Gita 10.17 – The nectar of Krishna consciousness awaits those who persevere with faith and intelligence

Thank you so here Krishna is being addressed by Arjuna with the request to elaborately speak his glories in detail please speak about your personal glories oh lord, about your glory please speak satisfaction there is no I am not satisfied by hearing this nectar this satisfaction is not undesirable, it is supremely desirable because the more we are craving for Krishna the more we will be cleansing ourselves of worldly cravings the devotional cravings will drive out our worldly cravings and that's why this is a very desirable craving in fact Rupa Goswami says that tatra laulyam api maunyam ekalam janma koti sukruti bhir na lagyate krishnara sabhavitam ati kriyatam virikuto bilagyate wherever you may get can get wherever you can get immediately take Krishna consciousness and what is the price you have to pay for it this sukruti for my lifetimes is not too much you have to have greed for it so now Arjuna has heard Krishna's message till the 10th chapter Krishna has spoken with Vishloki where he has revealed his glory and his mercy to his devotees and Krishna, Arjuna has become completely charmed by that and he is asking Krishna please speak more please speak more so that same Krishna who speaks so many glories is now speaking is now going to speak his glories as they are manifested in the material world and it's significant that Arjuna is not asking for some intimate pastime he is saying that your manifestations in matter that was his question in matter, how can I remember you and he is saying that that is nectarian so that means that actually any and every manifestation of Krishna can be nectarian once our heart is attracted to him and whichever way we are attracted to Krishna, that is our fortune so by remembering that this is how much how attractive Krishna actually is when we are chanting we may not feel this attraction the holy name may not seem to be dripping with nectar with immeasurable nectar as Rupa Goswami says I do not know how much nectar these two syllables Krishna has produced we may not sense anything like that but we know that these great souls like Arjuna, like Rupa Goswami they are not lying they are simply giving their testimony from their first person experience and they are by having those by sharing those experiences they are also inviting inviting us to march in the path that you also give a good experience and that path requires perseverance that which is amrita for Arjuna that Rupa Goswami also explains to us that that because we are contaminated by ignorance just as sugarcane juice doesn't taste sweet so the holy name is not tasting sweet to us if we just respectfully keep accepting the holy name, serving the holy name regularly then gradually gradually taste will manifest from the root our ignorance will be destroyed the ignorance that makes Krishna seem unattractive to us will become uprooted and eradicated all that we need to do is just persevere with faith with intelligence, with diligence breathe in the testimony of those great souls who have shared their experiences with us intelligence to understand the philosophy that what tastes like poison now will taste like nectar in the future and diligence that though it may require time, but it will happen we just need to keep progressing one moment at a time, one mantra at a time one thought at a time let this thought be offered to Krishna.
