Does the discovery of the God particle disprove the existence of God?

Does the existence of the god particle disprove the existence of god answer no, not at all in fact it has very little bearing to the existence of god question nowadays most scientific research institutes and most professional scientists are accompanied by what are called as spin doctors spin doctors are professionals who are expert at marketing of any idea or any concept or presenting news in a way that will evoke positive response and good publicity so many of the top research labs in the world have paid professionals who break the news in a very professional in a very marketing savvy way using all the latest professional gadgetry and language and concepts so for example if a research paper says that study of cancer treatment in rats in their bodily cells shows 73% success this is the kind of sober paper that we published in a journal but when it comes to the popular media it may get as exaggerated and distorted as saying newspaper headline cancer cure now actually cancer is far far from cured but the media is all about grabbing attention of people and that is what they will do so similarly actually speaking the Higgs boson has got very little to do with God or the God particle for that matter it is one particle which exists for millionth and quadrillion one millionth or one quadrillionth of a second and it just appears and disappears out of existence and it has absolutely no property like the property of God who exists eternally who is all pervading who is infinite and all powerful so when this particle was proposed and research was going on for that at that time so Leon Liderman was a Nobel laureate physicist who wrote a book called the God particle actually he was writing a book called the Higgs boson and his publisher told him that anything related to the name of Higgs boson would be having practically no marketing appeal and therefore he told him to think of some other name and Liderman said that he wanted to call it the God damn particle because the Higgs was so elusive in fact there are critics of this whole project of Higgs boson research who say that the research lab that was there in America the LHC the Large Hedron Collider was sucking up American dollars faster than what a black hole sucks up matter and they said that this is a waste of public money which could be used for many other purposes which would be more productive so because of the huge amount of money that was being spent to search for this particle he wanted to call it the God damned particle but the publisher told him that for whatever reason that will create antipathy and that will create negative ideas so better call it the God particle and many sober scientists do not like the name God particle because they know that it is a hyperbole that misleads readers why? because actually discovering that particle is not like discovering God within physics the idea was that just as within spiritual circles God is considered to be the most important entity so for physicists within the standard theory standard model which is the particular theory which is being researched currently by a large number of physicists and which suggests the existence of a Higgs boson so within that theory the Higgs boson was a very important particle and the physicists wanted to convey the idea that for us this particle is as important as God is for the religionists and that's why they called it the God particle so it was basically idea devised by the spin doctors to make an abstract and unappealing and largely irrelevant scientific concept popular, sensational and eye-catching or more money-catching by making people purchase the book about it so this is about the name of the book, name of the particle which has really got nothing to do with God now what does the discovery of this particle prove? the discovery of the particle in and of itself is just one step forward in understanding one branch of material knowledge that is physics so within physics there are two theories the quantum theory and the relativity theory which are violently contradictory and researchers are struggling to reconcile this and the standard model is largely a development from the quantum perspective and it is taking small steps towards ultimately incorporating relativity and the gravitational force within it so for incorporating the gravitational force, the quantum theory has to figure out how there is mass within existence because according to quantum theory everything is ultimately waves and according to relativity there are objects with mass existing so this discovery of the Higgs boson which through the mechanism of the Higgs field imparts matter imparts matter with mass is one step forward towards bringing gravitation within the standard model but other researchers have pointed out that as far as coming up with the general theory with the theory of everything is concerned researchers are as far away as a person who has climbed up a tree top is far away from the sky certainly from the ground point of view, going up to the tree top is significant achievement but it is still far far away from the sky, similarly even for understanding one branch of knowledge, that is physics scientists are very far away from that and even within that branch of knowledge even that branch of knowledge is just one branch of knowledge within the material sciences and all these material sciences are actually studying only material reality and beyond that there is a spiritual reality and reigning up in the spiritual reality is God so therefore this particle really does not do much for proving the existence of God or for that matter disproving its existence which is what many scientific atheists would like to believe and would like the world to believe so all that it indicates is that one significant step forward in understanding one theory which deals with one branch of knowledge within the totality of knowledge so scientists have certainly worked hard for it and their research may have some technological spin-offs which may benefit humanity in some ways and as far as it goes that effort and those spin-offs can be recognized but to say that this issue has any bearing on the existence of God is a wild and unsubstantiated exaggeration but still looking seriously at the issue the very fact that nature follows laws indicates that it must be someone who is making those laws to be followed by nature and I have explained this elaborately in the lecture that I have given on the God particle issue that actually the laws ultimately bear testimony to the existence of God who is making matter follow its laws and so in that sense it is ultimately God who is acting so if we understand this then the more we see nature following all the laws behaving according to laws the more it can bear testimony to the actions of God within nature and going further another spiritual aspect that we can relate from this research is that for a particle that is practically invisible not just with the eyes but even with the most sophisticated instruments it is nearly invisible for researching such a particle whose relevance practically speaking for the world is not known and is somewhat questionable for such a research scientists are ready to spend billions of dollars of money and are ready to slave for decades so if for a God particle discovery science is ready to spend so much money and energy to do research then why not do similar research to find out the Godly particle that is there within the heart, the Godly particle is the Atma Om Aimamsho Jeeva Loke Jeeva Bhutah Sanatana Lord Krishna describes that I am the the soul in the heart is my eternal fragmental part and if actually the soul is understood then all of us will understand who we actually are and when we understand who we actually are at that time there will be substantial deepening of the purposefulness and meaningfulness and joyfulness of life and this is a question which has immediate relevance to us so just as the God particle is invisible but because within the theoretical perspectives the existence of a God particle is considered reasonable so similarly within the broader philosophical perspective of our self identity the question of the existence of a soul is extremely sensible and valuable and therefore it needs to be considered and many people say seeing is believing and they feel that this sort of argument is a refutation of religion and spirituality vindication of science and materialism but here we see that science itself is rejecting seeing is believing and is spending billions of visible dollars to chase after invisible particle whose returns in terms of visible dollars are dubious at best then why not spend some time and energy to similarly research the invisible godly particle that is there within our hearts and thereby understand the fundamental questions of life that have perplexed humanity for such a long time since time immemorial particularly so to summarize firstly the god particle is just a deceptive name that is used to attract attention and popularity, secondly the discovery of the god particle doesn't in any way have a bearing on the existence of god because the god particle has none of the properties of god it is just a particle that is extremely tiny below microscopic level it is extremely tiny life span which cannot even be measured whereas god is all pervading is infinite, he is eternal he is all powerful this one theory for explaining one branch of science is advanced by this discovery by the totality of knowledge that we have is still far greater and even if the totality of knowledge were discovered the very fact that this knowledge is understandable and logical and scientifically measurable predictable, understandable terms indicate that this matter is organized according to some laws and that can be used to indicate the existence of god so therefore scientific research rather than proving the existence of god can be used to prove the existence of god and thirdly this research can be used to demonstrate the falsity of the popular seeing is believing and can be used to redirect human attention not just to the god particle but also to the godly particle so that humans can understand their identity better and transform their lives in a positive direction
