As the soul is higher than the intelligence then how can the intelligence understand the soul as the Gita 3.43 says?

Essential principles of devotional happiness. Krishna doesn’t say specifically that we have to understand the soul with the intelligence. He says situate oneself on the spiritual platform with the intelligence.
एवं बुद्धे परं बुद्धा संस्थप्यात्मानमात्मणः प्रेशित्रुम् नहां वाहो काम अनुपंदु रासदं In this way, with one’s buddhi, param buddha, knowing oneself, buddha means to know, knowing oneself to be param, to be above, to be higher, to be transcendental. संस्थप्यात्मानमात्मणः Then situate oneself on the spiritual platform. You fix the mind on the spiritual platform.
So one atma refers to mind, other refers to soul. So the idea is here that just with our intelligence, we may not get a clear understanding of spiritual reality. But we can at least understand the existence of the spiritual reality and we can understand our identity to be spiritual.
It’s like, if we look at the world, we do see some design in this world. And by looking at the design, we can infer the existence of the designer. But we cannot know the identity of the designer.
We cannot know whether the designer is Louis Blanc, Cowboy Boy, or whatever. So by inference, using our intelligence, we can understand that there has to be a super-intelligent designer by looking at the image. Similarly, Krishna’s is over here.
By intelligence, we can understand that there is a spiritual value. So the atma is higher in the sense that the atma is the source of consciousness. And without the atma, even the buddhi will not be able to function.
So in that sense, the atma is definitely higher. Because the source of consciousness, the source of activity for the buddhi, is all of the pathways. So it is higher, and it’s not that the intelligence understands the soul by its own effort.
The intelligence understands that there is something higher than that in the spiritual reality. And then after understanding that, the intelligence is used to follow a process by which one will situate oneself in the spiritual realm. And over a period of time, when we situate ourselves in the spiritual background, then we get spiritual realization.
And when we get spiritual realization, then we actually understand asking the soul. The understanding of asking the soul doesn’t come by intelligence, it comes by practice. Practice of a person of sound.
Just like a person is perpetually sick. A person has been, say, blind lifelong. And a person has been living in a kingdom where everybody is blind.
And the person may not even know that there is something called seeing. But if a person meets some other person who is seeing, the blind person meets, and then understands intellectually that there is something called seeing, then after understanding that there is something called seeing, then the person can strive to follow a process by which he will see. So, intelligence alone will not enable the person to see.
But intelligence will enable the person to understand that there is something called seeing. Similarly, intelligence cannot help us to understand the soul per se, in its entirety. But it can help us to understand that there is something called the soul.
And then it can guide us to following a process by which we realize.
