, in reality, Kumars are mentioned, many times in Puranas.
Not only in Puranas, but also in Chandogya Upanishad. How in Chandogya Upanishad, Jyotish Kumar is mentioned, that he is a great personality, who has attained all knowledge. And, in many Puranas, he is mentioned, for example, in Sanatkumar Samhita, in which, Sanatkumar, instructs Ambarish Maharaj.
And, Krishna and Gopis, have a very deep leela, which is described in it. So, Narad Muni goes to Shivji, to ask him, to describe the different leelas, that Bhagwan does throughout the day. So, Shivji says, you have asked such a difficult question, I don’t know the answer to it.
So, you go and ask Vrinda Devi. So, Narad Muni, goes to Vrinda Devi, and asks her. And, he gives a detailed answer.
That, what type of leelas, Bhagwan does at what time. And, after listening to all this, we know, who is Sanatkumar. Sanatkumar is, among the four Kumars, the most important.
So, Sanatkumar Samhita, is described by him. In the same way, this leela, is actually, Sanatkumar’s, Ambarish Maharaj’s leela. And, in Ambarish Maharaj, it is described, that he is a great devotee, a devotee of all religions.
So, in a way, he is their guru. So, in the same way, Sanatkumar is described, that among the four communities, there is one community, the Kumars. What is this community? What is this community? If we want to attain knowledge, then we have to connect with a scholar.
If I have a disease, then at home, if I ask an elderly person, that I have a cough, what should I do? He will say, take some hot water, or do this, you have a fever, put a bandage on your head, he will say something. So, this is the evolutionary and it is appropriate also. But, if I want a very good knowledge of medicine, like, I can become a doctor myself, or I want a detailed knowledge of medicine, then I cannot attain that knowledge by asking from here and there.
For that, I should go to a scholar. In the same way, we can get spiritual knowledge from many places. And, to some extent, it can be correct also.
So, we can watch Ramayana and Mahabharata on TV, we can read some stories of Prahlad, or there will be some stories at home, some songs, we can listen to them. We can get spiritual knowledge from all this also. But, if we want to get from a philosophical point of view, then we should connect with a scholar.
And, it is told in Padma Purana, that there are four Vidya Peeths. So, the Sampradayas are like the spiritual Vidya Peeths. So, the one started by Lord Krishna, in which all of us are present, is called Brahma Sampradaya.
Brahma, Madhva, Gaudiya Sampradaya. So, in the same way, Lakshmidevi has started a Sampradaya. It is called Shri Sampradaya.
In the same way, the third Sampradaya is started by the Kumars. The fourth is Rudra. Rudra Sampradaya.
So, it is told in Padma Purana, that the Sampradaya started by the Kumars, the Pradhan Acharya in that is Nimbark Acharya. He is not the Agamya Acharya. He is the Pradhan Acharya.
Like in Shri Sampradaya, the Pradhan Acharya is the Pradhan Acharya. But before him, there were many Acharyas. So, in the same way, Nimbark Acharya is the Pradhan Acharya.
So, the meaning of saying this is that the four Adhikruta Vidya Peeths through which we can acquire spiritual knowledge, out of them, one Vidya Peeth was established by the Chatush Kumars. That is why it is of great importance in their field, in their spiritual field, in their guidance, through which we can acquire spiritual knowledge, spiritual progress, and devotion. So, the description of the Chatush Kumars comes in the third section of the Bhagavatam.
It comes in the 12th, 15th, and 16th sections of the third section. And then, it comes in the 22nd section of the 4th section. So, we will discuss about the story in the third section.
So, in the 12th section, in this universe, the first person, apart from God, who is he? Brahmaji. Brahmaji is the lotus that came from And after that, Brahmaji did penance. After doing penance, he attained knowledge.
He started the creation. So, when he did the first creation, he is Chatush Kumar. That is why Chatush Kumar is the senior most devotee.
If we discuss about the senior devotees, then Brahmaji is everyone’s guru in this world. But after Brahmaji, the senior one is Chatro Kumar. So, Chatro Kumar has so many relatives, so many friends, four brothers.
In a way, sometimes, if two children are born together, then they are called twins. There are twins, triplets, quadruplets. So, if three children are born together, then four children are born together.
So, is there any word in Hindi for quadruplets? If four children are born together, then it is very unique. It does not happen often. But these four, Chatush Kumar, these four, they were not born from any mother’s womb.
They were born from Brahmaji’s thought. They were born from Brahmaji’s thought. But they were born almost at the same time.
So, like two twins, they are like four twins. So, their feelings are always the same. That is why, in Puranas, it is not said that Sanat Kumar said this, then Sanand said this, then Sanatan said this.
No. One person represents all of them. That is why, even though there are four different people, all four are great people.
All four are great devotees. So, their wishes are almost the same. That is why, in the twelve Mahajans, these four people are considered as one person.
