thank you yes foreign you can close this foreign foreign Hey Yudhishthir, in reality you are a Dharmanishtha.
So why do you want to fight? You have become accustomed to living in the forest for 12 years. Spend the rest of your life in the forest. What difference does it make? So why do you want to do violence? Why do you want to fight? And then Yudhishthir Bhara answers that I don’t want to fight.
I only want to live my dharma. And then if there is a war, it will only be due to the incitement of the Kauravas. So then Sanjay returns.
I am telling this in great detail because this is the 5th chapter. This is the main play and it is going to come ahead. So then Sanjay goes and tells Dhritarashtra everything.
Dhritarashtra also reads the thoughts. And when Sanjay is leaving, God sends a message that I will come myself. He gives a proposal of peace.
Now taking God’s proposal of peace is a very extraordinary thing. Assume that there is a war between India and Pakistan. So now when there is a war, sometimes they go to the Minister of State of India.
Or a defence officer goes to India. So there is a protest in Pakistan. Then there is a conversation.
So assume that the Prime Minister of India goes to Pakistan with a proposal of peace. So then this is a very extraordinary thing. So Krishna was the most powerful king at that time.
Many people thought that he was God. Some people do not think that he is God. But still he was a very powerful warrior.
He was the most powerful warrior of that time. So then he himself is going there. So this is a very wonderful thing.
So when Dhritarashtra gets this message, Dhritarashtra says that now Krishna is coming. In Mahabharata, Krishna is mostly called Keshav. If Keshav is going to come, then he says that if we somehow convince Keshav, then the whole thing will be solved.
So we think that when Keshav comes here, then we will welcome him with great enthusiasm. And through that, we will give him so many gifts, we will respect him so much that he will be pleased with us. And we will try to bring him to our side.
I am talking about all these sages. Then Vishnu Pradama says that, Hey Dhritarashtra, you can never influence Keshav like this. Because Keshav does not see what you are giving.
He sees with what emotion you are giving. And your ideology is polluted. That is why you will never be able to influence him.
So when Vishnu Pradama says this, then Dhritarashtra repeats it. Dhritarashtra repeats it. Dhritarashtra says that Krishna is not going to listen like this.
That is why I have another method. When Krishna comes, we arrest him. When we arrest him, and when Krishna comes in our control, then we can easily defeat Pandavas.
When we listen to this, then Vishnu Pradama gets angry. He says that, what you are saying is against both physical and spiritual religion. According to physical religion, if someone comes as a messenger, then we should never attack him.
And according to spiritual religion, Krishna is God. You can never be able to arrest Krishna. But with this effort, you will drown in so much sin, that you will be destroyed.
I don’t even want to listen to such a deep thought. And Vishnu Pradama gets angry. After this, Krishna comes there.
When Krishna comes, Duryodhana and Dhritarashtra come to welcome him. How is Duryodhana? Duryodhana thinks that we should accept what Dhritarashtra has said. If we can influence Krishna, then it is a good thing.
Duryodhana was very unreligious. But he had a good quality. He used to manipulate people, who he wanted to attract.
He used to give something, show something, show something, which used to attract him. Duryodhana didn’t have any special friendship with Karna. Because he wanted Arjuna’s support.
That’s why he caught Karna. He used to help Karna a lot. He used to help Karna in front of everyone.
Karna used to feel how much Duryodhana loved him. Duryodhana built a palace. His palace was very big.
He built a better palace for Dushyasana. He used to show how much he loved his brothers. But Dushyasana’s love was selfish.
Dushyasana built a better palace than his own. Duryodhana gave Dushyasana and all his brothers to Dushyasana. He showed how much he loved Dushyasana.
Duryodhana had a plan. When Krishna came, he wanted to keep Krishna in Dushyasana’s palace. He wanted to keep Krishna in the most beautiful palace in his kingdom.
When Krishna came in his chariot, he brought Satyaki, who was his relative and friend. When Krishna got down from his chariot, Duryodhana said, O Krishna, I welcome you. I want to take you to Dushyasana’s palace.
