We may want to have a very good memory, but just our memory may not be so good. There are so many things which are just not the way we want them to be. However, despite it all, the emotion of our heart is something which is always in our hands.
It may not be entirely in our hands, and sometimes we may feel the way we don’t want to feel also. We may feel envious, we may feel enraged about certain things, although we don’t want to feel like that. But still, overall, apart from the passing emotions that come and go, the general temperament of our heart is something which we can, to a large extent, deal with and it is we who shape it on a daily basis.
So, if we try to approach Krishna with sincere devotion, sincere devotion doesn’t necessarily mean that we have to do, we have to have pure devotion. It simply means that we want to tell Krishna that whatever I am, I am yours. I want to offer whatever I have to you and to you, my dear servant.
I have tried so many things in this world and without you, my dear lord, nothing brings happiness and nothing can bring happiness also. So, I want to love you and serve you and assist you in whatever way I can in doing good in this world to bring about your will and to share your message and your love. So, this attitude of sincerely offering ourselves to the lord according to our capacity externally and internally is what pleases the lord and Prahlad Maharaj is giving examples from the past of Mr. Gajendra pleased you in the past, my dear lord.