These four people are considered as one person. Because they always work together. They also travel around the world.
So, they travel together. They don’t go anywhere alone. So, because they are always together, they are considered as one person.
So, these four Kumars, when they were born, that is why, because Brahmaji did penance at that time, he had darshan of God, he was contemplating. And then, these four Kumars, what did they create? They created them as human sons. That is why, they were so spiritually advanced that from birth itself, they were completely free.
They were not dependent on anything. So, in the upper lokas, when someone is born, he does not have a childhood. For example, when Indra is born, he is not a child.
As soon as he is born, he is in a youthful state. And he lives in a youthful state till Sanatan Kaal. That is why, when these four Kumars were born, as soon as they were born, they were in a youthful state.
But, they contemplated that this material world is such a place that a person gets trapped in bondage. And how does a person Because of desires. In our mind, in our body, material desires are formed in such a way that they trap us in bondage.
That is why, they decided with their own will, with their own determination, that we do not want to enter this youth. As long as a person is a child, there are no material desires. Shankaracharya says, Bala Vastha Kriya Sattam When a person is a child, what does he do? He does Kriya Sattam.
He plays all the time. But, when a person is a child, Bhogaishwara Prasaktanam, attraction towards men and women, or money, all these do not remain. Shankaracharya says, Taruna Vastha Taruni Raktam When a person becomes young, he attracts towards youth.
And when a person becomes old, Vrudha Vastha Chintam When a person becomes old, he starts worrying. How will this happen? How will that happen? I have to do this. I have to do that.
I have to get married. I have to get my son married. And then, Param Brahma Kopi Sattam Param Brahma is Lord Krishna.
There is no attraction towards him. Shankaracharya said this about 1-1,500 years ago. 12-14 years ago.
Now, Kalyug has increased so much that, in reality, it is not that childhood is an insect Sattam. Chintamagnam has also come in childhood. Why? Now, even small children have to study so much, they have to pass exams, that how will they even get up? They don’t know.
So, they are worried since childhood. They have to study, they have to do that. And it is not like that because nowadays there is an advertisement that there are small children, small boy, small girl, how will they get attracted to the girl? How will the boy get attracted to the girl? So, childhood is also an insect Sattam.
Just like that, Kalyug has come that childhood is also an insect Sattam. When a person becomes an adult, people keep watching video games, they keep playing. The sports, like cricket, they get so much attracted.
And this sports is not just the age, old age is also an insect Sattam. Even in old age, people get attracted to sports. From here, Kalyug is increasing, so all kinds of vices, which are the reason to stay away from God, they are coming in every situation.
Not just the age, this age is also a worry. Why? Nowadays people don’t know if they will get a job or not, how much worry they have. What is called stress in English.
The tension of the mind is so huge all over the world that there is no shortage of it. When I was in Pune, a 5th grade student came to me. Today there was a very good seminar in our school.
What was the seminar about? Stress management. This 5th grade student is teaching him stress management. If he is worried, how to handle it, he is teaching him.
So, in every situation, there are all kinds of vices. And Kalyug has increased so much that even if a person gets old, lust doesn’t diminish. And even if lust diminishes, it doesn’t allow it to happen.
It doesn’t allow it to happen. One of the elders of Vidcon, Jai Dwait Maharaj, he was telling me that he promotes all over the world, but he is from America. So, when it was his 50th birthday, in America, all the people who have knowledge, they keep big companies.
And it was his 50th birthday, so he got a big mail. And he said, what was the title of that mail? There is no time to enjoy like old age. That there is no time to enjoy like old age.
Why? He said, when you are young, do you have to make your career? You have to do a lot. So, when you get old, whatever you have to do, you have done it. Now, just enjoy.
And if there is any problem, if you are not able to digest, then we have digestive therapy. We will not let you digest. If your hair has gone, we will not give you fake hair.
We have hair loss therapy. If your face has redness, we will straighten it. Whatever the problem is, we have therapy for it.
So, Jai Ved Mahaj said, I wrote a letter to him, forget all this therapy, you need some illusion therapy. You need some medicine of love. In old age, a person is coming to death.
Now, at least, we should focus on God. But, this does not happen. Why not? Because this illusion keeps the person till his last breath.
See, there are different kinds of illusions in this world. So, Jatush Kumar thought, if we go to old age, the lusts that come in old age, we will go into the lusts of old age, and we can control it. But, why should we go into the lusts of old age? That is why, with his strong determination, he was a great person, he had yogic powers.
So, with his yogic powers, he kept his age in kumar avastha. Kumar avastha means, it has been told that the age of 5 years is called kumar avastha. It is said that when a person is in kumar avastha, he should do bhakti.
So, when a person is younger than 5 years, at that time, his intellect is not so much developed. So, he does not understand much. But, when a person is 5 years old, he starts understanding.
That is why, Kumar thought that we will stay in this age of 5 years forever. And, with this desire, he kept his age till that time. So, now, there are two reasons for bhavana.