I have made a beautiful palace for you. Krishna looked into Duryodhana’s eyes and said, I will not accept your invitation. Why? We want to respect you.
Why are you not accepting us? Krishna said, One person eats in another person’s house in two situations. First, if he is hungry. Second, if there is love between them.
Krishna said, I am not hungry. And because you are a Pandava, we have no love. So, I will neither eat in your house, nor will I live in your palace.
I will live in Vidur’s palace. Vidur was not on Kauravas’ side. He was on Kauravas’ side.
Because Vidur was Vidur’s step-brother, his palace was not very beautiful. He did not have many facilities. But Krishna said, I will go to Vidur’s house.
And it was so unexpected, that Krishna went to Vidur’s house. Vidur did not know this was going to happen. Vidur was not in his house.
Vidur’s wife was there. And when she came there, Krishna welcomed her. She was very happy.
She was a great devotee. Krishna said, I am very hungry. She said, Krishna himself is God.
He wanted to give you something. He did not have time or knowledge. She said, I am hungry.
Krishna said, He had a fruit. He took a banana. She was so happy, that she took out a banana.
She wanted to serve Krishna. She wanted to feed Krishna. What happened? She took out a banana peel.
And threw it away. And gave him a banana peel. She was so happy, that she was looking at Krishna.
She was not even looking at what she was feeding him. She was feeding him. And Krishna was emotional.
He was emotional. So what did he do? He actually ate the peel of the banana. Not one, not two, not three.
He fed him a lot of bananas. Then Krishna said, Enough is enough. He said, I am satisfied now.
I will go and meet the rest of the Kauravas. He had to meet Bhishma and Drona. He went from there.
Then the news spread everywhere. The workers were busy with their work. They also came.
They came running to the house. When they came to the house, they saw that Krishna was not there. They asked Krishna, What happened? Krishna said, I am hungry.
I fed him a lot of bananas. Look, there are banana peels here. When he saw, there were not banana peels, but bananas.
When he saw the banana peel, Vidur was looking at him. He was looking at Vidur. Everyone was thinking about Krishna.
Krishna had so much love, that in reality, God said, If you give me a fruit, I will accept it. But here, God gave Krishna a banana peel. So much God’s love.
Once, in Mahabharata, one of my favourite stories, I thought, to prove this story, I will eat a banana peel. So in reality, I ate a small piece of banana peel. That’s enough.
I don’t want any more proof. So, in reality, God is emotional. After that, Lord Krishna met the elders there.
Vidur welcomed them. Then, in Vidur’s house, Queen Kunti was living. When Pandavas went to exile for the first time, when they were sent to Varnavat, and their house was burnt, then Kunti went with them.
But the second time, when they went to the forest, Vidur told Yudhishthira, that Kunti is too old now. She won’t be able to bear the noise of the forest. So let her stay with me.
At that time, Kunti was there. Kunti hadn’t seen her sons for 13 years. And, the rest of the people used to get the news.
But, Kauravas were Kunti’s enemies. So, they didn’t get much news. Especially, in the last year of exile, Kunti didn’t know whether her sons were alive or not.
So, she asked Krishna, and for a long time, Krishna gave her all the news. When Vidur was listening, Vidur’s wife was also there. Later on, Vidur was talking to Krishna.
He said, Krishna, you came to my house and made me proud. I am very grateful to you for coming here. But still, I have a question.
Why did you come here? Why did you come to Hastinapur? You know that Duryodhana will never listen to you. And, my fear is that the same assembly where Draupadi was insulted, the same people will still be there. And, they will also insult you.
Why do you want to be insulted? You know that Duryodhana will never change his opinion. Duryodhana will never change. So, Lord Krishna said, I know that Duryodhana will never change.
But, I want to show the world that my devotee Pandu tried his best to avoid war. He did not give up any effort. If there is a war, when there is a war, then Pandavas should never be blamed for war.
That is why I came here. And, I know that I am not going to be an Ascetic. Still, I will try my best.
I will try my best. Then, Vidur said that the message that Duryodhana said in the assembly that we will arrest Krishna. Vidur said that I have heard such rumours that they will try to arrest you.
