Thank you Hare Krishna On the occasion Of this sacred Associated Vishwa Advait Acharya Let us meditate on What an unparalleled Unique role He plays In the past times The Shetana Mahaprabhu For the deliverance Of not just the whole world But the whole universe Vishwa Advait Acharya Is an elder Vaishnava Much more in age Than Shetana Mahaprabhu And he Is the person Who saw the fallen nature Of the world And his heart could not tolerate That separation And that’s why he prayed to the lord My dear lord Please appear, please descend And it was the fervency of his call He read in the scriptures How even by the simple worship of the lord In the Gautami Tantra He read about how by offering Tulsi and water and calling out to the lord Fervently The lord His call penetrated through all The Planetary systems, high up Through the universal coverings and went Through the Brahmajyoti, the spiritual world And went to the heart of the lord And the lord could not resist And the lord would repeatedly say It was Advait Acharya who brought me down From the spiritual world And Advait Acharya’s Devotion is also In many ways demonstrated But perhaps one of the most extraordinary Demonstrations Of his devotion As in how It was he who started The glorification of the lord To Shetana Mahaprabhu Although he was god, he was channa avatar And he very rarely And certainly not In public, he did not accept Glorification as the lord He wanted The focus to be on Krishna But Advait Acharya’s heart was such that He wanted to glorify that same Krishna When he manifested as Shetana Mahaprabhu And it was in Navadvi, it was in Puri At one time, Advait Acharya Started doing Kirtans of the names of Gauranga And as he started Chanting the names of Gauranga The devotees hearts were trembling At the same time The devotees hearts were jubilant On one side, they did not want To stop Relishing the nectar of the names of Gauranga and sharing that nectar With everyone But they were also afraid that lord Shetana Mahaprabhu Will be displeased, he will become angry And Shetana Mahaprabhu Was in Gambhira and he came out and Looked at the devotees What is he doing? It was clear That he was upset, the devotees hearts almost Stopped, seeing how upset The lord was, but Advait Acharya Continued singing the lord’s names And he was Assisted by another Vaishnava, Srivasthakur And Srivasthakur Told my dear lord What are the devotees doing? Srivasthakur looked up at the sun and tried To put his hand on the sun, what are you doing? Srivasthakur said, Srivasthakur said First he had asked, what are these devotees doing? Now Srivasthakur, what are you doing? He said, my dear lord, I am trying to cover The sun with my hand How can the sun be covered? And similarly My dear lord, you are the supreme lord How can your glories be covered? The devotees want to Relish your glories And share your glories with the world How long can you hide it? So Advait Acharya Not only did he bring Lord Gauranga down to the world But he also gave us The legacy of The sweetness Of the names of Gauranga By starting the Sankirtan Of his names That Advait Acharya Who took great pride In declaring himself And wanting the lord To treat him as his servant Although the lord would give him the veneration Worthy of a guru Seeing him to be a god brother of his guru Advait Acharya was a disciple of Madhavendra Puri, therefore a god brother of Ishwara Puri, the spiritual master of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu So Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Wanted to respect him but Advait Acharya Would go to any length He said my position is your servant my dear lord I always want to be your servant Please let me stay in that position Eternally Saying this he would beg, beg to the lord And he even went To the extreme of Sharing Mayavad philosophy That’s a long past time, we can’t go into that But suffice it to say that He wanted the lord to Come to the world, he wanted to glorify the lord And he wanted to relish The sweetness of a subordinate Position, of the position of a servant In front of the lord Such is the extraordinary contribution And example of Sri Advait Acharya We can pray to him that by His mercy just as the lord descended to the world That he descend into our heart Also, just as he started the Glorification of the lord That we also may In our lives glorify the lord wholeheartedly Just as he Longed for and relished A subordinate position in front of the lord We may also give up our Independent, domineering, enjoying mentality And relish A subordinate position in front of the lord Sri Advait Acharya ki Jai Thank you.