One is antaranga, and the other is bahiranga. Antaranga means, we become because of our desires. And, bahiranga is because of other people’s desires.
You do this, you do that, you do this. Because of the influence of many times, the students stay in their homes, to protect their parents. But, later, when they go to senior colleges or hostels, they stay there for a long time.
So, many times, they get trapped. So, in our life, we can get trapped by internal desires, or external influences. So, the inner obstacle, he stopped it.
How did he get rid of it? He stopped his age. But, what was the external obstacle? It was his father, Brahmaji. What was Brahmaji’s desire? That, I have been served to create the universe.
So, you help me in this. You help me, how? You create the universe. You create a child, and you help me to run this universe.
So, the students thought that, in reality, this universe, is not to be run, it is to go beyond the universe. So, we don’t want to get trapped in this. So, when he said like this, in this Upaji Tattvare, that our seniors, we should never disobey their orders.
We should follow their orders. But, if our seniors, give such orders, which are against our spiritual progress, then, it is not possible for us An example of this is Prahlad Maharaj. Prahlad Maharaj, he didn’t follow Hiranyakashyapu’s orders.
If he did, then he had to give up Bhakti. He was respectful towards Hiranyakashyapu. He didn’t insult him on purpose.
But, he didn’t give up Bhakti. That’s why, this is the ideal of Chhatushkumars, that Brahmaji’s duty is important, but it is a materialistic duty, to create the universe. Devatas have two roles, one is materialistic, the other is spiritual.
The materialistic role is, that in this world’s government, they are some kind of ministers, and according to that, they have to do some work. So, that is their materialistic role, materialistic service. And their spiritual role is, that they are devotees.
So, Brahmaji, the founder of he is also the creator, but primarily, he is giving spiritual knowledge as a devotee. That’s why, the Kumars said, no. So, Brahmaji got angry.
But, he understood, that his wish is good. That’s why, that anger was not there for a long time. In spiritual life also, anger can come.
Anger is a natural emotion. If we want to do something, if it is not happening, then anger will come. But, the devotee, due to anger, does not stop his service.
Anger comes, anger goes, service continues. So, in the same way, Brahmaji accepted. So, in this way, from birth itself, these Kumars have shown us, that how to escape from getting caught in emotional bondage.
How to escape? From inside and outside, he closed both the barriers. So, these Kumars, from childhood, were self-knowledge, Brahma-gyani. At the spiritual level, they are Atma and Bhagwan.
So, when we do spiritual progress, then spiritual knowledge is realised. For example, a student, first he will go to school, then college, then senior college, then if he wants to get doctorate degree, then he will get doctorate degree. So, a person moves forward in a progressive way.
So, in spiritual knowledge, first we are attached to this world. So, gradually, we get attached to this world. And then, spiritual knowledge is achieved.
So, first of all, spiritual knowledge is achieved through knowledge of Brahma-jyoti. For example, a person is in darkness. So, when he is in darkness, he cannot see anything.
And at that time, suppose there is a national highway, there is a big road, and there is complete darkness. And suddenly, a big truck comes. And the light of the truck, the big light of the truck, when it comes in the eyes, then he cannot see anything.
Many times, on big roads, an accident happens because the light is so bright that because of that light, there is a kind of darkness. So, in the same way, a person, in this material world, comes out of the material darkness. So, when Brahma-jyoti, that is also a kind of light, and from that light, when it comes in his eyes, and when it reaches him, then darkness is ignited.
But, the light that is to be seen, is not visible. That is why, it has been said that there are two kinds of darkness One is black darkness, and the other is white darkness. Black darkness means Tamasoma Jyotirgama Darkness of this material world.
What is the darkness of this material world? Who am I? Where have I come from? I don’t know anything. I am in complete ignorance. But, the white darkness means I have understood that I am not a body.
But, I have not understood who I am. In reality. So, the Chatushakumars, which we, through our own thoughts, our own study, our own penance, we can reach the level of Brahma-gyana.
But, beyond Brahma-gyana, like when there is light, from that, first darkness comes. But, later, from light, we can see the whole world. So, in the same way, when spiritual light comes, from that, we can see the beautiful form of God, God’s Meela, God’s Dham, all this can be seen.
But, to see this, we need to serve God or God’s devotees. The Chatushakumars, they were full of knowledge. From birth, they were full of knowledge.
But, till now, neither did they see God, nor did they serve God or God’s devotees. But, Brahma-ji told them, that, in reality, in Vaikuntha, Vishnu resides. And, this Vishnu, His end, which is so infinite, His end, Surasura-gana, Sur or Asura, no one knows.
And, how does it spread, how does it spread about Him? Dhyana-vastita-tad-gatena-manasa Vashyanti-yam-yogino When Yogis, go into Dhyana-vastha, so, inside, in Dhyana-vastha, they see the Vishnu-murti. So, Brahma-ji gave this advice to them. They have not yet witnessed this.
