Can we desire to have a child like Lord Rama?
So can we have a child like lord ram in this age so i see the two different things over here there is desiring and there is demanding so the whole mood of devotion is that we naturally desire devotional things we initially desire good things so as devotees we would like to have darshan of the lord you know we would like to have as much devotional facility as possible if you have a child you would like to have a child who is saintly so these are these desires are indicative of devotion if those desires are only not there then obviously that i mean where is the devotion but at the same time devotion also is in the mood of service that means that we don't demand from the lord so we desire that expresses our devotion but not demanding that also expresses our devotion that means the mood of a devotee is my dear lord that whatever happens i will serve you but this is how i feel inspired to serve you so we express our inspiration we express our aspiration but at the same time we don't make our service conditional the fulfillment of that aspiration is that so the more so if we desire to have a child with divine qualities that's definitely a that's a laudable desire that's the end of we can try to be as pure as possible we can try to live purely practice purely and pray spiritualize our consciousness that increases the the likelihood of attracting a spiritual spiritually advanced soul and at the same time it's important that so we do our part so in every activity that is there there is there's something which is in our control something which is beyond our control so we do that which is in our control and that which is not in our control we understand that Krishna will do what is the best for us so we when we when we get a child we don't burden the child with our expectations we essentially would like the child to be a wonderful person but then every person every child is also sold in their own right in his or her own right so a child will grow in their own way and we don't we we offer facility we inspire we give knowledge but then we don't demand so it's if you're inspired by Lord Ram then you can lead more Ramayan in the spirit that will spiritualize the consciousness with thoughts of Ram and that will definitely attract a soul who is much more who is much more spiritually inclined elevated you could say but don't see that as a demand don't make that as a precondition that means whatever happens dear lord we will serve you and ultimately nothing is impossible for Krishna he can do anything at the same time we don't we don't expect that we don't expect that Krishna has to do something impossible for us the mood of bhakti there is the mood of punya and there is the mood of bhakti in punya my dear lord i do this for you and you will do this for me in bhakti it's more of my dear lord whatever you want me to do i'll do for you so the lord also does the lord also reciprocates with devotees but the devotee is not still the devotee is not driven by that by that expectation of some reciprocation at this particular level notice my dear lord i'll just keep serving you krishna will reciprocate in wonderful ways the lord will reciprocate in his own in his own amazing ways but we just have the mood of service and then whatever works out will be favorable for our growth ultimately we understand that Krishna knows better than us.