So, Krishna started laughing. He said, let us see who will be arrested. So, the next day, when the whole assembly was called, Krishna came there.
And, Krishna greeted everyone with respect and said that your Kuru dynasty is a very powerful and great dynasty of this earth. And, your great dynasty wants this dynasty to continue forever. So, I will not get time to explain everything.
But, I will give a brief description. What does God do? When one has to talk to someone, when one has to pacify someone, there are four types of helpers. Saam, Daam, Bhed and Dand.
So, God actually uses all four. And, how He uses all four to pacify Duryodhana, let us see. First of all, Dhritarashtra is the king.
Actually, Dhritarashtra is very attached to Duryodhana. And, when we are very attached to someone, then we get under the control of that person. Because, when we are very attached to someone, then we cannot make him sad or angry and we are ready to do anything for him.
So, Dhritarashtra was on the throne. But, Duryodhana had the real power. So, in India, for 10 years, one person was on the throne and the other had the power.
Laughter Laughter So, Dhritarashtra was for his name, Dhritarashtra said to Duryodhana, that you are the king of this clan. And, if there is a war in this clan, then it will make your ancestors very sad. Why do you want to fight? Why do you want to fight? So, when God said to Dhritarashtra, that whatever you are saying is absolutely right.
I totally agree with you. But, what should I do? Duryodhana does not listen to me. So, you make Duryodhana understand.
If Duryodhana agrees, then I have no objection. So, then Krishna turned to Duryodhana. And, what Krishna said to Duryodhana, He said to Duryodhana, He said to Duryodhana, I also want And, whatever I will say, I will not say for your benefit.
I said, in reality, the wealth which the Pandavas got by doing Rajasuya Yuga, they got the wealth of the whole world. And, when they lost that wealth in gambling, all that is yours. Now, the Pandavas are not asking for the whole kingdom.
They are only asking for their share. And, you will not be short of this. Your kingdom is so prosperous that you will not have any other kingdom.
So, you will not be short of this. And, if the promise you made that after 13 years of exile, you will return the kingdom, if you keep that promise, then you will be the true player of your words. The people who sometimes call you bad, they will also accept that you keep your promise.
In this way, you will get the kingdom and your name will also increase. Your fame will also increase and you will also have wealth. When they were telling like this, they were seeing that there is no effect on poverty.
Then, they said that if you do not fight, what did they do after the exile? They got beaten. They said, if you do not fight, if you do not compromise, if you do not give the kingdom to the Pandavas, then what will happen? They said, your, your brothers, your Pakistani warriors will be destroyed. You have still tested You are very proud of this son of Suta.
But, what could this son of Suta do when in the battle of Virat, Arjun went in front of him? He faced Arjun twice and Arjun defeated him In his pride, he said, you do not destroy yourself. What to do? At that time, Bhishma, Drona were all great warriors and no one could defeat Arjun. Arjun alone is enough for your army.
And when the battle of Kurukshetra will take place, Bhishma will be there with Arjun. And, even though you may have forgotten, Bhishma has not forgotten that he has broken your bones and stopped your blood. So, Duryodhana was very proud of his strength.
And when he was talking about Karna, Karna was looking at Duryodhana with anger. Duryodhana said, I trust you. Karna was supporting him.
So, when Krishna saw that there was no effect, then, he saw Arjun’s power. You are thinking that you have a lot of power. Even though you have all the warriors of the world, Arjun alone has defeated not only your warriors, Arjun alone has defeated all the demons.
When Arjun himself went to heaven in this body, there was a big group of demons named Nivat Kavash which even Indra could not defeat. But Arjun alone defeated all of them. And before that, all the deities came to Khandav.
And Arjun alone defeated all of them. So, what about all your warriors of the world? Even the armies of demons could not defeat Arjun. So, Arjun increased his strength.
But Duryodhana had no effect. Then, God decided to make a difference. So, he looked at Dushyasana.
Dushyasana said, Duryodhana may not care for him, but you know what Bheem has vowed. Bheem has vowed that the hand with which you pulled Draupadi, that hand will be cut and that hand will drink your blood. So, when God was saying like this, Dushyasana got confused.
