Can one action lead to a different karmic reaction? Can the reaction to be arson?
Question, can karmic reactions be different from the actions that somebody has done somebody someone might their might their house be burned in an expiry answer the way karma works is complex it is not necessary that exactly the same literal way the same literal action that we have done the exact same reaction we have to get the principle is that we are accountable for our actions exactly how that accountability will work out can vary from person to person situation to situation and in one sense that is the reason why karma becomes so complex life life presents many many complex situations so certainly it is possible that we may sometimes get reactions in a form that is different from the actions that we have done exactly if we consider karma to be like a bank account if we had taken a debt we had to repay the debt that is the key principle somebody might have taken a debt alone and they may use it for gambling but afterwards they essentially have to pay back the loan and that means they might lose they might lose their house or they might lose their the bank account might be frozen or whatever so principle is we get reactions for the actions that we have done and the scriptural passages which often seem to state that it is the exact same reaction those are indicative of the principle it does not necessarily mean that they give an exhaustive list of all possibilities for how each action will give a corresponding reaction this is indicative look at the list that is given higher in Vedic texts that is an exhaustive list of all possible wrongdoings so it is also possible that somebody may get the exact same reaction of the action that they have done it is also possible that they may get a different reaction.
