destroyed by time destroyed by disease,destroyed ultimately by death and when it is destroyed thus sometimes people have fantasies about even after they die how their body will get a royal treatment may be hundred thousands of people will come to offer flowers in respects and that person will get a royal sort of departure royal funeral will be there state honors might be there so the national flag may fly at half mast so people may have various kinds of dreams like this of what all of how I want to die nowadays there is a big industry also which is called the death style industry now we have heard of life style what is the death style death style is people before they die they design their coffins in advance they design the ok the coffin should be made of this material and it should be shaped like this and this should be written as the epitaph on it and they make it itself a very big big thing and quite often every human urge every human more specifically human weakness there are always people out there to exploit it so there are people who are out there to exploit this death style also this urge for dying in style death style means the urge for dying in style now actually no one dies in style when we die we are weak we are powerless we are overwhelmed by nature and more importantly where we go after death that is something which none of us knows especially for people who have not done anything to create a auspicious future for themselves then their destination is very very dark indeed and to be protected from such a destination to attain a higher destination what they need is to to actually not plan the style of their coffin but plan the state of their consciousness so to the extent we can plan and prepare the state of our consciousness to that extent we can hope for a good destination in future the whole process of how the soul goes from one body to the next body what happens to the soul in its post-mortem state is described in the Vedic literature using systematic explanation of the underlying principles and such an explanation is very illuminating and we should all learn from this experience and learn from this knowledge learn this knowledge and thereby we prepare ourselves for the eventual crisis and disaster that are going to befall us in the form of death people rather than worrying about where they are going to go after death where their soul is going to go people are more worried about how their body is going to be after death now even if the body is put in a very fashionable coffin even then it is so sad, it is so pitiable that what people are concerned about is oh I should look good at the time of death now actually the fact is that I am not even there and I will not be there to look also so I am not the body and I won't be there around, usually the Yamunas come and take the soul away and the soul goes to a future destination therefore getting caught in these sort of fantasies is very regrettable and phrases like this that what is the point of being attached to the body like this this body is destined to die just as and it is after death it may well be eaten by dogs and jackals now we may hope that oh no no my body will get a respectable funeral but we don't know what is going to happen in future it may well happen that the war breaks out and the whole governmental machinery collapses and when we die there is such chaos all around that there is no one to do a proper funeral there are in the history of people, millions of people who have died like this, millions and millions of billions so by getting a cerebral jolt like this from reading phrases like this this body is meant to be eaten by jackals or jackals or dogs the point of this is to create detachment within us from our body and from the body's identification and thereby turn our consciousness towards spiritual subsistence and in the context of the discussion over here the point is that we all will move towards Krishna if we can just detach ourselves from the body and the promises of the body and here it is said that those who attract Krishna's virtue by practicing bhakti diligently those who those who attract his daya those who get his mercy they will definitely be liberated and in contrast with that those who have been infatuated with the body, been misidentifying with the body thinking that by using my body I can achieve everything, I don't need God such people will end will meet an inglorious end ignominious end that might well be that the body itself is eaten by jackals and dogs, so we need to avoid such a fate and get the fate of and seek the auspicious destination of Krishna's lotus feet by practicing bhakti and taking shelter of those lotus feet in this life itself.
