Can Gita 18.14 adhisthanam refer to some place of action other than the body?

Thank you Hare Krishna question from Shant Kulkarni Prabhu can Adhishtanam in Gita 18.44 refer to something other than the body for example for a businessman it can refer to the office where shop where business is being done and for the student it can refer to the college or the university answer Adhishtanam does not refer to something other than the body it can refer to something in addition to the body that means it is not a replacement it can be an extension so basically the word Adhishtanam so it refers to the seat the abode the location now the context of the verses it is talking about action so we are talking about seat location venue of action and most Gita commentators including Srila Prabhupada as well as the Priyasacharyas most of them they refer to it as the body so now if you look at it from the Sanskrit point of view yes it can refer to the arena of action which can be not just the body it can be the surrounding area also so that is a factor in action means for example if somebody is to say a person may be capable of swimming but if the atmosphere is extremely cold then swimming may not be possible or if the water is infected with predator predatory aquatics sharks whales alligators then also swimming may not be practical so that indicates that the arena where we are it does shape our actions we can and cannot do certain actions in certain situations so yes by extension the Adhishtanam can also refer to our situation apart from the body situation our socio-cultural situation our political situation that can also be a factor and that can also determine the possibility or the feasibility of certain actions so it can refer to students for a student to university for a businessman to a commercial business person to a commercial house or things like that the essential point is of this is to recognize that we alone are not the doers and the results of our actions are determined by factors beyond our own are affected not necessarily determined are affected by factors beyond ourselves also thank you Hare Krishna.
