thank you and so bheeshma pitamaha as he’s lying on the arrow bed he sees the pandavas sitting nearby and the pandavas are overwhelmed by affection bheeshma pitamaha has been their unclenching well-wisher all the time and actually broke the heart of the pandavas to have to fight against him and to have to bring about his downfall and here as they are standing next to him they are overwhelmed by emotions emotions of how much bheeshma has always loved them like a father after their own father pandu departed prematurely and how they have now how inconceivably fate made them have to fight against bheeshma and now they are here bheeshma pitamaha is about to depart from the world and they will never see him again so they are feeling overwhelmed by emotions and bheeshma is a very perceptive person he can see what the pandavas are going through in their heart and bheeshma pitamaha had the capacity for so he could very easily have departed earlier and he could have avoided seeing all the atrocities that pandavas had to undergo at the hands of the evil kauravas but he lived on because he knew that krishna’s plan would be successful and the pandavas would eventually be glorified so he’s saying abhyaj he’s congratulating them ashray he’s feeling a strong feeling happily congratulated them there were tears in his eyes to see yudhishthira maharaj coronated as the king to see the pandavas dressed in royal garments and ornaments and andhibhuta not just tears or emotions within those emotions were overwhelming and chakshisha with overwhelming emotion tears came from his eyes and he congratulated the pandavas so here we see an intense reciprocation of emotions among devotees so actually when there are difficulties adversities at that time those adversities may even sometimes appear to pit devotees against each other the pandavas had to fight against bheeshma so sometimes in the course of service when there are challenges devotees may be pitted against each other by inconsequential arrangement but the underlying affection of the devotees for each other always remains and the devotees don’t lose perspective for the sake of service there may be difference of opinions and that difference has to be dealt with properly effectively but the devotees don’t lose sight that ultimately the those who are those with whom i am debating are also devotees they are also vaishnavas and they they have dedicated their life to krishna and krishna loves them so devotees we are all individuals so naturally we’ll have differences but we shouldn’t let the differences make us lose perspective of that which is actually not different what is not different is that we are all devotees of krishna and ultimately our purpose is to serve and please krishna so often when we have differences with the devotees that adhibhauti klesh can become one of the biggest distractors in the path of spiritual advancement and especially not just generally spiritual advancement but specifically during our chanting because our mind just gets lodged onto that that okay this difference this difference of opinion and we may even succumb to strongly negative feelings malicious vicious feelings but if we remember that ultimately our goal is not just to get things done our goal is to love krishna and loving krishna also means to love those who are trying to love him and to love those who whom he loves so this krishna centered vision can help us to see our differences in perspective not that we can wish away those differences but we don’t have to wish others away that means we don’t have to have animosity towards others we keep things in perspective and recognize that ultimately we all want to do krishna’s way and what is krishna’s way we will best understand when we ourselves do krishna’s way so we may feel that the way we want to do a particular service that is the best way and that is what krishna wants that may or may not be so but when we are trying to take shelter of the holy name by chanting we do know what is krishna’s way that time krishna simply wants us to absorb ourselves in the holy name so if we do krishna’s will at this time and try to absorb ourselves in the holy name krishna sees our submission krishna sees our team spirit and then he gives us from within guidance to how to do his will how to have amity within the devotee community and how to resolve those differences That may involve sometimes insisting on doing our way but politely explaining the situation or sometimes sacrificing our way for the sake of doing something others way, but the important thing is that We remember that ultimately Our priority is to love krishna. It is not just to get things done in this world And by remembering that priority we can Put aside the distractions and absorb ourselves in the remembrance of krishna At the time of chanting, thank you
