Thank you. In the absolute law, in the absolute truth, all contradictions are reconciled and resolved. That which flows in different directions is constantly manifest.
So, in the absolute truth, actually, inconceivability is a defining characteristic. So, good and bad, both are in the absolute truth good. Everything that is there is present, but it is reconciled and transcended.
Just as it is said in the Kingdom of God, it is said in the Bible, and it is talked about in the Anandavan Champu. Bible says that in that absolute, in the Kingdom of God, the tiger and the deer shall live in ever-friendly existence. And Anandavan Champu described how when Krishna and the Gopas go to the forest, they see tigers and deer living close by and not harming anyone.
And no harm comes. So, this is just one example. But Vriddha Gatayog, whatever is contradictory here is reconciled in the absolute truth.
Vidyadayog, Vidshatayog, Purvyat. So, you have innumerable energies. We talk about the three categories.
Antaranga, Bhairanga and Tapastha. Yes, these are three broad categories. But the energies of the Lord are innumerable and they are constantly manifest.
Even when the material energy is not manifest, the spiritual energy is manifest in the spiritual world. And that brings constant ecstasy to the Supreme Lord. And when we see Bhagwan, we understand the relationship of Brahman.
So, here Dhruva Maharaj is seeing the Supreme Absolute Truth of Bhagwan. But along with that, he is also understanding that Brahman is included and subordinated in this Bhagwan as Bhagwan, which is the ultimate feature of the Absolute Truth. So, Brahman is a subordinate reality and Bhagwan is a superordinate reality.
Superordinate means that which is superior, that which exists above. So, he is now describing that Brahman, which is glorified by the impersonalists. What is its characteristic? That Brahma Vishwabhamekam Anantamadhyam.
Vishwabhavam, it is the source of the universe. All the material existences reside in the Brahman manifestation. Ekam one, it is Anantamadhyam.
It is unlimited. And it is Adi. It is timeless.
Anandamatramavikaram aham prapadye. So, Anandamatramavikaram. It is filled with this Anandamatram.
And it doesn’t undergo any changes. It is not that it is happy. It is filled with happiness today and tomorrow it will be filled with distress.
No, it is constantly filled with happiness. Aham prapadye. I surrender to that Lord who is the source of this all-pervading impersonal effulgence of the Brahman.
So, actually, in this world, we are attracted to so many things. But when we understand how the Lord integrates everything within Himself, the contradictory aspects of this world, and still reigns supreme in His personal transcendental existence, we realize that in His shelter, even the contradictory currents that go on in our mind, sometimes we feel attracted to one thing, sometimes we feel averse to that same thing. Sometimes we feel my job is wonderful.
Other times we feel my job is dreadful. Sometimes we feel happy with our family members. Sometimes we feel irritated with them.
Sometimes we feel good about ourselves. Sometimes we feel miserable about ourselves. These all contradictory currents of thoughts run haywire in the mind, and they create misery for us.
Just as all contradictions can be resolved in the terms of concepts in the Lord, similarly, contradictory currents of emotions are also resolved in the Lord. When we take shelter of Him, we come to a steady stage. In the Bhakti Samraj Sindhu, the word is Thaibhav, is used to refer to a steady attraction.
And that steady attraction to the Supreme Lord helps us to transcend the material emotions that we are going through. Because these material emotions are ultimately temporary. They are just waves in the ocean.
And Krishna is the anchor. So, rather than trying to figure out the contradictory and unpredictable and ambivalent, ambivalent means ever-changing emotions of the mind, we focus on purifying the mind. The emotional energy, if we get caught up with it, then the emotional energy can keep us focused, obsessed, trapped in material things.
But, instead of letting that emotional energy carry us away, we focus on purifying ourselves without letting our consciousness become consumed by the contradictory currents of emotional energies. We will find that by the power of devotion, by the taste of remembrance of Krishna and the resulting purification and satisfaction, the mind’s wild emotions will themselves become calmed down. यस्मेन विरद्धगतयो यानीशं पतंती And in this way, all the contradictions of the mind will be calmed by attentive chanting.
Thank you.