And when Krishna was about to speak, Dushyasana stood up and said, if Keshav is saying for our benefit, if Duryodhana does not agree, then all of us will tie Duryodhana’s hands and legs and give him to Keshav. When Duryodhana heard this, he got very angry. My own brother has become a traitor.
So, Duryodhana went away from there. So, the remaining 18 brothers got trapped between two brothers. So, Duryodhana went away.
Like in an assembly, sometimes someone walks out from the assembly. So, if there are two leaders of one party, one leader walks out and the other sits there. So, all the others think what to do.
So, the remaining 18 brothers were thinking what to do. So, Duryodhana went away. So, Duryodhana went away.
Karna and Shakuni also went away. So, Dushyasan was left alone. So, Dushyasan also went away.
So, now Duryodhana’s wisdom is that when Dushyasan came in front of him, Dushyasan was thinking what to do. What will happen to me? Where will I go? So, when Dushyasan came in front of him, Duryodhana said that Keshav is very smart. See, Dushyasan, his words also influenced you.
So, Dushyasan didn’t say that you have become a traitor. Dushyasan said that Keshav is very smart. So, Dushyasan said that you are right.
So, Dushyasan said that we should not listen to Keshav. We went away. But I am afraid that he will influence all the people in the assembly.
So, Duryodhana said that this is happening. So, what should we do? So, when Dushyasan went away, suppose, two people are talking and one person goes away, this is an insult. So, Krishna turned to Dhritarashtra and said that Duryodhana doesn’t have so much culture that he goes away and doesn’t even Dhritarashtra said that call Gandhari.
He said that maybe Gandhari will be able to convince Duryodhana. So, he called Gandhari. So, Gandhari was actually a very religious woman.
And when she came to know how Duryodhana insulted Draupadi, she cried and scolded Duryodhana a lot. And when Duryodhana didn’t listen to her, since then Gandhari used to do a lot of Vrat so that Duryodhana insults Draupadi so that she does a lot of Vrat for his repentance. So, when Gandhari was called, she came to the assembly and then Duryodhana was also called.
So, Gandhari said to Duryodhana that today you are very fortunate that all Pandavas instead of attacking you are as their opponent. And the peace proposal they are making is very suitable for you. Please accept it.
And she convinced him very lovingly. Because Gandhari knew that if there is a war, then Duryodhana will not be able to win. But still she knew Dharma.
She knew that he will not be able to win. And when Gandhari with so much love was requesting like this, Krishna said that Duryodhana, I don’t want to fight. Pandavas don’t want to fight.
Half of the kingdom is their right. But even if you don’t want to give half of the kingdom, then give at least 5 villages to Pandavas. Every Pandava will rule one village.
Duryodhana was very proud. So, not just 5 villages, he will not even give that much land in which you can keep a needle. You go.
Duryodhana said that there will be silence in the whole assembly. Even if we say there is a way to say No. Someone says that you can work No, I can’t do this.
Even if we say No, there is a way to say No. My heart wants to do it, but I can’t do it. This No means that I am not even thinking of saying Yes.
So, when we say like this, then there is complete silence in the assembly. And then Krishna saw all the elders and said that I have tried my best. And you are seeing that this egoistic child is not only destroying he is destroying all the Kuru clan.
Will you all allow this destruction to happen? Will you all not do anything to stop this destruction? When all the Kuru ancestors, especially Dhritarashtra, are requested by Krishna, then Duryodhana got scared. He said that he started thinking that if Krishna emotionally influenced Dhritarashtra, then all the work will be ruined. Then he said, enough is enough.
Arrest him. And he kept all his soldiers and commanders near all the doors and all the soldiers came inside with weapons. Kshatriyas always have weapons but if there is peace in the assembly, then they don’t have weapons.
And then when all the Kshatriyas came towards Krishna to arrest him, Krishna started laughing. And while laughing he stood up and said Do you want to arrest me? Arrest me. And suddenly God appeared in the form of Universe.
