Thank you. 1.5.8 Sri Narada Vachan Bhavata Antita Prayam Yashobhagvato Amalam Enai Vasaunathusheetam Annetad Darshanam Kilam So here Narada Muni is telling Yasadev that Yashobhagvato Amalam Bhavata, by you, although you have done a lot of Anudita Prayam, you have almost not praised the Lord who has spotless glories.
And if he is not pleased, if his glorification is not done, Enai Vasaunathusheetam Annetad Darshanam Kilam I consider that to be inferior. So Yasadev is asking Narada Muni, why am I feeling dissatisfied? Having done so many things and Narada Muni is answering that it is because you have not glorified the Supreme Lord. Even the Vedic times have six systems of philosophy and each system had its own utility, its own scale of own way of looking at the world and its own scale of values and its own set of conclusions.
All of them were ultimately meant to take us towards Krishna but not all of them did that gradually. Not all of them did that directly. So Yasadev has written these various books and they talk about various things.
Although they talk about Krishna also, they don’t focus on Krishna. And that’s why Narada Muni is saying, You have almost not glorified the Supreme Lord because when the Lord is just made one of the hundreds and thousands of topics that are there in the scripture, then people get lost, not knowing how central and how critical and how vital and how indispensable subject Krishna is. So to help them understand that, it is important that one be able to recognize the centrality of Krishna.
And for that, now we should glorify Krishna steadily. So here, Yasadev is being told indirectly, but that will become direct as we move forward in the future verses, that inadequate glorification of the Lord is the cause of inner dissatisfaction. In our life also, we may be doing many activities, we may be doing devotional activities, but it is for us to check whether we are feeling fulfilled by what we are doing.
And if we are not, we cannot just keep going on doing those things lifelong as just a ritual. We will start dragging our feet, and over a period of time, just the inner struggle and trying to do those things will be so much that we will not be able to continue them for very long. That’s why if we want to continue doing these things, we need to remember that ultimately, it’s for me to do these things, and the way I will do these things is by putting my heart into them, and to put my heart into them, I need to feel a heart-to-heart connection with Krishna.
So whatever activity is, whatever the means by which I get some kind of heart-to-heart connection with Krishna, through that I’ll take steps one by one progressively till I ultimately attain Krishna’s lotus feet. So by keeping our vision focused on that central point that Krishna is my Lord, and I want to love and serve Him, and that is the purpose of my whole life. Yes, there are many activities that I have to do in my life, but Krishna should not get lost as just one of the activities.
He is the center and the purpose of everything that I am doing. And when we give adequate time, thought, and priority to our connection with Krishna, then everything else falls in place, and then we start experiencing deep contentment. Thank you.
