CC daily 141 – M 6.205 – Liberation in devotion is the zenith of liberation

Once again thank you prabhura krupaya tanra by the mercy of lord chaitanya mahaprabhu sphurila sabha tattva all truths became manifested in his heart sphurila they became spontaneously manifested nama prema dana di varanena mahatva and nama the holy name prema dana the charity the benediction of love of god adhi varanena mahatva so he understood the importance of lord chaitanya mahaprabhu's mission center of chanting of the holy names and on distributing love of god so here what does it mean when we say that we get the mercy of the lord the word mercy can be understood by different people at different level say someone is suffering from an incurable disease and that person prays and suddenly the incurable disease is cured people say oh this is a great mercy of god and yes it is indeed a special mercy but there are various levels and degrees of mercy and the top most mercy of the lord is some people may say liberation from eternal existence that yes ok an incurable disease is one kind of misery but even if the incurable disease is cured still there are so many other kinds of miseries which will keep coming in life but if someone can become liberated entirely from eternal existence then that is by far the greatest mercy and yes that is also true at one level now not just liberation from eternal existence attainment of love of Krishna, love of the lord by which one attains the eternal abode of the lord for eternal life of ecstatic love that could be considered an even higher mercy prayers and poetry that is often the sentiment expressed that I don't even want liberation of lord without without you so without service to you without so this third kind of the lord instructing he says about how the utterly selfless disposition that characterizes pure devotees by which they seek not even the liberation that deprives them of service of the lord so they consider service to him the greatest treasure and that service they want to do not because they get some sadistic joy in being relegated to the inferior position of a servant but because service is the way they express their love and the service is the way by which they enhance their love and service is the means by which they experience Krishna's love for them so the point here is that service to the lord is the service especially when service is done selflessly and fulfillingly that is a great mercy of the lord beyond that we could say that there are different levels of servants it is said that the best servant is one who understands the lord's mind one who understands the master's mind and does the master's billing even before the master expresses that so for that one needs to actually understand the heart and have an intimate relationship with the master and that kind of understanding of the inner heart of the things that are important, the things that are vital, the things that are defining for the master's mission understanding that is to gain access to the heart of the master so just as Brahmapada was glorified by his spiritual master as having understood the inner mission of his he has understood me through his writings Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Chaitanya Prabhupada praying please said that he has understood me so similarly Rupa Goswami understood the heart of lord Chaitanya and this ability to understand the innermost values and priorities and dreams of one's master that is a special result of the special mercy of the master so here it is said that when Sarvabhauma offered obeisances to the lord and offered prayers the lord Chaitanya's mercy was shored down upon Sarvabhauma what was the result of that shoring down of mercy the important point is immediately Sarvabhauma understood the mission of the lord Sarvabhauma understood how important those trees are Sarvabhauma Sarvabhauma understood that lord Chaitanya understood that revealed that to Sarvabhauma that how important the chanting of the holy names how important the distribution of love of god was for him and this was the defining mission of lord Chaitanya and when Sarvabhauma Sarvabhauma understood that and this indicates that Sarvabhauma had received the topmost mercy of the lord so only because he had received such mercy that he could understand at an intimate level what was the dear most to the heart of lord Chaitanya so we say in the we say in the prayer to lord Chaitanya so supremely merciful because it is your mission to distribute love of god and that distribution understanding what is the core mission of what is the heart's most valued thing for a master understanding that and sharing that is by far the greatest blessing that a follower can get and we will see how Sarvabhauma in just a few days after this dramatic conversion becomes an intimate associate of lord Chaitanya and helps assist serve in fulfilling his mission of relishing and sharing love of god.