When he appeared in the form of Universe, from all the Universe, from all the body, he became a huge body. And not only became a huge body, from all the huge body, fire was coming out. Fire was coming out.
Fire was coming out from somewhere. And then from all the parts of his body, different deities were coming out. Like Indra, Vayu, Varuna.
And then from behind God, all the Pandavas were seen. And Bheem was looking at Duryodhana with anger. And Duryodhana was surprised to see Krishna’s form.
And that form was so so terrifying that from where all the soldiers came to attack Krishna, to arrest him, they not only stood still, but all their weapons fell from their hands. And they were scared to see what was happening. And it was such a terrifying form that when it was seen, all the Universe was also shocked.
And outside stormy wind was coming. And outside lightning was coming. The ground was shaking as if there was going to be an earthquake.
And all this was happening when Krishna’s form was so so terrifying that most of the people fainted. And then Duryodhana asked Sanjay, what is happening? Sanjay said, Krishna has shown his form to me. So Dhritarashtra said, Hey Keshav, you show me your form.
I request you. So Krishna said, I will give you Chakshu. And from Chakshu, he saw Krishna’s huge form.
Why did he do like this? He said, he doesn’t believe in words. So at least if he sees the power, then Dhritarashtra will get the wisdom. So Dhritarashtra saw Krishna’s form.
And all the soldiers who came to attack, they saw it. They were afraid that what will happen if this form will attack us. So Dhritarashtra ran away.
And Duryodhana saw that all the soldiers also ran away. So Dhritarashtra was in complete despair. And when Dhritarashtra was leaving, Krishna again took his form and came back.
He said, Dhritarashtra, you have seen your son’s form and you have also seen my power. Now the decision is in your hands. Dhritarashtra said, O Krishna, why do you blame me? I have tried my best to make Duryodhana understand.
If Duryodhana cannot understand, then what can I do? Then Dhritarashtra said, O Krishna, the king of the world has said that he is powerless. Now the war is about to start. So Krishna left.
It was evening and Krishna tried to make Duryodhana understand. So Duryodhana showed his form and Krishna said, I will go now. So Duryodhana said, go in the evening and stay here tonight and go tomorrow morning.
Then Duryodhana sent a message to Karna that I want to meet you. So Karna came to meet him. When Karna came to meet him, Krishna came in his chariot and said, come in my chariot.
Then Krishna said to Karna, O Karna, do you know that you are the eldest Pandava? You are Kunti’s son. Actually, Kunti had told this to Karna. He said, you are worthy of becoming the king of the world.
If you will go in the side of Adharma, then you will be destroyed. If you will go in the side of Pandavas, then you will become the king of the world. If you will go in the side of Adharma, then not only you will be destroyed, everyone will be destroyed in this war.
Then Karna said, O Krishna, what you are saying is true. I know that in this war, the Kauravas will be destroyed. He said, the dice which Shakuni threw against Pandavas, the dice which Arjuna’s arrow and Bheem’s mace will be thrown against Pandavas.
And the war in Kurukshetra will destroy everyone. I had a dream last night. I saw Yudhishthir flying on a beautiful chariot wearing white clothes.
I saw Duryodhana wearing black clothes. All his hair was cut off. He was sitting on a donkey’s chariot.
And he was going downwards. So, with this dream, with this Shakuni, I know that the Kauravas will be destroyed. But, Duryodhana helped me a lot.
And Duryodhana trusted my friend and fought this war. So, I cannot go against him. Lord Krishna explained to Karna.
Actually, Duryodhana gave Karna the kingdom of Anga. But, actually, Duryodhana did not have Because Duryodhana was neither a king nor a prince. He was only a prince.
He was not the next king. He was one of the many princes. So, at that time, giving a part of the kingdom to someone was only the king’s right.
Duryodhana did not have the right to give the kingdom of Anga. And the kingdom of Pandu was of Pandu’s son. Duryodhana did not have his own kingdom.
And even if he had his own kingdom, in the end, everything was of Krishna. So, Krishna who did not accept Duryodhana, was a misfortune Mahabharata says that Karna actually had many good qualities. But, because of one bad quality, all the good qualities were destroyed.