And, Satish Kumar, he got this advice from Brahma-ji, and, he started wandering in the universe. And, while wandering in the universe, he took me to a spiritual place. So, there is a very important book, written by Rupa Goswami, its name is Laghu Bhagwatamrit.
Laghu Bhagwatamrit is a book, which is about the knowledge of Avatars. It tells about the different types of Avatars, and their powers, their history, all this is told. So, it tells that, there are six types of Avatars, out of which, the sixth type of Avatar, is called Shaktyavesh Avatar.
And, two examples of Shaktyavesh Avatars have been given, by Rupa Goswami, that is, Satish Kumar and Narayani. Both of them can go anywhere in the entire universe. So, they can not only go to this universe, they can go to other universes from this universe.
They can not only go to different universes, but, they can go to the which is filled with all the universes. So, Satish Kumar, had heard from his father, that, the God Vishnu, resides in Vaikuntha. And, he was told that, there, all the yogasadhanas are performed.
So, that is why, along with Utkantha, Vaidyas started to be performed. And, it is told, that, if you go to any traditional temple, for example, the Sri Ranganathji temple in Srirangam, there are seven doors. So, after passing through the seven doors, you can see the altar of God.
Similarly, in the spiritual world, there are seven doors to Vaikuntha. When I was going to Tushkumar, I crossed all the six doors. What I am describing here is from the 15th and 16th chapters of Tushkumar.
In the 15th chapter of Tushkumar, there is a very interesting description of the spiritual world. It is told how every living being, every living thing was present there with consciousness. Not only with consciousness, but with Krishna consciousness, with the consciousness of God.
And everyone is either listening to or chanting God’s name. The birds are not chirping there. The spiritual birds also chant God’s name.
The bees also go there. When they go, they make a sound like this. But that sound is not heard in many places.
In the spiritual world, that sound is also the chanting of God’s name. Once, Prabhupada was asked, when everyone had gone to Mayapur, there were many mosquitoes in Mayapur. The mosquitoes were biting again and again.
One devotee asked Prabhupada, Prabhupada, is there a mosquito in the spiritual world? Prabhupada replied, if there is a mosquito there, it does not bite, it chants Hare Krishna. So, the mosquitoes in the spiritual world are there to give the fruit of our past karmas. But in the spiritual world, when a person has gone there, there is neither the fruit of his past karmas, nor the fruit of his past karmas.
So, everyone is there with the feeling of Krishna. With the consciousness of God. So, in that way, while doing Ramayana darshan, when they reach the seventh door, in that seventh door, there are two doors.
Many times, you see that there are two people at the door of the temple. They are Jai and Vijay. These were the doors of the seventh door.
And Jai and Vijay had seen that, many guests had come to meet God, but they had never seen such a guest. What was strange about them? They were children, five-year-old children. And not only were they five-year-old children, but they had only four-way clothes.
And they did not even wear any clothes. So, they said, who has come here? So, they thought, we cannot let them in, we do not have permission. So, they closed the door.
And Sudhish Kumar, as he was seeing everything, his remembrance of God was increasing. And the urge to see God was increasing. And as the urge to see God was increasing, and they were stopped one by one, he got angry.
So, suppose we are listening to the discourse, and a fragrance of rose is coming from behind. And suppose the fragrance of rose is coming here, and it is coming closer and closer. And as soon as the person is about to take it, you cannot take it.
So, what will happen? This is a physical example, but we can get an idea from this, how anger will come. So, they wanted to see God. They thought, this is the seventh door, we will be able to see God.
And suddenly, when they were stopped, they got angry. And they got angry, and they said, that you are from Vaikuntha, don’t you have any sense? This Vaikuntha is such a high place, that no terrorists can come here. No invaders can come here.
First of all, you don’t have any sense, that no invaders can come here. And secondly, you don’t have any sense, that we are not invaders. We are five year old children, and we have come here to see God.
So, because your heart is polluted, that’s why you see everyone as polluted. Just like we are polluted, we see the whole world as polluted. So, if a person is greedy, then he sees everyone as greedy.
If his birthday is celebrated, and if he is given a gift, then the gift is worth 40 rupees. What will he do with 40 rupees? So, what happens? If a person is hardworking, then he becomes greedy. So, he thought, that because of your polluted intellect, you see everyone as polluted.
Just like intellect, just like pollution. And if someone has this kind of intellect, then that person has no right to live in the spiritual world. That’s why we curse you.
You fall down from the spiritual world. You don’t have the right to live in the spiritual world. And as soon as Jyotish Kumar heard this, he got scared.
What did he get scared of? If I get scared, then I will get scared. If I get scared, then I will get scared. But, there is a verse in Bhagwatam, Roshanacharya Krithapura tells us, that his first fear was, that God will get angry with him.
