Hare Krishna so I’ll summarize, spoke today about the theme was our vision determines, our intention determines our vision we talked about the vision that is given in this verse that Krishna is in everything and everything is in Krishna now we, whenever we go anywhere we, if we are looking for someone we don’t see other people and that applies in our over life journey also so we are able to see things not only when the vision enters into our eyes but passes through the mind to the soul if we are absent minded we don’t see so the process of bhakti is about primarily spiritualizing our inner world our mind and our intelligence we talked about our intention, how can we strengthen it a pure devotee is they are eager to serve Krishna they are eager to see Krishna also but the primary thing is to serve Krishna and seeing is a part of the desire to serve and sometimes the devotees are ready to not see also if that enhances the service the gopis they want to see Krishna because they feel Krishna’s legs are being pierced by thorns and they are ready to go to hell and never see Krishna if that means that Krishna will be relieved from hell.
So Prabhupada left Vrindavan where he could constantly see Krishna in the biggest temples to go to America and there also he saw Krishna and saw that okay the modes of passion, ignorance are obstructing people from seeing Krishna so Krishna, remembrance of Krishna is always joyful but the mind is restless when we are in the mode of passion, ignorance so instead of drinking that sweet mango juice of remembrance of Krishna, the mind goes here and there looking for other things and that’s why we need the philosophy. Your devotee stay in spiritual platform with priti for us it is buddhi. For us to connect with Krishna there is a presence of distraction and the absence of attraction which is the problem.
So the distractions we cannot wish them away. Both externally the advertisers will continue and internally also the mind is the advising agent which will also continue to advertise but it is our intention which we need to make stronger the sense objects are not to be blamed because it is the sense desire within us that makes us attracted to the sense objects so we strengthen our intention by our buddhi by studying the philosophy seriously by which our intelligence becomes strong and sharp like a horse chariot here who notices quickly when the chariot horses go off and pulls them back immediately with strength and then how do we cultivate the attraction to Krishna and just by repeated practice of bhakti the attraction comes but more importantly by the association of those who are attracted to Krishna. Our desires are not just linear but also triangular so celebrity endorsements of products make themselves and especially when an object is not, looks attractive to the eye then we need association of those who are relishing that object by which we will become attracted.
The deities may look attractive to us but some for those who have come from idolatry, conception of idolatry the deities may look revolting and then their conception will change, their attraction will come and they associate with those who are attracted to Krishna so in the association of devotees the effect should be that our attraction to Krishna should increase so different devotees have different driving desires in their life so if somebody is there for prestige power, controversy we respect them but we keep them aside and focus on associating with Bhagavatam Tamas whose only desire is to serve Krishna and by their association we will tolerate and go through the effortful process of resisting distractions and focusing on Krishna even when there is not much attraction and by their mercy when the attraction manifests the process will change from effortful to joyful. Thank you very much Hare Krishna