And that bad quality was misdirected loyalty. So, Duryodhana was loyal, but his loyalty was misdirected. And all his good qualities were destroyed.
So, Krishna tried to explain to Karna. But Karna did not agree. So, Krishna called Karna and said, Hey Karna, our next meeting will be in the battlefield.
And Krishna left from there. So, externally, if we see, Krishna was unhappy in every way. He could not convince Duryodhana.
He could not convince Karna either. So, he went as a peace messenger. What did he bring? Nothing.
But in reality, from this Leela, God shows that for him, his reputation, his fame, his fame is not as important as the fame and fame of his devotees. He was seeing that Pandavas were not accused of war. And for that, he himself became not only a peace messenger.
For a king, for a great warrior, going as a messenger is a very low level. But going as a messenger and being a warrior, is a bigger defeat. It is an insult.
But God accepts this too. Why does he accept this? Because he loves his devotees. And for the love of his devotees, he is ready to do anything.
So, in reality, we can say that Duryodhana was so foolish that he did not listen to God. But the same God who went to Hastinapur as a peace messenger, the same God comes with us as a messenger. The God comes with all of us.
ईश्वर सर्वभूताना प्रदेशे अर्जुनतिष्ठति ब्रामयन सर्वभूतानि यंत्रा रुधानि माहिया God is in everyone’s heart. And wherever we go, God always goes with us. And why does he go with us? Because he loves all of us.

So, when we take God’s name while sleeping, God starts listening to us.
He is taking my name. If we take God’s name while meditating, God stands up and says, He is calling me. If we take God’s name while meditating, while praying, God starts dancing with joy.
He is coming to me after so many births. God is coming to me. And when we dance and sing in the Kirtan, while taking God’s name, God takes us to His Dham.
So, this is Bhavagrahi Bhagwan. And this Bhagwan is with us in the form of His name. The Hare Krishna Mantra is Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare In reality, God Himself is present in this name.
Abhinatvam Naam Naam Naam So, sometimes we can come to the temple. We come to the temple once a week and take darshan of the idols. But we think, I can’t come to the temple daily.
I have so much work and responsibilities. But God is always with us in the form of His name. And when we chant His name, we experience God’s presence.
And whenever we want to chant God’s name, some people say, God’s name goes on for 24 hours. It’s a good feeling. But in reality, in any relationship, we don’t say that if a wife is at home and husband comes back from work, wife says, I love you very much.
Husband says, I am very hungry. Make me something to eat. Husband says, I love you very much.
Husband says, make me something to eat. Husband says, I love you very much. No.
If there is love, we have to show it in our actions. If there is only love in the heart, in reality, love doesn’t last long. It’s very superficial.
If we say, if we have devotion for God, it’s good to chant His name in the heart. But we have to express it. And if we take out some time, one or two months, we chant God’s name consciously.
When we say, I chant in my mind, it means, God, you are not so important for me that I take out time to chant for you. That’s why I chant in my mind. If we consider someone important, what do we do? We take out time for them.
And chant their name. If we chant one or two mantras as much as we can, what happens with that? We show Krishna that He is a priority for us. We show God, that you are important for me.
And when we show this to God, then God gives His immense grace. And we can feel His support. It’s not that we get only God’s grace by going to Bhagavad Gita.
If we remember God, then in this world, in this life also, we get a wonderful relief, a peace and satisfaction. Suppose it’s very hot outside and we come to an air-conditioned room. So what happens? We get relief immediately from the heat.
Similarly, in this world, there are many worries, many responsibilities, many thoughts that make us anxious. But if we remember God, then all the worries in this world are like the heat outside. And as soon as we remember God, it’s like coming to an air-conditioned room.
As soon as we remember God, we can get relief from all the problems. We can feel peace and satisfaction. And in this way, we can all come closer to God.
And we can get God’s grace in this life and in the next life. Thank you very much. Shri Krishna Bhagavan Ki Jai! Shri Prabhupada Ki Jai! Gaur Bhakta Bind Ki Jai! Jai Gaur Krishnanand Ji Jai!