That, we think he is a child, but in reality he is a Brahmin. And God loves Brahmins a lot. And we have angered the Brahmins.
Because of this, God will get angry with us. And because of this, he will be sad. So, if a devotee, if a devotee has any problem, or if he makes a mistake, then his first fear is, that he will be defamed.
The fear is, that God will be sad. God’s devotees will be sad. This is the first fear.
But later I thought, the second fear is, that if the curse, the curse of the Brahmins, can only be removed. So, if we have to leave it here, then we will not get the vision of God. We will not get the service of God.
And that sadness, will also be felt today. And in both ways, they became very angry. And because they were not angry, they fell at the feet of the Brahmins.
They said, please forgive us. And if we have committed a crime against you, and you have cursed us, then even if we have to fall down from this spiritual place, but please, we should not forget God. We should always remember God.
In this way, they started requesting. And when they requested in this way, when they saw, Jatush Kumar, he also became very angry. He understood, that this Jai Vijay, is not an ordinary death.
It will be an ordinary death. If someone will curse him, then he will become angry. He thought, no, no, please forgive me.
What is he saying? Please forgive me. Let us not forget God. Let us not forget God.
This consciousness, is the consciousness of great devotees. As Guru Shekhar Maharaj says, that Lord, even if I have to go to hell, it is not a problem. He says, It is a beautiful shloka, a long shloka.
He says, Lord, even if I have to go to hell, it is not a problem. We have only one wish, that we go to hell. I am not doing your bhakti, so that I can escape from hell.
I have only one wish, that you bless me in my heart. So this feeling, is the feeling of pure bhakti. Seeing this feeling, he sent Jatush Kumar, to the ashram.
He felt, that if he is a great devotee, then perhaps we have committed a crime against him. This great devotee, we have given him a curse, that you go away from God, go to hell. So what have we done? And, in this way, both the devotees, both of them, became enlightened.
And in some time, when both the devotees, became enlightened, then they met God. And God came there alone. There was Laxmi Devi with them.
All of them were saints. It is said in the spiritual world, that all of them are gods and goddesses. But only in the spiritual world, they worship God.
There, they don’t have any government management. Only the worship of God is there. So all of them were deities and goddesses.
And with them, Lord Vishnu came there. And in Chapter 15, Chapter 34 of Bhagavatam, there is a detailed description of the beauty of God. The form of Lord Vishnu, was described by Jatush Kumar, when his father told him, when Brahmaji told him.
And then, according to that description, he tried to meditate. So, he hasn’t been able to realise it yet, but he meditated. So, Jatush Kumar was a Brahmavadi, not a Mayavadi.
Mayavadis say that the form of God is Maya, and to go beyond that, one has to become a Brahmin. But, the Brahmavadis, they are attracted towards Brahma. And the form of God, they are not so attracted towards that.
Why are they not attracted? Because, bhakti sanjayate bhakti. Bhakti is born from bhakti. If we get the company of some other devotee, then we get bhakti from the company of those devotees.
The Brahmavadis, they don’t get the company of the devotees. That’s why, they don’t get bhakti. So, they might know that there is a nirguna Brahma, and there is a saguna Brahma.
God is not only formless, but he also has a form. But, they are not attracted to this form. But, when we get the grace of God’s devotees, or the grace of God, then the Brahmavadis, they become devotees.
They become devotees. This is a very famous shloka. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu used to sing this shloka many times.
There is a description of this shloka in the Bhagavad Gita. What is the meaning of this shloka? The God has Arvindanayana. His lotus feet have tulsi.
His lotus feet had tulsi. The air coming from the tulsi, the air flowing from it, that air is his name. His name is Arvindanayana.
What happened to him? Only the fragrance of the tulsi attracted him so much that his attraction to Brahmajyoti came to an end. And he became a devotee of God. He became totally attracted to God.
And, in this way, when he saw God, the beautiful form of God, he could not see it with his eyes, but he could drink it. He drank it with his eyes. And then Lord Vishnu started speaking.
This shloka is mentioned in Chapter 16. And Lord Vishnu’s speech is very deep. It has an external meaning and an internal meaning.
The description of this shloka is narrated by Prabhupada ji and Hrishanachikha Thakur in their Tattvare. Lord Vishnu says that all of you Brahmins are so dear to me that in reality, they are more dear to me than my life. And he says that if my hand if my hand ever commits any crime, then I will cut off my hand.
God is saying that I will cut off my own hand if my hand commits any crime against Brahmins. And the world says that I purify everyone and I am the lord of Lakshmi. But in reality, this is not true.
In reality, because I take the dhuli of the feet of Brahmins on my head, because of that, I am pure. And because dhuli is on my head, that is why Lakshmi Devi lives with me. And he says that if someone in the form of a Yajna offers me Ahuti, I am not as happy with that as if a person offers food to Brahmins out of respect and out of respect.
And even if a Brahmin gets angry and curses, even then, if that person stays calm and calms the Brahmins with respect, then I am very happy with that. The crime that my Dwarpal, Jai Vijay, has committed against me, he has not committed that crime, but I have. Because he is my servant and the servant’s fault is the Swami’s fault.
So that is why this is my fault. And that is why I am not directly asking you to forgive me, but I have the same feeling. And when you hear this silence, then there are three types of effects on Jatashkumars.
The first effect is that the words of God are so sweet. As Gopi says in Dasamskand, Gopi’s song, that God is so sweet. Your words and speech are two different things.
Speech means the way we speak. And speech means what we speak. So we speak with speech.
So God’s speech is also sweet and the speech that we speak with that sweet speech, that is also very beautiful. So first of all, the Jatashkumar who listens to God’s speech, he is attracted to it. He is so sweet.
So that is the first attraction. After that, Oh, very attractive. So the words of God are very attractive.
They are attractive. So why are they attractive? Jatashkumar is thinking that suppose we go to meet a big person and when we go to meet that person, we start scolding that person’s doorkeeper. So if that doorkeeper is an ordinary servant then it is not a big deal.
But if that doorkeeper loves that master and the master loves the doorkeeper, then we will think that has the master become selfish? So in the same way, when the prince sees the devotion of Jai Vijay, then he becomes silent. He starts thinking that has God become angry with us or what will be the effect? That we have given a curse to such a great devotee of God. So what will happen with this? So when God is speaking like this, then he thinks that is God speaking respectfully or is God making fun of us? Because it is never possible that if Lakshmi Devi is attracted to God, then God’s all attraction is attracted to her.
It is not that Lakshmi Devi is attracted to God because she is the bride of Brahmins. And in the same way, God is holy in everything. He is holy He is holy in everything.
So he starts thinking that is God making fun of us or telling the truth? The truth can never happen, but God His face, His voice is so pleasant that it is so peaceful and pleasant that it feels like He is angry and speaking in a sarcastic way. So he starts thinking what God wants to say. Is it pleasant or angry? What is it? So in this way, he is completely immersed in God’s words.
Because of God’s words. Now he starts thinking that whatever it is, now we please God with our prayers. So if He is angry, then He will calm down.
And if He is not angry, then when we sing His praises, then He will be displeased. And then He says O Lord, I came to see You and I am so eager to see You that I forgot everything in it. And when I realised that I came to see You, I became angry and I have cursed Your servants.
So what Krishna Chakravorty tells in this, that the Brahmins are of different types. Some are Brahmins by name. Some are Brahmins by birth and some are Brahmins by virtue.
And some are such Brahmins who have a little devotion. And some are such Brahmins who are pure devotees. So the pure devotees, the Brahmins, the example given by them in Bhaktatram Sindhu is Narada.
Brahmins by birth are Brahmins. And the one who is mixed with devotion and knowledge, the example given by him is Vashishtha. Vashishtha in Ramayana.
The sage named Vashishtha is mentioned in his Bhagavata. So he is a kind of a pure devotee. And many people are self-reliant Brahmins.
They are Brahmins by name but have no devotion. So in reality, the virtue that God has given is not that of a self-reliant Brahmin. It is that of a pure devotee who is a Brahmin.
So now, this Charakumar is a Brahmin but he was not a devotee till now. Just now, he became a devotee. What does it mean? He saw God and he became attracted to God.
From that, he became a devotee. So, in Bhaktatram Sindhu, the Jiva Goswami tells and it is written by the Jiva Goswami named Durgam Sangamini Tika in which the Jiva Goswami tells that the direct vision of God and God’s servant are combined. Due to their influence, the Jatushkumars were in Brahma Gyan.
So, above Brahma Gyan, you know that there are five rasas in God’s bhakti. Shanta Rasa means like trees, trees etc. They always think of God.
And they serve with the vision of peace. Dasya Rasa is based on Lord Hanuman. They serve in different ways with the vision of God.
Similarly, Sakya Rasa is the vision of Arjuna. Vasya Rasa is higher than that. They serve in the form of God’s mother.
And the highest one is Madhurya Rasa. Radharani serves God. So, these five rasas Shanta Rasa, Dasya Rasa, Sakya Rasa Vasya Rasa and Madhurya Rasa.
And below them is Brahma Gyan. So, after progressing from Brahma Gyan, when the Jatushkumars got the combination of Jai Vijay. Jai Vijay is the servant of God.
He is the servant of Dasya Rasa. He is the servant of God. So, because of their service, the bhaktas in Dasya Rasa, if they get the combination, if they get their blessings, if they get their support, then the person can go to Dasya Rasa.
If we want to attain Madhurya Rasa, the bhaktas in Madhurya Rasa, we should serve them. We should get their blessings. So, when the Jatushkumars got the combination of Jai Vijay, they could reach Dasya Rasa.
But, because the Jatushkumars committed the crime of Jai Vijay. That’s why the progress of the Jatushkumars was less. But, because of the combination of the bhaktas, if we serve the bhaktas with the bhaktas, then we can progress a lot.
And we can reach the status of the bhaktas. But, while serving the bhaktas, if we commit a small crime, then the progress of the Jatushkumars is less than the progress of the bhaktas. And, while serving the bhaktas, if we commit a big crime, then the progress of the Jatushkumars is less than the progress of the bhaktas.
So, here, the Jatushkumars who committed the crime of Jai Vijay, in a way, cursing the bhaktas is a big crime. But, because they were ignorant, they didn’t know that Jai Vijay is a great bhakta. And, because that crime was not due to physical anger.
It was a response to the darshan of Bhagwan. When will we get the darshan of Bhagwan? They were enraged by that emotion. And, because of that, they became angry.
That’s why, it wasn’t a big crime. It wasn’t a minor crime or a major crime. It was a medium crime.
And, what happened because of the medium crime? They couldn’t progress as much as the bhaktas could. And, they reached Shantarastra through Brahma Gyan. The Jatushkumars are the idols of Shantarastra.
What does Shantarastra mean? They take pleasure in contemplating the divinity of Bhagwan, the personality of Bhagwan. They take pleasure in contemplating. But, they don’t have the fortune to serve Bhagwan in a practical way.
And then, when the Jatushkumars asked for forgiveness from Bhagwan, they said, When my father told me about you, when I met him, first, I got the darshan of you in my heart. I met my father and got the darshan of you. But, today, you have given us the darshan in a practical way.
That’s why, we are very happy. And, if we have committed any crime against your father, then, please forgive us. And then, they gave the darshan of Bhagwan.
And, they went from Vaikuntha to get the darshan of Bhagwan. And, when they were going back, those who had won, they were very sad. They said, We have to leave the company of Bhagwan.
So, Bhagwan said, Actually, you have always served me in a practical way. That’s why, you should never be disliked. But, at the same time, because, the Brahmin has cursed you, and I want to respect the words of the Brahmin.
That’s why, this curse cannot be nullified. That’s why, I am giving you a solution. What is the solution? He says, You, in the form of Jai and Vijay, become my disciple.
And, you will always be with me in the form of Jai and Vijay. And, your expansion will leave me and come to me in the form of Jai and Vijay. And, to confirm this, Krishna Acharya Kapoor says, In the 8th Skanda, when the Leela of Bali Maharaj comes, when Bali Maharaj comes there, in the form of Bhagwan Vishnu Vamandev, then, to attack Vamandev, Bali Maharaj and the demons come.
And, to defeat those demons, Jai and Vijay come there. And, Jai and Vijay stop them immediately. So, Chakravarty Pa asks, The 3 curses have not been nullified yet.
So, how are Jai and Vijay in Adhyasmi Jagat? So, he says, Actually, Adhyasmi Jagat is not liked by anyone. Especially, if someone has not envied Bhagwan, has not hated Bhagwan, has not desired to enjoy independence from Bhagwan, then, the person cannot be defeated. So, the curse of Satish Kumar has also been applied.
So, Jai and Vijay, the servants of Bhagwan, cannot be defeated. That is why, we see that whenever Acharya has built a temple, then, he thinks that Jai and Vijay have been defeated. Jai and Vijay are not even doorkeepers of Bhagwan.
He always keeps the idol of Jai and Vijay next to the temple. Why? Because, they have been doorkeepers since the Sanatan era. And, no matter how powerful Satish Kumar is, but, the one who is Brahm Gyani, his curse cannot affect the devotee.
But, what is the intention to show here? That, the Brahmin worships him, and gets cursed by him. So, that curse may not affect Jai and Vijay, but, it affects them. One of their expansion had to come from this Bhojpur.
So, that is why, in Chakravarthi Paal, it is shown that, how careful we should be to commit a crime against someone. So, there are two types of crimes. Jai and Vijay committed the crime of Satish Kumar and Satish Kumar committed the crime of Jai and Vijay.
So, the basic principle is that, the devotees should not quarrel with each other for any reason. Because, when there are two devotees, both are dear to God. So, we may feel that, whatever I say is true.
Whatever someone says is wrong, that is true. Whatever I say is true. This should be done properly.
So, in many places, there can be many times of discord. And, the discord should be resolved in a respectful manner. If, there is a quarrel between two devotees, then, both are committing a crime against each other.
We should not think that, you are committing a crime against my husband. I am such a great devotee. So, we should not think like this.
But, we should always think that, there are so many devotees, there are so many people in the world. How many of them are doing bhakti? How many of them are doing bhakti? Among so many people, only a few are devotees. So, every devotee is so dear to God.
If I say anything bad about any devotee, then, it is a crime. So, we should not commit a crime. So, Chitush Kumarji, we do not think that, he is not a great devotee, because he is in Dasya Ras.
Dasya Ras is also a part of the spiritual world. And, he is a pure devotee of God. And, he has seen God in person.
And, by his grace, all the great devotees in the Kulkumar Sampradaya, they too, by the grace of Shuddhikaran, are attaining Bhagavad Gita. Chitush Kumarji, in this way, he shows us from his life, how to be safe from materialism, how to always be eager to see God. And, even in the name of our service, if we commit a crime against someone, then, being careful, we have to apologise and bow down to God.
Chitush Kumarji, this can be seen in this way, that he was not a great devotee. Does anyone have any question? Yes, sir. There is a question, that there are four Sampradayas, if all the living beings have only one purpose, to attain Bhagavad Gita, then what is the need of the four Sampradayas? Actually, Prabhupadaji used to say, that diversity is the mother of enjoyment.
Variety is the mother of enjoyment. So, diversity, not only in this world, but also in other kinds of people, is the mother of enjoyment. Diversity is present in the spiritual world.
If we can take this question, that if God is one, then what is the need of different forms of God? So, why are there different forms of God? Because, different devotees have different feelings. And according to different feelings, different devotees get attracted towards different forms of God. So, in the same way, in the spiritual world, there are two things, Sadhana and Sadhya.
So, Sadhana is what we want to attain. Sadhya means, the method through which we want to attain. So, if we want to go to Bombay from here, then we can go by car, bus, train, plane, or even walk.
It is difficult, but we can go by different methods. So, the purpose of going to Bombay, Sadhana is going to Bombay, Sadhya is going to Bombay, Sadhana is the method through which I am going to attain. So, in the same way, the attainment of Bhagavad Gita, in that, there are different forms of God.
And to attain God, there are different Sadhanas. In those Sadhanas also, Bhakti is the best. But in Bhakti also, there are different feelings.
For example, in the Brahudiya Sampradaya, in our Sampradaya, there is Bhakti of Raghano and Vaidhi Bhakti. And from both types of Bhakti, Bhagavad Gita is attained. So, it is not like that, from Vaidhi Bhakti, we have to go to Raghano.
It can be like that also. But from Vaidhi Bhakti also, Adhyatmika Bhakti can be attained. The diversity is a characteristic of a person.
Variety is a characteristic of personality. Individuality and personality. When there are different people, then there are different feelings of different people.
There are attractions. So, according to that, even God has taken different paths. The four Sampradayas, for example, here we see that if someone wants to become an engineer, then in India, the most important college is IIT.
So, now everyone can go to the same IIT. So, why are there different IITs? There are so many universities. And in every IIT, what is shown in one way, is one thing.
But every IIT has different characteristics. In some IITs, the laboratory has more people. In some other IITs, there are more people.
So, these are different universities. They have different characteristics. So, in one way, these different characteristics attract different types of students.
And the second feeling is that there are so many beings, that to help everyone, God has taken different paths. So, in one way, you must have seen that God is Krishna, and all the incarnations are coming from Him. And from Him, Kumar is coming, Narguni is coming, Brahmaji is coming, Jesus is also coming.
All are coming from Him. So, all are coming from the same God, and they are all giving us the path to go to God. So, this is the difference, that God has taken different paths to attract Jeevatma according to His characteristics.
Is there any other question? Yes. Shantarastra. Okay.
His question is that, now, the Jatishkumars have attained Shantarastra, but they could not attain Dasarastra. So, can they attain Dasarastra in the future? So, first of all, it is not that they came from Dasarastra to Shantarastra. It was not like that.
Actually, they were in Brahma Gyan. They did not descend. They did not progress as much as they could.
And they attained Shantarastra from Brahma Gyan, but they did not attain Dasarastra. So, we have to see the miracles of God from two perspectives. First, what can we learn from them? We learn that we should not be afraid of God.
But, on the other hand, whatever happens in the presence of God, is perfect in a way. So, the Jatishkumars, their Sanatan Swaroop is in Shantarastra. So, that is what they attained.
It is not that they descended from their Sanatan Swaroop. But, here, what is the point of teaching? The point of teaching is that, that, in reality, if we commit a crime, how does it affect us? So, how does it happen? In the spiritual world, whatever is our Swaroop, according to that, we will be attracted. And, that is why, it is not that we can see it from the external perspective that this rope is higher But, in reality, from the perspective of experience, there is no deficiency in any rope.
The rope in which the devotee is, he is completely satisfied in that rope. When Lord Hanuman is going to find Sita, then, Hanuman is thinking that Lord Ram loves Sita so much, why doesn’t he love me as much? Because, he knows that there are different ropes. And, he is satisfied in his role.
He is completely satisfied. So, that is why, in the material world, we have to progress in this rope. We only have to progress in the rope of devotion.
If we progress in that, then, whatever is our natural rope, in that, we will be attracted to ourselves and return there. So, Thank you so much. I bow to Lord Krishna.
I bow to all the devotees. I bow to all the devotees.
